      Wow! As a native Hindi speaker, I've never seen people learning Hindi before. 1 tip I would like to give you if you want to learn conversational Hindi and not pure one is that don't memorize a lot of complicated words which are not basic. We hardly say a full sentence in Hindi. Instead, we replace some Hindi words with English ones. So, you have to be familiar with the sentence order.

      Hey! I want to buy the Hangul Master and the entire collection of Grammar books plus workbooks, and tbh quite a few of the other books too. Do you think it's crazy to buy them all in bulk? It would save me some money in the long run to do that, but I just wonder if I want to buy such a big chunk of my Korean journey right at the beginning. I do think these books are very good, and I do enjoy using books to study a language, furthermore there is a Korean language course at my uni (just starting my Bachelor's now) which I can do for no additional cost and put toward my degree, so I think it would be lovely to supplement with these.
      May I ask, how much time a week (or day) do you spend studying with these books specifically? (Or did at the time when you wrote this comment lol)

      did u find learning hangul easy? i’m rly struggling with it but everyone i know has found it rly easy 😂

    • @essennagerry
      @essennagerry 3 года назад +2

      @@llurh I think people tend to say it's easy only because the spelling is more phonetic and consistent compared to English. I haven't started studying it yet but I can imagine it being challenging for teo reasons: 1. because it's a different system than a regular alphabet - it has these blocks that you have to know how to build and 2. because to write Hangul properly you have to have a good ear for the sounds and phonemes of the Korean language.
      When I got into watching Korean dramas I thought Korean had two different ways to say "I don't know" - one is molla and the other bolla. 😂 In reality it's neither, it's a sound in between. You have to hear these sounds well enough to accurately recognize them, which becomes harder when you listen to natural spoken speach than listening to isolated sounds. I'm not used to aspiration being important, for example, like it is for the different "P" sounds in Korean. Hangul can be challenging because 1. it's different and 2. it goes hand in hand with some knowledge and skill in the Korean sounds, which are again different from our mother tongues. Unless your mother tongue is Cantonese or something lol.
      That is just my take on it. I'm about to buy the Hangul Master book because I'm only now starting to seriously learn Korean, but I've watched some videos on Hangul and the Korean sounds so this is my take on why it may be challenging. I hope this helps. 😊
      And don't worry. Regardless of how easy or how hard it is for you, what matters is your motivation, drive and determination. If you really enjoy Korean then you'll internalize all those difficult parts at some point, whether it's Hangul or some Grammar construction or pronunciation, it will come at some point because when you set your mind to it - you can do it. 🙂 I wish you all the best!

    Perfect video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.

    For anyone that is in my situation, where shipping is expensive or whatever. I was able to buy the real life conversations book off of Amazon, and it came within about 2 or 3 days. It arrived today in perfect shape completely new. So if you want to try and find whatever book you’d ant to purchase on Amazon, it would probably be more convenient for you!

    I've been wanting to learn Korean since I was 12 so I downloaded apps and PDFs and I also have a book I bought here but in the long process, I realized I can learn more through physical books because my eyes are strained from using phone too much. The only problem is money.😩

      @@talktomeinkorean I think I will hold on until the end of COVID-19. The shipping fee is nearly equivalent to those books prices. I prefer wait and using online resources to do revision. Actually I had took the public exam long long time ago but I can't meet level 2. And I met bottleneck when I study a book which called "Active Korea 3", therefore I gave up to learn Korean nearly 10 years. So sad. Recently I roaming your website again and think maybe I can try again. That's my story. Not interesting but real! Just hope to sharing with you.

Since I use your podcast lessions, I decided to not buy the grammar books this time, but instead buy traveling and vocabulary books for when I hope to travel to Korea 😄
