I swear it seemed like she was singing this for him, or maybe it was for me. The universe is such a mad, chaotic, and beautiful thing, just like Ms. Lady. If you ever get to read this Ma'am, I'd like you to know, that even though through all of the pain you and I have suffered in our lifetimes, it is what makes for great art and it's not random meaninglessness. it doesn't matter what song is covered from the oldies, if the artist pays a tribute and leaves the song in it's value like this then all the old songs still sound timeless and sound wonderful unlike all the dance songs today.

I listen to dance/trance/techno myself a lot it's just that for me it's songs to chill and party to and not songs that will be timeless, not lyrical and not beat/melody wise.

For some reason I find the music nowadays not 'unique' anymore (in the dance scene I mean) of course music, electronics, people and generations evolve I kinda stick with the oldies, a big influence for loving these older songs are my parents and my grandparents, in the 90's we used to have a jukebox in our house and we played music everyday. Of course if I want to party hardy on a festival I love dance/trance/techno or if I want to chill then it's R&B. I love music in every genre, I also love film music, it really depends on the mood I'm in lol

I listen to dance/trance/techno myself a lot it's just that for me it's songs to chill and party to and not songs that will be timeless, not lyrical and not beat/melody wise.

Cahan McLaughlin you can see it that way too indeed, that's so lovely about music, it's different for everyone else, it's personal :) next to the melody I listen to the lyrics often and read it which (for me) gives a song extra power. For some reason I find the music nowadays not 'unique' anymore (in the dance scene I mean) of course music, electronics, people and generations evolve I kinda stick with the oldies, a big influence for loving these older songs are my parents and my grandparents, in the 90's we used to have a jukebox in our house and we played music everyday. Of course if I want to party hardy on a festival I love dance/trance/techno or if I want to chill then it's R&B. I love music in every genre, I also love film music, it really depends on the mood I'm in lol

In the seventies I was a pre-teen and absolutely LOVED Elton John and all of his music. I am in my fifties now and of course am still a big fan of his. When I saw that Lady Gaga made her own version of Your Song, I was reluctant to listen. But obviously I did and was happily amazed as she did a wonderful job, her voice was gorgeous and she absolutely respected Bernie and Elton's music in a brilliant re-make.
