The Offspring has lost none of its will or vitality. This is fantastic music. And it's also interesting that this raw energy comes as a plea for healing Society. It's a real Offspring thing.

It's a shame punk doesn't get the same respect as other mediums. Offspring have made huge hits in FOUR different decades now. They are in the same rare air as Metallica, Aerosmith, and Ozzy. That kind of prolific career is one of the greatest of all time.
Good tunes are good tunes. It doesn't matter if it's basic or complex,fast or slow,no guitar solos or a million guitar solos.
They bring generations together
And then you get wierd looks when you tell people that you consider punk and the bauhaus the most influential art movements of the 20th century.

Yes, what a great band, so long waiting for new songs to come out, really spot on that they still have their same sound. Also the lyrics are fenomenal. This SONG is not only music, but serves also a great fucking message. For the World to wake up. This song should at least get +20 million views, the deserve great RESPECT!!!!
It's really a special thing having bands that can grow with their audience - where it's an accompaniment to life - not attempting to recreate the past or reminisce about a 5-10 year period which happened decades ago as though it's more precious & valuable than the here & now.
There's so much art, soul & song to be made outside of the part of life that's angst, violence & romance of youth - & every now & then when I see some steadfast 60s/70s rock fan who listens to the same 10 albums on repeat & insists there's never been any good music since their early 20s while endlessly bemoaning the "youth of today", I just see Peter Pan syndrome.
Man they still got it the whole album is phenomenal and what the did with Gone Away is epic pure talent and totally Offspring.

To me, Punk is always about challenging yourself. Reflect it back, the lyrics, the message, the cry against the status quo. The only thing you truly have control over in this crazy world is yourself. Change yourself and even if the world doesn't follow, it won't matter. Strip away your pride, examine your mind and heart, clean off all the shit, find the diamond in your core, rebuild, stand up, forget yourself and THEN change the world.
If you don't know who you are or what you stand for or what really matters and you go out and screw up an already messed up world, congrats. You just joined the endless chorus of hypocrites.

Когда "дейс го бай" вышел, мне пару песен только зашло, сейчас стабильно песен 5 в плэй-листе на телефоне.
С "Райс энд фолл" та же история. Только "альтруизм" и "Гона го фа, кид" слушал. А спустя пару лет после выхода скачал альбом в формате одной цельной композиции и очень даже неплохо. Конечно композиции с 7 по 10 зашли не так хорошо, но с 1 по 6 и 12 - очень крутые.

Same sound from the early albuns, not the same adrenaline but still full of energy. The energy is there. I'm 38, listening to them since I was a kid, maybe 1995, 1996.. so glad they still playing! Thank you guys, I'll search your album in the stores, hope I'll find one wich still sells cds.. lol jesus, when I first listened to Offspring it was in a K7, cds were new and expensive to me. I'm pretty sure Dex and Noodles will never read this, but after so many years waiting, this album... god, you did It again. Your music walks beside me since I was 9 years old. Americana was the first record I bought, and well, It's been a long ride till here. You can't imagine how much your songs helped me in my teenage years and also now that I'm turning 32 (and guess I'm not the only one here, isn't It?).
You are the reason I play drums, you are the reason I love punk rock. And then... well, "Fix you" is my fiancee fav song ;).
You really changed me and I'm glad your music will never leave me.
Thanks for this 23 years. Thanks for your lyrics when I was really down. Thanks for your riffs when I feel angry or happy. And at the end, thanks for the best moment of my life, when I first listened Americana with my dad (not a great fan of punk rock actually, but he liked that anyway :)).
