BMW, run with a Dbus system, which causes a pulse, the LED also works on Pulse, this is why the light fails signal is on, it needs a fixed filament bulb to counter the Dbus system. I hope this helps.
A ballast resistor in parallel to the bulbs would probably sort it too, but it doesn’t bother me too much as all I have to do is flick the lights on for a second and turn them back off and then the warning stays off til next time the ignition is cycled

The lights in this car have always been shit. I tried a few different bulbs to upgrade them, the last ones were the novsight which were decent. These are definitely better though. Fit better and beam pattern is better because of it.

You have a dark line in the middle with the Q16. My DDS-M5 have a dark spot in the middle and I' researching the Q16 to replace into my 330i. Do you still have the dark line in the middle?
I have a small one yes, but I also have it with the halogen bulbs too. My lenses aren’t in good condition though. I had a worse dark line in the middle with the novsight I tested in a previous video, but overall they were a big improvement over the halogen too.
Thanks for getting back to me. I returned my Auxito LEDs and bought exactly the same improve 2023 Auxito bulbs you have and I still have the same problem with the dark line in the middle. This only happens with my E46. The dark line does not appear on the E90 with the same reflector headlights. The same dark line does not happen with my 2001 Tacoma with the Auxito HB4 and neither does it happen with my E60 Auxito HID LEDs. Yes, I spent a fortune in Auxito bulbs but the problem is with the E46 low beam only. I think the problem is in the E46 low beam headlight because when I turn on the high beam, the dark line disappears. I've been cursing Auxito but that may not be the problem. Any ideas on how to fix the dark line on the E46 because I was not getting it with the halllogen bulbs. Thanks in advance brother!!!!
@@likits1999 I get the same dark line, but I didn’t mention it in the video as the car has always had the line, as I also get it with halogen bulbs too. The beam with the Auxito replicates the halogen beams extremely well and I’m sure the issue is with the headlight units themselves. I think adjusting the headlamps to point inwards a bit more so the beams overlap is the solution, but I’ve not spent much time trying it yet.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos I checked h7 there, then I will look for the same lamps as in this video, do you also have a video where the LED lamp is installed through spacers, is there any difference? in the lamp itself? I speak English poorly and it’s not clear to me in the video)
@@elektr1k_ these are better than the ones installed with spacers. The ones installed with the spacers are the novsight. They are still good but they are more awkward to fit and they don’t fit as strongly in the holder and can wiggle about a bit.

You can code out the voltage check and it stops the light coming on

Make sense, but how do you code them !?

You should also replace the highbeam with those LED. I just did that and it's a huuuge upgrade. Even more than the low beam
I probably will do when funds allow it

The heat that comes off the "bulb" is it enough to melt snow/ice of the light housing?
Depends how bad the snow is. They do give off a bit of heat though.

Hey it says these bulbs don fit my 2005 Bmw e46 320cd. Do I need those brackets to make them fit ? If so what are the brackets ?
If your car has H7 halogen bulbs as standard then these should fit straight in
It looks good! Did you got a light in your dashboard after installing them?
I get a bulb fail warning light, but only until I turn the lights on, then it goes away.
Hey nice video. Are the lights still working since you installed them? I am really tempted to get them but wanna make sure that they are good!
Still working perfectly yes, they are decent
