A tribute to Errol Flynn - Hollywood's most vibrant star and our favourite swashbuckler. With that devilish grin, he charmed his way into moviegoers hearts. Few praise Flynn for his acting talent, but I think that he is tremendously underrated, and his performance as Robin Hood in 'The Adventures of Robin Hood,' is one of the greatest performances in cinema history.
His final words on this earth (apparently) were, 'I've had a hell of a lot of fun and I've enjoyed every minute of it.' Well, Errol, we've loved every minute with you. Nobody brought more adventure, excitement, or joy to films than yourself.
The music choice is 'Reach for the Stars' composed by Richard Harvey.

I am an 84 year old man, I was brought up on the films of Erol Flynn, He was a larger than life hero to every kid when I was a schoolboy, and to this day I have never seen anyone who has proved to be his equal, he was as large in life off the screen as he was in films.
I am 86 now. I also grew up with this amazing actor. No one has surpassed him yet.
@@giselamarch1994 I find it very strange that ALL the negative stories came to light when he was dead and could not refute them To tell another story, I worked offshore for 41 years, three of them were in Jugoslavia (as it was known then). In the city of Split there was a floating restaurant moored in the harbour. I ate there a few times and subsequently learned that the boat on which I dined was Errol Flynn`s old boat. I was extremely happy when I learned this, and was dining at the same table as the inimitable Errol. I have dined out a few times on this fact.
@@terrywright7470 You are right. It is easy to vilify people when they are gone. He was not a saint But he was and is not an exception, so so are infinite others. He was great and he gave me many wonderful hours. nd still does.
He was and still is no question about the most handsome and dashing male.

Absolutely adore this man...he gave his audiences excitement & exuberance in his performances. Hollywood underrated him but it hasn’t stopped his legend on screen...60 yrs. this coming Oct. since he left us & it hasn’t stopped his fans from loving & remembering him. So ultimately handsome & charming, he will NEVER be forgotten!
There will never be another Robin Hood!!! Many actors tried to replace him but the one and only is ERROL FLYNN!!!

What a gorgeous man...so dynamic, so charming, such perfection...he will always be remembered for his performances in Captain Blood, Sea Hawk, Robin Hood etc. No one could take his place then & No one will take his place ever. Love you, Errol.
Thank you so much for this tribute. There is no one so full of life, glory, male beauty in one package. I have not seen one actor has surpassed this one of kind individual on and off screen. He is surely underrated. But he will not be forgotten.
One of very best tributes to Errol Flynn, the superstar of the 1930s. Your video captures him very well and you chose the right music thus the video has a very energetic pace, resembling Flynn's vitality at his prime. What a handsome and dashing male, I have never seen any male who has his magnetism and unsurpassable manly good look. RIP, the great but unfortunately underrated star.

Now, I know why olivia de havilland described their first meeting, it was love at first sight for her. Who would not when facing such a dashing figure. I know I would.

Love this video. Probably the best on Flynn that I've seen. A couple of notes: The actual quote at the beginning should be "Maybe all that I am in this world and all that I have been and done comes down to nothing more than being a touch of color in a prosaic world. Even that is something.” It's a quote from his autobiography. And his last words were "I shall return." The quote about having a hell of a good time was from an interview he did with Tony Thomas in 1958.

Dear Claudia your video is electrifying!! A beautiful soundtrack that fits the regal and adventurous style of Flynn. I agree with you. Errol Fynn has been underrated. Despite this, his is one of the most recognizable faces in the history of cinema. After more half a century, his exploits as a hero without time (Robin Hood) are legendary. He enjoyed and will continue to entertain and excite those who love movies.

I've watched and shared this with so many. Attending Turner Classic Movies Film Festival this coming week and Flynn's daughter Rory will be there with a book about her father. This video tribute is really incredibly done Monroe Smile and I just love the music the editing and how, sometimes, you cut in the middle of Flynn's action. Breathtaking job! 3/21/15

His Robin Hood movie was my favorite movie for about 30 years, I think. I see you left out Don Juan and other movies where drink had ruined him. Wouldn't have been as much of a tribute, I suppose. Such a shame that it happened, though. Still love to watch his earlier movies. Thanks for this. Favorite movie line of all time: When accused by Maid Marion of speaking treason, he said, "Fluently!" Love it!

Nice Job! Enjoyed it very much. Flynn is truly a Hollywood legend! Love his movies & interviews. He certainly was THE RASCAL KING. I still say he would have made a wonderful Rhett Butler in Gone With The Wind. Flynn's interpretation to the role would have worked well with Vivian Leigh's Scarlett. Jack Warner however would never have loaned Flynn out to MGM. Just out of spite.
