God Bless Errol - at his suave, charming best in this, his last heavy-duty action vehicle! Good to see him re-united with his regular right-hand man, the excellent Alan Hale. Flynn had charisma and energy like no one else!!

When I was in high school (back in the early 80s) I had several photos of Errol Flynn in my locker. My friends were all into the latest teen idol but not me....give me a man like Flynn any day!

Errol Flynn was the epitomy of screen charisma. He totally personified such fantasy figures as Robin Hood and such fantasy retelling of battles such as the Charge of the Light Brigade. He just became the hero and made one believe in the action. Superb.

I am an 88 year old, and the films of today simply cannot even hold my interest, but these old movies, and in particular the ones which starred Errol Flynn, were simply spectacular........And totally without the used of CGI and all that Gimmicks that are a part of ALL of todays offerings.

Because, modern movies are made by entitled narcissist jealous of real men like this, so they just dedicate to trashing them.
(e.g. Leonard and Zack Big Bang Theory) You are not alone, among us younger generation we got a saying "Creepy Nice Guys" because they glorify these evil men to be great guys, because women pick another guy over him.
      Baby Boomer, worse generation ever.

Ahhh, what would Hollywood be, without all the hunky Australian Leading men... Errol Flynn, Rod Taylor, Peter Finch, Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth, Guy Pearce, Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, and 100s of others, even the greatest 1950s American "Indian" actor, Micheal Pate. I think we have some women actresses over there too somewhere .......

You recognize it because back then composers made LOTS of memorable music. Nowadays everyone copies Hans Zimmer. Even Hans Zimmer copies Hans Zimmer (but granted, some of the classic ones did the same as far as using your own work goes).

Errol's swan song to his Warner's adventure epics. Delightfully tongue-in-cheek. Robert Douglas surpassed all of Flynn's nemeses in face make-up alone (he was nonetheless great in his role as Duke de Lorca). I still wish that his real face could have been exposed at the base of the staircase. Go back to sentence two.
