in terms of resin efficiency, shimenawa domain is the only artifacts domain you should be farming if you're a casual f2p and doesn't max refill resin daily.
I am not F2P but I don’t refill resin I still do Crimson witch cuz without her ult I just can’t simply stay alive XD
@@moorrum6686 That's why you need to always keep her paired with Xingqiu because those rain swords not only give her protection but they also heal her so you don't have to rely on the burst.
@@259 she is paired with Xingqiu but you know, abyss Wolfs but rn I don’t have issues with her survivability since I have YanFei C6 with proto Amber and a shield build.

2 months farming and only 6%/21% crit rate/damage feather and a 22% crit damage flower with doodoo substats.
I got a lot better artifacts of the lavawalker, like a lot, but the crimson is not giving me good ones....
I’m just gonna build her with shimenawa for now, i’ll go with crimson if i have the artifacts

It all comes down to farming
if youre cost efficient for your entire roster. Shimenawa is much better to farm for and not at all horrible for Hu Tao use.
if youre at the end game as in most of your roster and well built and have excess resin to maximize your Hu Tao, go farm for CW.
Every sub dps can equip Fate set
Lava Walker is just a waste of space.
They need to implement the ability to choose which set to get rewarded with I hate the CW domain cause of lavawalker.
LW is only beneficial for showcases and circumstantial Abyss floors which I doubt would exist until later period.

You can exchange lavawalker for another set like noblesse so it's not a complete waste
Lol, I'm day 1 player, used to farm a lot of crimson for Diluc. Now I have Hutao, I'll farm Shimenawa instead since it's resin effecient (emblem is really good investment after all). My Diluc artifact lack crit rate too.
Keep in mind, crimson domain drop is mostly trash and hard to get the best one, while shimenawa is easier

"mostly trash" is crazy all domain have same rng yall just unlucky that time i only took 5 weeks to farm 3 sets of crimson for diluc,yanfei,hutao but took me 3 months farming emblem for my support but my raiden is still not well built. its not abt "resin efficient" the artifacts is all abt "luck"

For those who don’t know what to choose for her, let me give you some info, shimenewa set, i feel is more towards skill damage rather than burst damage. But as for crimson set it’s more on doing damage with your burst most of the time, but with shimenewa every e skill you do will, decrease you’re burst, which I wouldn’t worry on too much since shimenewa is skill focused
Yes, i agree. and to clarify it more:
-Shimenawa is good specially with Shield, and doesnt rely too much on reactions to do much damage, but robs you of self healing/nuke dmg reliability so shield saves those flaws.
-Crimson Witch is overall good. specially on reaction comp, and making Hu Tao able to heal herself on emergency situations or nuke dmg.
I like doing Hu Tao dashes then her Ult so Shimenawa a fun to build if you have c1 HT
I built my hu tao both sets with equal EM and crit ratios....
crimson hits harder overall, noticeably. Also hitting the ult is juicy.
Shimenawa auto attacks are higher tho but that's kinda meaningless
The EM makes a big difference, you know. You won't believe how much my damage went up when I sacrificed 8 cdmg for 40 EM.

unfortunately I reroll the feather with a lot of em and hp in substats into the feather with crit dmg, and now my Hu Tao does much less damage...

I actually got 400 em with dragon bane em sand(I don’t have hp sand) and some sub stat is it too much or is it still convenient?

Great video, thanks for posting. I still have several characters I need to build so farming Shimenawa for Hu Tao is going to be better for me. I have a decent crit rate/damage (50/200) for Hu Tao now but my artifacts are all random and don't match so i'm going to try and get a good shimenawa set for her.
The extra 35 EM is making crimson vaporize do more damage. (More 6.8% Vape DMG)
Keqing Mains did calculations verifying that Shimenawa does more damage even with burst included
With 4CW as the baseline (100% damage potential) and it loses to 4SR with 103% damage potential.
With the same exact stats, shimenawa does slightly more vape damage so just use the best set you have
Crimson is still better with reactions 30 more em can't make burst do 170k from 120k with shimenawa you will do slightly more damage with charged attacks but that -15 energy and low burst damage makes it inferior to cw
@@luka-wu2fk well, I did math around that and the damage you win from 7 CA's on Shimenawas is overall slightly superior to the damage you win from the Burst on CW, it's up to you to decide if the 15 energy really makes a difference

I’ll pick Shimenawa because it’s resin-efficient thanks to it being in the same domain as Severed Fate. Also because crimson domain is notorious for making players experience hell :’)

I currently have her at 83 crit, 222 crit damage shimenawa set, and kind of feel of losing too much on the burst damage side, but it's such a pain in the ass to farm crimson.
Can u give us another video comparing 4 crimson set with 2 wanderer and 2 crimson set, because 80m should be able to compensate the 4th crimson set effect, or so i think. Nice comparison, with nice chart on the end, thumbs up.
i have both build in SR i have 48/ 252 crit ratio. in CW i have 58/202 crit ratio I enjoy both but i leaning towards more on SR cause the 50% more charge attack is crazy multiplier, I dont have any issue with energy since i got Thoma with Hu tao I still manage to use my burst with SR before my E runs out. Plus the SR domain is more valuable to farm for artifacts.
Thanks for this comparison, I've been benching Hu Tao for so long since I don't get her Crimsom now that is on strongbox I'm starting to use her again but somehow got a better Shim set than Crimsom atm so I will land those on her for now while I get her better Crimsom artifacts through strongboxes. 😁
Been using her on a Shimenawa set and it's been decent enough. Once I'm done with the emblem Domain, I'm for sure going for Crimson Witch.
Thank you! After the strongbox update I decided to farm emblem/shimenawa domain, dump all the bad artifacts for crimson and use whichever set gets better stats

Yeah 10 days i spend all resin just for Crimson and what i got is just plum with cdm 20%, HP 10% & circlet main CTR & cdm 32.6%. for f2p i recommended you to build shimenawa cause emblem can be used by all support, but lavawalker, i didn't find any character that can maximize lava Walker potensial

i’m entirely f2p and i’ve built hutao on crimson. the domain is REALLLY bad but it’s worth it when u get the right artfs so it’s up to you, as for me hutao is my hypercarry so i can just give her all my resources. literally makes the game look like cakewalk, she makes 100k per charged now. if ur worried about the lavawalker, u can always use them as fodders or if not exchange them in the crafting table, i got good noblesse sets from them.

I Achieved Shimanewa on Hu Tao and i just feel like im missing more damage on her like i wanna get Crimson For her but that domain is just so cursed but maybe next time ill get crimson for her because farming shimanewa in my situation rn is needed because i also need emblem of severed fates on my different characters.
Should also not forget that many do not have hu tao C1, so they will be doing normal attacks quite a bit. Shim levels the playing field easily this way, and often pulls ahead. Its also really easy to farm since, we should always be farming that domain.

I farmed the shimenawa set cause it was a lot easier. Though I wish I had more damage so I’m gonna try to the crimson.

i think stat different is a bit unfair, that's true 2010 vs 1983 isn't really different, but i think shimenawa atk should be a bit higher to make it fair comparison because shimenawa give you 18% more atk. also the shimenawa set have 0 EM

Hi! I love your video and thank you so much for the comparison dmg to 2 sets I'm just wondering if which is better. HuTao c2 or Yelan c1? I'm almost at hard pity guaranteed and I love both of them. HUHUHUH HuTao carried me all the way since her first rerun up until this day even if pyro is not the current meta because of dendro. Im sooo torn between the two of them.

crimson is better imo. but shimenawa is much faster to farm. I wastes over 20 fragile resin on crimson and didnt get a single good one. shimenawa is better for me but really try farming for crimson
35 em change things a lot it gives about 7% increase in vapourise now deduct 7% from 69k you will get about 65k , both artifact give about equal demage in vapourise reaction
Edit : if we are going with high maths i will also consider the extra 3% high crit demage in crimson. , All this gives about 10% extra demage .
But at the end both give almost same demage

At this test CWOF got 6.8% increase vap/melt dmg from EM when SW have 0% and the dmg different of "charge atk" is 4k (65k for SR and 69k for CWOF) if u do the math and add that same EM to SR and increase that 6.8% to the "charge atk" dmg then even if i didn't tell u... U can guess the dmg right? And u say CWOF have +15% vap/melt... Ofc we all know and it's already at that 69k dmg

For those who says that sr 7ca + burst does more than cw 7ca+ burst Keep in mind that after using burst sr can't boost n or ca damage you have to *completely* ignore burst with sr (if you are not using mono pyro) thats the reason why sr is inferior to cw but it can be good depending on the situation
u can easily HAVE ult if u run kazuha i have c2 kazuha so its not a hard thing i always ult after using E
I just got ar 45 and thought of starting to farm artifacts for Hu Tao, and I have xinqiu, so should I go for crimson or shimenawa(C0 hu tao)

Are there any alternatives that include not having xingqiu. Cause in terms of xingqiu, I have no xingqiu. Is kaeya ok to replace xingqiu for the meantime?

There's a hard choice u have to made while choosing your set , if u choose shiminawa then yes you are getting a lot more dmg ( like I get 100k per charge, video uploaded as proof) but at the cost of your burst ,,if you think you can use your burst as often with this, then yes it's possible but you have to give hutao a good amount of energy recharge ( around 150) but if you are f2p then u know that managing crit ratio is already a hectic task ,, so for most of the case forget your burst ,, I only used it sometimes when it's ready or mostly for healing 😂 ,, but it's okay I am getting a lot more in my charge attack
What will you choose:
Around 80-100k per Charge or 100-300k burst ,, at the end it's your decision 👍
True, i choose around 80-100k / charged but my bloodblossom and my ghost will more dmg than shime 100-130k/ charged

I'm glad I looked up the damage comparison first before deciding to switch sets. See, I was planning to replace Hu Tao's current CW set for the SR because it's not really great stat-wise. Her crit dmg only reach 135, and does 20-30k damage or something within that range. Even Nahida with full EM can do more damage than her, so it kinda bugs me. But, from the looks of it, I don't need to change the artefact set- just the pieces themselves.
Edit: Not long after I made this comment, I got a good Crit Dmg Circlet, so she now has 47/198 crit stats. Not the best, but I think it'll take a miracle to replace the ones I had on her right now.

@@mr.commonsense6645 It's from the artefact box, actually! I don't use 5-star artefacts as exp fodder since it's not mora efficient as I thought, so I got plenty of those around. It's still RNG based, but I was nonetheless able to get good artefacts there.

Ur hutao stats are nutss
heres a quick summary of what to pick
Shimenawa set: Use for constant damage, what i mean is to prioritize your elemental skill, put some sub stat elemental mastery and its good
Crimson witch set: Use for Reactions and burst damage, good for nukes and recommend prioritizing both skill and burst
I almost got a heart attack when I saw that 72/275 ratio coz holy shit, u gotta be the luckiest player to have that insane Ratio and it turns out, you're using a crit rate food. My Ratio for Hutao is 61/276 with 112 em and 127 er (4pc Shimenawa and Homa) without any buffs

you wanna know why crimson has higher reaction damage? you have EM substats on crimson while on shimenawa you don't.
Because I got Hu Tao back to back in my first 10 pulls today, I decide to build her. C1 lets go.

oh man if only there were more daily resin. as much as crimson witch is the best for min maxing and reactions, it simply requires too much time and resin which quickly diminishes its value, especially for f2ps.

I'm late but I've come to a conclusion. After months of farming, I was able to get both sets with good stats. SR is close to CW in terms of CA, but when it comes to burst, CW is better. The one thing makes SR better is that its domain is resin efficient. If you're a newer Hu Tao main, I suggest you farm for SR instead.
Now Crimson is coming to the strongbox as well. So you just farm Shime from domain and Crimson from strongbox if you need to
At first, momili-dyed domain is way better cus we can get emblem artifacts (almost every support can be used with it).
At second, we don't get 22.5 % pyro dmg bonus, instead we get 2.096 / 1.796 = 16.7% buff of pyro dmg. and only then we have 15% buff from reactions, and we have 1.1674 * 1.15 = 34%
buff from crimson witch.
So let's start with easy math. You can hit only 9 CA using E (not counting C1), so we have 242.6 + 83.6 = 326.2%dmg on CA (83.6 is damage of 1st NA) and we have 9 of them. So with all 9 CA we will get 326.2 * 9 = 2 935.8%dmg. That’s raw damage we can get.
At first let’s count buffs from shimenawa set. That’s easy, so we get 2 935.8 * 1.5 = 4 403.7%
Now let’s count buffs from crimson witch set and now the fun begins. As I said earlier we will get only 34% buff from full set, then we have 2 935.8 * 1.34 = 3 933.9%dmg. BUT we can ult at the end of E duration. I tried to do this in genshin and I just can’t hit 9 CA and ult after that, all I can get is 8 CA and ult. Even if it’s doable then you won’t do it everytime you use your E. Let’s count. 326.2 * 8 + 617 = 3 226.6% dmg. Then we have our 34% bonus - 3 226.6 * 1.34 = 4 323.6%dmg.
I think 4 403.7 > 4 323.6, so shimenawa is better. (I didn’t even count 2-piece set bonus which is +18%atk).

The damage of normal and charged atq is very similar, The Burst os big diferrence but i Go to shimenawa is resin efficient and damage is Very good

charge atk always do more dmg with CM idk how crimson went higher there which is incorrect mathematically maybe cuz u had 0 em on shimenawa before sucrosse buff cuz im pretty sure shimenawa does more dmg in raw and reaction for CA
It really depends on the team though
Her main dmg output is through skill and NA
Burst has much potential for dmg, but it is also important for heals
Shimenawa can be a better option if you have a good shielder , but if you don't crimson can be better as it not only gives 65% pyro dmg bonus most of the time but also non-delayed bursts
If you're playing a burning/overload dmg focused build, then go Crimson
So in conclusion
Shim> Crimson (if shielder and survivability is ensured)
Crimson> Shin (If survivability isn't ensured )

idc if shimenawa edges over cw or if it’d not resin efficient to farm CW, i like nukes and u can’t nuke with shimenawa so the CW is my choice
