Hi and thank you for your video. Maybe you wouldn’t mind helping me with a few questions I have. In 2021 I will have my 70 birthday and want to fulfill my life dream to visit Mongolia. I have most interest in the golden eagle festival and the Bactrian camels. I live in southern Spain so my questions are how to reach from here in Spain and how to arrange my trip the same as you didn’t? Thank you for any help you can offer.
We offer trips to Mongolia as well. You can visit adventurecalls.us and contact us through there. Eagle hunters did not ask for money directly but we did have small amounts of cash ready and gave tips often
thank you for the video...I have a couple of questions...how hard did you find it to charge batteries when you were staying in the area of the festival? Do you think you could have gotten some use out of a longer zoom than a 70-200mm? Lastly, I'd be interested to know where you have your photos posted from your trip.
Welcome. The festival is not far from town and most visitors will stay in hotel and have power. Other parts of the country is trickier and a good supply of precharged batteries will come in handy. Also the temperature drops pretty heavy at nighttime which can wear out the batteries. When we were out in the wilderness we would sleep with batteries in our sleeping bag. A long lens is definitely useful. Ideally we would have the 400mm L lens but $$$. You should check out our adventure calls us Facebook page where there are multiple photo albums. Thanks for watching!
You can visit the far place in the Altai for meeting real nomadic herders and Eagle Hunters with generator to charge the battery. We arrange these kind of things.
I have heard there was an incident involving a lot of conflict and the tasering of a horse and possibly also a man at the eagle festival this year. Did you not see or hear anything?!
+Meghan Fitz-James I haven't been able to find anything on that. We were there 2016 and planning to go back 2018. If you find any information I would be curious to see it. I will say that we felt perfectly safe there and I would expect that to be a freak occurence
Adventure Calls I have found two blogs, 2 first hand witnesses have reported to me anonymously and I have have been sent video footage lasting 4,27 minutes from one of them. I will be producing a report video and putting it on RUclips about it. There are absolutely no news on this either inside or outside of Mongolia. My video should be ready within the week. Look for some starter insight by seeing blog by Lisa Vanderzweep. The other blog ( with much less and detail) is my Linda Dillenbeck. My sources are extremely solid people whose identities I have to protect fiercely. But you will see my video report, along with, I hope, the world. And the issue of there being no news on this whatsoever is very, very telling.
Almost ready to leave for the golden eagle festival 2024. So excited. Thanks for these great tips!
Thank you so much for the great hints. Very helpful.
Thanks Ed. I hope some of it is useful!
Super helpful.
We hope so! Things of course might have changed some since release
FASCINATING ‼️is there any opportunity to ride the horses??
