At some point you really should watch all of their performances on season 3 of _The Sing-Off,_ in order, to see how much they improved over just 10 weeks. Kevin arrived in time for them to have only one day of rehearsals together before their audition, so they were still feeling their way into developing their group dynamics in the first performances, and before the end the judges were commenting on how Avi and Kevin sounded like they'd been touring together for years.
There's a SuperFruit video of Scott and Mitch watching some of those performances and commenting on how bad their dancing was. They say they learned from this that they can't dance. The truth is that they were still teaching themselves choreography in the earliest performances; by their 11th performance their choreography was master level.
I know others mentioned it, but could you please react to them doing “Problem”? It’s awesome and Mitch raps even more impressively than he does here!

Okay so you need to react to PTX doing Problem and you'll see Mitch really rap. Or there are various Super Fruit vids where scott and mitch rap their butts off. They are both very proficient rappers.
IMO, this is one of the instances where PTX took a song, sprinkled on their spice, and came out with a better version than the original. 😏

I couldn't agree more. Although, I find most of their versions are upgrades. There are very few where I feel the original or another cover can hold a candle to their version.
This Babytonix video remains one of my favorites. Check out the behind the scenes video from this and THEN go with their upgrade of Ariana Grande's Problem. Mitch KILLED it!

This was the first track on the EP PTX Vol. 2. This EP also had Daft Punk (first Grammy) and the emotional original song Run to You.
They were just so good early. You almost forget this is acapella until it's over.

I love this one so much...each setting represents the individual's style! It's only right that Kevin's starts in church, Mitch - the nerd, Kirstie - stylin' sassy, Scott - free spirit, and Avi - gettin' down with it!
Scott was Hip hop/urban, Avi was stylish cool kid, and Kirstie was Gothic diva with Mitch being preppy and Kevin as the straight laced choir boy. 😊✌🏾

If you liked this you will like Sing, if you haven't reacted to it yet. It's a Babytonix too. An original. They texted all sorts of celebrities and asked them to video record themselves, then alerted fans to where they would be to do the recording and wa la the fans joined them in the video. It is great! This was a tribute to the fans! Their PopSpring concert is fantastic live of 3 orig. songs and an evolution of MJ. it's about 15 min long but well worth it. Thanks for doing this this one. Subbed for more PTX!

Proof positive why ptx outshines all other acapella group. They don't just embody diversity in who they are, it's what they DO. they will tackle any genre and crush it with extreme prejudice. They can go from a classical piece to techno that could play in any club, hip hop to pop, rock to jazz, blues to gospel. How many other acapella groups do rap?

One of the main reasons we all watch reaction videos of Pentatonix, is the "oh you just wait' moments.
Because, we all know what is about to happen and it's wonderful.

My favorite rapping from PTX is definitely Mitch in Problem, which I know has already been mentioned. But IMO this performance at a radio station is even more impressive than the official video, since you can see them do it live:

And this is why I think PTX are the greatest, so versatile and multifaceted/talented 😅
Best thing about these is that while it's not new for us, the energy you bring to it makes it feel fun like we're getting to watch it for the first time all over again. It's awesome how the reactor community helps continuously breathe new life into our favorite music, and your perspectives from EDM production are pretty unique to boot!

Further to the other recommendations (Problem - I actually really like their I've version, hey did on a radio show, but maybe you might want to react to both that & the studio version, idk, and Feeling Myself) they also did:
Thrift Shop very early on that has all of them rapping. And Kirstie looking so stinking adorable.
Kevin has a rap while beatboxing in another early one "As Long As You Love Me/Wide Awake". (Stay for all the adorable chatter at the end)
And, In the Popspring 2016 concert, their original "Can't Seep Love" Mitch raps (he doesn't in the studio version and, honestly the rap just massively improves an already cool song).
Butter X Dynamite is great, but just a warning, I've recently seen a few creators having issues getting it posted and it doesn't seem to be the video like it usually is. So idk, you might want to try it anyway (it really is an awesome mashup), but just be prepared it might have copyright issues.
You need to react to Can’t Sleep Love PopSpring performance. Mitch raps in it. It’s not on an album or the office video. Plus PopSpring as a whole is so excellent.

If I remember right, I thought I read that each time they change outfits, it's to fit the personality of the person who is in front. Don't quote me on that, but it makes sense for their styles and personalities at the time of this video.

Another song they did from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis is Thrift Shop - where basically everybody raps, and the Trio perform a rap section together! There's both the official video (make sure to stay tuned to the outro) and there's a version from a fan-cam that they did in an airport while waiting for their flight - they took over the PA system and did it for everyone there, which is pretty amazing! Great reaction! If you like Pentatonix a lot I think that you should give Voiceplay a listen, they were also on The Sing Off but in season 4. They have very interesting arrangements and their bass singer, Geoff Castellucci, is an insane bass who can go super low

That was the most fun reaction! It's a blast seeing you have your first experiences with these treasures! Yes, there is rapping in ButterxDynamite. I think it's Matt and Kevin in that one if I remember correctly. Also, Mitchy raps in "Problem" and in the Popspring 2016 version of their original "Can't Sleep Love." The Superfruit "Feeling Myself" cover is really fun, too.

Okay we've all heard of the Mitch slap, you gave us a new one, the the Mitch rap slap! That was awesome. And I agree with the previous comment, you really need to check out Sing. Upbeat with celebrities and a ton of fans, it's awesome.
Kevin was 22 when he joined Pentatonix and 23 by the end of their season on _The Sing-Off._ He has always been the oldest member of the group. That said, the approximately 4 year age difference between Kevin and Mitch isn't enough to make him actually *look* any older than the trio, and he's only a year and a half older than Avi. And Avi always looks incredibly young in their early videos.
They all look so young in this video. There's a reason we call them Babytonix this early in their careers. They were all astonishingly talented from the beginning, and after their recording contract was dropped they showed a maturity beyond their years in doing what it took to make their dream come true, but that maturity is visible in their actions, not their faces.
You need to do Superfruit’s’Feeling Myself’. Completely rap. Cover of Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé.
