    The optional equipment is full body paint, auto leveling, the diesel generator (normal is an LP generator), lithium batteries, dual pane acrylic windows, and theater seats (instead of dinette). It comes standard with some driver assist technology. The lower storage in the middle (same place on driver and passenger side) has a small pass-through. The wardrobe/storage in the bathroom has a “false floor” and can be removed to make a larger storage area that is accessible through the shoulder level outside door on the camp side of the unit. My wife and I currently have a 2022 Ford E-450 series Class C motorhome (driver assist technology is required for us now). Winnebago has the driver assist technology in their Ford E-series motorhomes and the Sprinter Class Cs. We went to look at a Minnie Winnie that has an identical floorplan to what we have now. We saw the Navion/View and also took it for a test drive. It was a night and day difference. Comparatively speaking, the E-series units are load. You need to speak loudly to carry on a conversation with the “co-pilot” and forget about talking (without yelling) to anyone behind the cab. The Navion/View was quiet and the driver could carry on a conversation with the person in the passenger seat and someone sitting in the dinette. The Navion/View also handles much better. At the campsite, the cab seats can swivel to face the cab and some have a small pedestal table that can be set up. We figured we could sleep 6 (maybe 7 if kids are smaller), but you can only transport 4.

    There are 2 places to put desk tables. One in front of the MB couch and the other in front of the front seats.

    Look at the yellow weight label. I’m pretty sure the CCC (Cargo Capacity) is less than 1000 lbs. Subtract a full tank of water, approximately 400 lbs, and you’re left with 600 lbs. Subtract your body weights, now you’re down to 300 lbs of of clothes, food, and camping gear. I suggest you look at a little bit bigger 25’ on a Ford Super Duty chassis. Happy Travels.

    • @NavyAviationVeteranRVer
      @NavyAviationVeteranRVer Месяц назад

      Actually, a lot of companies have switched from the Mercedes 3500 to the 4500. OCCC goes from 809 to over 2200. The 25 Thor Delano uses the 4500.

    • @BrazenBrits
      @BrazenBrits  Месяц назад +1

      You can also only tow 5000lbs I believe which isn’t great

    • @larrygray1557
      @larrygray1557 6 дней назад

      @@NavyAviationVeteranRVer Yes, two companies, thus far, have begun assembling on the 4500 chassis. It has stronger axels to handle the load of the higher OCCC, and surprisingly a much wider curb to curb turning radius on the same 170 wheelbase, 44' vs 52'. But the big issue is towing as both have the same GCWR of 15250 that the chassis/drivetrain will support. The higher OCCC raises the GVWR to 12125 (rather than 11020 on the 3500) which subtracted from the GCWR results in a tow capacity of 3125lbs.

    • @larrygray1557
      @larrygray1557 6 дней назад +1

      @@BrazenBrits WRONG! That is the hitch rating, which is good as it can handle the tow capacity when the next lower class hitch (3500lb) couldn't. GCWR-GVWR=4220lbs which is the tow rating. Confusing hitch rating with tow rating is quite common, but they are not the same, and it is always the lowest number in the towing system.

    Most companies use the old Mercedes 3500 chassis. Thor Delano starting in 2025 uses the 4500, so the occc goes from 809 to over 2200.

    Our 2017 Navion 24J has every option except auto level because it's 300 lb. Leveling a short rig not a big deal. The OCCC is a big deal and 300 lb is a big takeaway. We are almost at 1,300 lb OCCC.
