Harry. You need to invite the gentleman who helped restore the body and internals of your zagato to your place after it is done. We would love to see their reaction. Masters. No question
This and the Jag restoration have by far been my favorite of all of your vids. The craftsmanship that has gone into this restoration is something else, was blown away by all the panel work Adrian did in earlier videos and have never seen someone take quite such care with prep for a respray as Sam, clearly a brilliant firm to restore the Zagato!
Watching skilled, old school craftsmen, is one of the rare pleasures in life. The product of their labour is almost incidental to how they made it. This is why quality workmanship has premium value.

The Fulvia is starting to look very nice. I think the Rosso Rally really brings the unique Zagato lines to life when you compare it to black. Which is good now that the shapes are actually right. Can't wait to see her all back together!
OMG, that looks Fantastic !! got to be the best Lancia Fulvia Zagato in the UK if not the World. Well done Harry, along with Jag, up there with the best of your videos. Ten out of Ten.
The car is looking fabulous with the first coat of the Lancia Rosso Rally Red paint that it originally had from new. The quality of the finish is testimony to all the skill & hard work that Ade & Sam have put in to what was a badly corroded bodyshell. The before & after shots you added to the video are amazing & show just how far this restoration has come. I am now looking forward to seeing and hearing the restored engine back in the car, along with the rest of the mechanicals in the very near future!
That little Lancia was a beautifully styled body, classic lines, a pitty they were assembled so shoddily, and so rust prone. Your body shop guys have done a fabulous job of bringing your Lancia back from the brink, and that colour is perfect. Good one Harry.
What a beautiful finish. The way the light plays over those subtle curves and creases is wonderful. With a shine like that out of the gun surely all that's required is a gentle buff and polish. It already looks way better than it would have when it was new. So eager to see everything bolted back in now. This is mouth watering and you're a very lucky boy. Thanks for bringing us all along for the ride.
Considering the car was a Frankenstein monster originally before the rebuild, the finished bodywork looks amazing. The bloke who did all the metal work certainly showed his 40 year experience, and he needed it. Brilliant job so far, cannot wait to see the finished work of art, back in original colour. Beautiful little car. Thanks Harry.
What a joy to see men who REALLY know their job and produce perfect results. No hype words, over promises, “epics”, big claims….they just know what to do and that is special. Harry…this car is going to be something to see when you finally get the handover. We will all be watching!!!😀😀😀😀
That's real craftmanship right there. I cringed seeing how bad the shell was but now you really can see how good this classic is going to be. Proud moment for all involved :)
Oh, it's a beautiful shade. And magnificent craftsmanship. So good you opted for the original colour. I think we all just can't wait to see it finished and in the sun outside
It looks absolutely fantastic, Harry! This restoration sure is costing an eye-watering sum, given the astonishing amount of work it's been done on the car over the last year. All I can say then is thank you for sharing it all with us, I'm enjoying this project massively and I'm very much looking forward to the next episode!
To be fair, it was probably many oafs responsible for the state of the Zagato. It's decline was probably started before it even left Lancia. As a previous owner of a Lancia Beta Coupe, they were beautiful to look at and drive, but rotted out in a few years.
The "oafs" that owned this no doubt drove it with enthusiasm and loved it with pride and nostalgia, and did restoration appropriate to the value of the car at the time, which was far less than today. Today the capitalism of world empire has pushed so much economic gain to the few that the price of every decent old thing has shot through the roof and this sort of expenditure can be accommodated. As an Italian you should have at least some appreciation of economic injustice.
