- Michael Jeffrey Jordan (born February 17, 1963) is a retired American professional basketball player and active businessman. Proclaimed by the National Basketball Association (NBA) as the "greatest player of all time", Jordan was one of the most effectively marketed athletes of his generation, and was instrumental in popularizing the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s.
After a stand-out career at the University of North Carolina, Jordan joined the NBA's Chicago Bulls in 1984. He quickly emerged as one of the stars of the league, entertaining crowds with his prolific scoring. His leaping ability, illustrated by performing slam dunks from the free throw line at Slam Dunk Contests, earned him the nicknames "Air Jordan" and "His Airness". He also gained a reputation as one of the best defensive players in basketball. In 1991, he won his first NBA championship with the Bulls, and followed that achievement with titles in 1992 and 1993, securing a "three-peat". Though Jordan abruptly left the NBA at the beginning of the 1993-94 NBA season to pursue a career in baseball, he rejoined the Bulls in 1995 and led them to three additional championships (1996, 1997, and 1998) as well as an NBA-record 72 regular-season wins in the 1995--96 season. Jordan retired for a second time in 1999, but he returned for two more NBA seasons in 2001 as a member of the Washington Wizards.
Jordan's individual accolades and accomplishments include five MVP awards, ten All-NBA First Team designations, nine All-Defensive First Team honors, fourteen NBA All-Star Game appearances and three All-Star MVP, ten scoring titles, three steals titles, six NBA Finals MVP awards, and the 1988 NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. He holds the NBA record for highest career regular season scoring average with 30.1 points per game, as well as averaging a record 33.4 points per game in the playoffs. In 1999, he was named the greatest North American athlete of the 20th century by ESPN, and was second to Babe Ruth on the Associated Press's list of athletes of the century.
Jordan is also noted for his product endorsements. He fueled the success of Nike's Air Jordan sneakers, which were introduced in 1985 and remain popular today. Jordan also starred in the 1996 feature film Space Jam. He is currently a part-owner and Managing Member of Basketball Operations of the Charlotte Bobcats in his home state of North Carolina.
There will be no Micheal Jordan! Greatest basketball player who ever lived! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯
the TRUE GOAT
The expression on Lambeer's face as he exited the floor in #4 was ABSOLUTELY priceless😀😃😄🙂🙃
That wasn't Laimbeer. Laimbeer retired in 1994. And he.never played for the Charlotte hornets.
Best player ever. No arguments.
Cherish G Exactly! And I'm not even a Chicago fan - just look at the facts. Michael Jordan was easily the basketball player ever who wanted to beat Barkley which he did, wanted to beat Malone which he did, wanted to beat Magic which he did, wanted to beat Bird which he did, wanted to beat Isaiah which he did, wanted to beat Patrick Ewing which he did, wanted to beat Drexler which he did, wanted to beat Stockton which he did, stuck with his team during his incredible Championship Runs and didn't take his talents to somewhere else. Michael Jordan wants to beat them, not join them.
@@ash27slick74 FACTS!!!
@@ash27slick74 Detriot Pistons beat them twice in the playoffs
@Jacob Vanderhooft Don't be a dumbass and join fools who push Lebron in this argument. Lebron has had better players in his Miami years and only has 3 rings.
MGVolts did they beat him in the finals ?
I am so lucky to have been born in time to watch MJ in all his glory, I was only 10 but that kind of stuff really sticks with a young boy.
Michael Jordan is a basketball legend! I just never get tired of watching him play!
He shoots jumpshots over 7 footers, and theyre not even a fade aways.
@M NO ONE CARES.
that shot at 3:10 over Ehlo is one of the most memorable to me. I love ehlo's reaction lol
You gotta love how Craig Ehlo crumbles after that shot.
I'd like to send a personal 'Thank You' to the entire Ehlo family - from Bulls fans everywhere. That sequence & reaction has brought countless joy to our hearts.
Most players are lucky to have more than a few buzzer beaters. The fact that Michael has so many that you can make a top 10 out of it shows how damn awesome he is.
man.....just watching this, and watching the energy in the crowd when MJ has the ball, you can really tell that this was his league
He made basketball looks easy to play he is the god the legend of NBA nobody we'll be like him
Son I had seen lesbians play basketball way better then you get the fuck out of here kid
+Juan Garcia hahaha damn nice one
Juan Garcia I hope one day I can be just like him I practice 24/7 I love basketball with all my heart I hope one day I can be the best of my generation like micheal said I practiced and practiced 🙌
KsLz Qurtinz dont be greedy you dont have balls
One word-Lebron
respect. i dont like basketball nor any other sports but watching this kind of stuff gives me shivers.
why shivers
Too much of an amazing player. Easily the best player that has every played this game.
Much love MJ!
Hello from 11 years later. How different is your life now?
@@Homer-OJ-Simpson dam you made that comment 7 months ago
@@wegggcapaa Oh no, I'm old now.
I can say MJ is great but I'll always hold a torch for my hero Jim Thorpe
Where's the buzzer beater he had in game 1 vs . The Monstars when he was was on the Tunesquad?
Yeah, I didn't see it in the video.
Yeah man, where is that?
Corny
YOOO LMFAOAAAA
Ikr
Happy Birthday Michael Air Jordan, you're the Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hang time on #3 to beat the block is just pure magic.
One of my all time favorite memories of MJ. I remember being a kid and watching that.
he's the only player with top 10 buzzer beaters
No he not idiot kobe has top 30
It's one thing to have a buzzer beater, which is impressive enough, but to have a top 10 tribute to this just truly shows how amazing MJ is!! :)
Thank God I was alive to see MJ do his thing!!
Greatest player and most clutch player ever..... GOAT!
Kobe made the most buzzer beaters
@@beast12340987 not in the playoffs or finals. Kobe had more regular season. Mj had more playoffs and finals. Mj had more series winning game winners too.
Each 1 Teach 1 kobe still shoots better
@@beast12340987 kobe shot more 3s. Young people say that and its just not true. You actually had ti be watching mj from 85 to 93. Mj midrange was pure and he hit alot of big 3s in the playoffs and finals. Kobe rih just shot more 3s. Mj never struggled with his jumper upon entering the league like kobe did from 96 to 99.
@@beast12340987 shots kobe hit where he couldn't see the fucking rim. The toughest most difficult shot maker In history is Bean. Airness was just more and better than anyone else.
The shot in 89 against Cavs is the greatest shot ever. That's what started it all for Chicago. The shot in 98 is the one that seals MJ as the greatest
3:35
He already knows he's getting the ball. Simply the greatest
And Dennis is like “ I sure ain’t getting the ball, why are we even in this huddle.”
His read of the defense is so excellent its unreal. In today's game a lot of guys either have difficulty with this or just don't do this. Even big guys will turn towards their defender in the post because they can't read the defense.
MJ is never ever the king of basketball. He is the god.
yeah but lebron is the king and kobe is the legend of all time
mrcreeper098 yeah but 2X2=4X4=16+16=32 divided by 4=8X8=64+64=128+128=256+256=512+512=1024+1024=2048+2048=4096+4096=8882 yeah boy you got TOLD.

The chills while watching this video..he is the goat!!
we miss you air mike...greetings from Greece!!!
His airness....the hang time, the shot and the excitement!! Michael #23 and #45, the very best ever and truly, the most electrifying and entertaining player to ever see handle a basketball.🏀🏀
number 7 was def most hardest shot. turn around jumper at college 3 pointline, also a fadeaway.
Craig Ehlo's reaction to "The Shot"
it's always happen to craig ehlo
What is the best illustration of being a "hater?" Disliking this video.
Corey D Probably Kobe or LeBron fans.
Jordan > kobe > lebron
hahaha nice. very tru
WOW!!! I'm the biggest Jordan junky known to man.
It's great that the game finally has someone to carry the torch. We all love Lebron. Bless you brother!
Best basketball player ever, hands down. There will never be anyone like him.
Who's watching 2016?
I love the Jordan nostalgia, but #1 wasn't technically a buzzer beater.
Growing up in the Chi during this time was a cool experience. Chicago was on top of the world.....literally!
Thanks Mike!
Lebron?Kobe?Harden? still jordan is a champion
3:27 Craig Ehlo tho 😂😂😂😂
Proof that this was the 90s: Woman wearing a tie at 1:08.
Michael Jordan - Top 10 Buzzer Beaters
most of those buzzer beaters were sure fun to watch live drinking a beer at a sports bar. good memories!
He broke 2 of the Bucks ankle for a game winner lol
f....k MJ!!! NEVER missed it when for the win!!!!!!! best ever by FAR
He's missed 26 buzzer beaters
Do u know how many he missed? Like 20+
+SymbioteSpiderman07 His clutch shooting percentage is higher than anyone else in NBA history though - that's been established. The numbers are out there - he shot 50% in game winning situations. Kobe I think is around 26%, and Lebron is somewhere around 35-40% I believe. But no one in history has ever shot close to 50% on game winning shots... except MJ. It's pretty hard to be like Mike
+Michael L lol nah it's Kobe
+Deluxe Falcon oh, you mean mr. trash himself?
THE BEST IN HISTORY: Jordan, Bryant, Olajuwon, Iverson and...I'm still thinking....Ok Wilt Chamberlain.
+Jairo Garcia you got the order wrong but yeah pretty much it :)
The order does'nt matter
to you I guess...
I'm a legend
+Jairo Garcia magic johnson, barkley, isiah thomas, many great ones, but only one greatest
Wonder who are those 665 people who dislikes this!!! MJ seems to be the final word in sports excellence! I haven't seen anything better!
bestest in the whole wide universe. nba right now sucks, rules are absurd, players are boring to watch. if i had magic, i would turn all the hall of famers back to their prime again.
If only you had Magic...and Jordan and Clyde the Glide and Bird and all the rest of them that made the NBA so stellar before. :/
That would be amazing. I'd watch basketball again, and we'd get to see how Lebron stacks up against the best ever.
Also imagine how great MJ, Magic, Bird, Clyde, Hakeem, and all the other greats during the NBA Golden era would have been with modern day training science, nutrition science, and supplement science that they didn't have back in the day.
Add all the wack, weak rules they play with and we'd have an honest picture of the HOFers and the current (Lebron) NBA.
NBA today is pathetic in comparison to late 80's and 90's.
For real
ahem 1982 NCAA Basketball Championship, Michael hits a shot for UNC to win it. Where was this one at
I agree with you on that..Thats where it all started
Still the same game-winning effect dimwit
Question, you are not a Duke fan right?
***** If you were a Duke fan then no way would I agree with you
This highlight video is part of a dvd collection made by NBA Films...so probably didnt have rights to college material. Personally i would put his UNC shot in third place behind "The Shot" at Utah 1998, and the shot to beat the cavs in game 5 (Craig Ehlo).
The 1982 NCAA Final shot was better than all of em
One of my favorite players ever over the years Kobe Bryant was my second favorite they both was killers on the court they will to win was crazy MJ is my Goat 🐐 and will forever be the Greatest player ever hands down
why ppl is talking about Lecry James here?, this is a MJ video.
ɷɷɷ Heeey Friendsssss I Have Found W0rikinggg Online Hacck visittttt : - t.co/r7DCoe8vGi
Dafuq?? The second was definitely not a buzzer beater
Number 2 was definitely a buzzer beater you can see the shot clock go off
uhhh yes it was. come on dummy. you can see the clock go to zero as the ball goes through the net. I watched that game live, 1997 NBA Finals game 1. It was amazing.
lol that last shot tho, he pushed the other guy
Buddy that's actually allowed in the N.B.A. I know you might be a bit confused because you play Div11 for an age group 2 years younger than you.
Arjan Lion Actually it isn't. The refs just somehow missed the call. Theres a reason why that shot was so controversial at the time.
airbaler Actually I watched that live. And there was no controversy. The only way that looks like a push-off is in slow-motion from a low camera angle. No chance that ever gets called a push-off.
Your right Jeffrey, he pushed the other guy, he even slap him in the face before a shot earlier in the same game. Allowed or not, it's a push. But Jordan is Jordan...
Ramon STA. CRUZ Even if it was someone besides Jordan, the ref will never make that call. Not even 1 out of 100 times. That's a good no-call.
The music is so 80's man, unbelievable
What a bad quality vid!dislike for this!but jordan was the best and the beast
Maybe jk?
My god, so many good memories. That list is probably a tenth of the buzzer beaters Jordan had too. Look at all of those playoff clinching shots too. There is no doubt that Jordan = GOAT. As this video even shows he could do it on the defensive end of the court as well as anyone and didn't have to 'work on it in the offseason' like some other pretenders to the throne. Jordan: LEGEND
Like an incredible movie. Finishes where he began his Greatness. On the Foul Line. Jordan Blew up on the World Stage with his Foul Line Jumper against the Cavs in the Playoffs and he finishes his 6TH Ship with a Foul Line Jumper Against The Jazz. Pretty Poetic.
you know your the best when your highlight reel for BUZZER BEATERS can last 5 minutes
that 240p gives you the real feel of what this legend has done
1:08 The 90s in a nutshell (MJ ruling, strange fashion, no smartphones...Nice memories)
Laimbeer's face at 2:46 hahaha MJ's the best
man I wish I was old enough to remember this era.
it took me 5 minutes of my life, but the best 5 minutes of my live!!
the thing that makes jordan the best is the fact that everyone knew who was getting the ball in the situations and still couldnt stop him.
Happy b-day MJ. Thank you for making the NBA what it is today.
I wish I'd watched basketball back in the 90's now. I missed out on alot and not just Jordan alone.
Those moments are very defining.
jordan is my favorite basketball player ever he never quits and he once said play every game like its your last
no body can't stop jordan!!! he's the best nba player 4 me!! go it?
Best of all and reason he was so good, is that Michael is a great great person. God working through him
The Pistons game the buzzer beater was epic
Let me correct you "Jordan is amazing! Passion for the game, decent mid range shooter, awesome dunker and most of all 6 rings. He is the best NBA player ever."
I watch his games just too see the og jordans
Michael Jordan is the only player that has enough buzzer beaters to create a list of the best ones
Michael Jordan is a master of suspense!
His college coach, Dean Smith played a Big part in giving Jordan the confidence he had. In the 1982 National Championship game against Georgetown, Coach Smith gave MJ the green light to shoot at ANY time. When it came to the end, Jordan made what turned out to be the game winner. Luckily for the Tarheels, Georgetown messed up and never got a shot off. Love my Heels!
If only i could watch it live
can't stop the BEAST!!!!!
Kobe has hit a lot of clutch shots, but he's missed so many, especially since 2010, that no one in the media talks about him being a clutch shooter anymore. He hadn't hit a gm winner since then until a month ago. I write this the morning after he just missed his LAST one (vs Wash). He's good, but he's not God. He does have the reputation in fan's minds, but Fisher was easily just as clutch (or more) than Kobe was from 2004-2011, but D-Fish doesn't get the credit that a superstar like Kobe does.
Michael Jordan is a legend bruh🏀🏀🏀👌👌👌♥♥🔥🔥
i truly believe 90's NBA was the best era ever!
Micheal Jordan is the best buzzer beaters
He always goes right for his jumpshots.
KING OF THE COURT! AND GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME!!!
What a wonderful reply. Lemme go jot that down to make someone cry later when they insult me.
Jordan was and still is amazing and everybody nows it haters, criticizers, who liked him who didn't they couldn't do nothing to stop him on the court so definitely haters cant stop him with their words respect is due for the jump man..and in all respect he's really a motivational force everyone wants to be like Mike
I love how we can always tell what season/year each clip is by what shoe Michaels wearing lol 😂
No hay mas nada que buscar, el mejor y mas destacado atleta del siglo 20.Sir Michae Jordan. There is mo doubt, the best atlet of the twenty century,Señor Michael Jordan.
Bill Laimbeer face after Jordan hits the buzzer beater priceless
This guy knows what he's talking about a true basketball viewer, 100 percent accurate statements
greatness
The most clutch player of all time
MJ is the greatest no one can beat him
Great man! What a remarkable set of nerves
the living legend of basketball
I just wish we could watch Michael Jordan in HD...lol.
That 3 point buzzer beater shot he hit against the pistons was the most impressive shot to me cause Jordan was never known as a 3 point shooter in his career.
he did it again !!!!!!!
michael jordan had a massive heart when he knew he needed to step up he could. and that makes his buzzer beaters sweeter.... G.O.A.T....... every basketballer has there own character. Dont hate on anyone.
Legendary
Micheal Jordan the greatest basketball player of all time!! no question. #23
honorable mention to MJ's game winning shot way back in his college days
