I love the 700 magna❤️👍. The V4 runs so smooth, and over 8000 rpm, a massiv tourge 💥

I agree it's a great starter bike. Up to 7500 rpm it's pretty chill, but still enough power to have fun.. over that it gets satisfyingly rowdy. It won't kill you but you could ride it for a few seasons and not get bored. It's also well mannered and fairly comfortable on the highway. Maintains high speed without effort, has overdrive. The V4 configuration is smooth.
If you went with a rebel 250 or something you'd be ready to move on in a couple months.

I found a 1982 for $1000 but I'm in Hawaii and it's near my elderly mom's house.... wonder if it's worth the effort to buy and have it shipped to Hawaii.

@@need100kgive me the keys and I will ride it thru the ocean for you good sir. The raging passion burning in my soul will not allow simple physics to prohibit me from allowing the legendary magna to prosper and spread its glory for you and your grandma

@@420f37 - My mom, and I had it shipped here already. Unfortunately my mom passed away recently so I've been too busy dealing with her estate to work on the bike.

In europe we have those -84-86 Magnas in 750cc. It really seems like a great bike, gonna go check (and maybe buy) one in the coming week. Nice video btw!

In Canada, all the V45’s were 750’s.

I bought a new one off the showroom floor when they first came out. It’s not a “V45” …. it’d have to be 750cc for that.

When the v45 was 1st introduced in 82 I believe it was a 750cc the 700 was made after harley lobbyists convinced the epa to put a new standard on emissions for foreign bikes.

The "750's" were actually 748cc due to import taxes (something like that).

Hey man I have the same bike in red! Also my first motorcycle lol.
I’ve had and still have a bunch of dirt bikes before but the ol magna is first for the street. I can confirm that the bike will do about 120mph lol

Had one for 15k miles as a beginner bike. Keep it over 6.5k for tune times, I hit 115 and it was still creeping doubt it could go 125+. My Fz1 still has 5k left before redline at 165mph pulling hard

Correct 700 cc...tariff bike. However the 700's, make an additional 3hp over the earlier 750's which were the 82 and 83.
