After doing some more research, I have learned that the new Sanzen Tomoe River paper has faster ink absorption. This would explain the quicker drying time and the "scratchy" sensation that I have been experiencing. Leave your thoughts down below 😄

I never understood why journal youtubers buy piling the old tomoe river notebooks due to the new sanzen one. The results looks great 👍

Thank you for this comparison. I actually... think I prefer the new one. I use a Weeks on the go go go and jot quickly. The inky run off has been something annoying to contend with. But now with this new paper it looks like that'll be way less of a problem. Thanks again!

Well, I had never tried the “OG” TRP (actually, I think I have a sheet of it in my JetPens paper sampler, I’ll go check.) What is the brand of ink for the fountain pen in Carbon Black? That’s a really nice rich black! The smudging was awful on the original as well as bleed through with gel pens. I went through a lot of school before gel pens were even invented. Roller balls were a big deal…they definitely looked nicer (but I don’t like them.) So, I have a hatred for all ball point pens because of the lack of choice and many a terrible ball point used for many hours on thousands of pieces of junk Mead paper, lol. Oh! What is and where did you get that “jelly bubble” grip for the Uni pen you used? I love that!!! It will save my hands and I neeeeeeed that in my life.

The brand of ink is Platinum (Platinum Carbon ink). The jelly grip I purchased online from Paper Plus Cloth, but it seems they don't carry them anymore. I'm not sure what they are called, but I think if you search "jelly pencil grip", you should be able to find something similar 😇
