The ladies play a seamless and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy rock/power ballads which makes their sound very unique. Now you need to show her some of their live performances. 😁They do have some thrashier songs as well. I own all but one of their live DVDs. I also love Nemophila, Band-Maid, Hanabie, Gacharic Spin, and many more. SO many good bands.
She was blown away just the way I was. This is the song that introduced me to Lovebites and, like you, I immediately noticed the phenomenal level of talent across the board with Lovebites - every member. They are the best band in their genre, bar none. I hope you show her more, like maybe some of their new live videos with their new bass player. Hanabie isn't really that much heavier than Lovebites when you consider Hanabie has a distinct pop sound to their music. Lovebites is pure heavy metal through and through - no pop, just heavy riffs, double kick drums, powerful vocals, and blistering guitar solos. If you like harsh vocals then I can see why. But for me, I can't stand harsh vocals if used frequently in a song. A little bit is OK, but too much and it grates on your ears.

It's like Lord of the Rings when Éowyn takes off her helm, says, "I am no man" and slays the Witch King. The "We kick ass" vibe is great to see as the smiles spread across their face. When it comes to all female J-metal/rock, you have the "big three" with Band-Maid, Lovebites, and Nemophila. The last one changes out from fan to fan because Nemophila didn't start til 2019 but has three members that were big names in the scene long before the band. There are lots of bands also making the push internationally like Hanabie, who is currently touring the US after wrapping up a sold-out EU tour.
He is obviously totally enthusiastic regarding her hair color! That's nice :) Lovebites is totally amazing. They have made some touring 2023 and have very good videos from those concerts. A hint, show her them guy! And look at them yourself. They are good.
I am coming to you from Japan. It sounds like you are singing completely in English to the Japanese senses, whose English ability is low on average, but it seems to be difficult for people overseas to hear you! Other bands often interweave Japanese lyrics in order to preserve a Japanese flavor, but LOVEBITES is unique in that all lyrics are basically in English.

Pigeon holing a band in a particular genre and classifying it as J-rock to my mind is a lack of understanding of what they hear. Yes, Lovebites have taken an earlier genre from the New Wave of British heavy metal ( NWoBHM) and put their own spin on it. However, this upsurge in metal from Japan is not a new concept. The same thing happened in the UK at the start of 80's with bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, etc. Lovebites are the epitome of that era. Vocally screaming style metal is not my thing, but I make exceptions for two Ukrainian bands, Jinjer and Ignea! Lovebites are in my mind the Holy Grail of speed/power metal. No other band comes close at the moment! If you are looking for anime, try " Winds of Transylvania " MV as it is used for the anime vampire series " Vlad blood". Great reaction 🤟😎
Welcome to the world of Female J Metal. I hope you check out Aldious, they are original founders of the modern all Female Japanese metal bands. And in Japan are the second most popular Female metal band after Show Ya which came out in the 1980s. Aldious started in 2008 and had a few excellent singers. They have absolutely no bad songs. I recommend checking out Suicide live for a very bass guitar heavy metal song.

The lovely Miho Rosana, the former bass guitarist who was in the band at this time, often does have two colors in her hair, one for the top layers and one for the underneath. I can't speak for her color(s) in this video, but on her Instagram she'll often post clear shots of both colors. It's always professionally done.
Japanese is fun, so please indulge me in this long-winded comment regarding the band HANABIE. Their name is actually written as 花冷え, and pronounced as はなびえ. Because most people outside of Japan cannot read Japanese, scholars long ago created a system for using Roman characters to write Japanese words. In this system, each vowels represent exactly one sound, and there are no silent vowels. (If you ever studied Spanish, the vowel sounds are almost the same.) Thus, はなびえis written with Roman characters as HANABIE. If you have the decoder ring, you understand that “HANABIE” represents はなびえ, which is pronounced as “Ha-Na-Bi-Eh” (“a” as in “mama”, “i” as in “pizza”, and “e” as in “pet”).
About the culture of female JRock bands. Saw a short documentary of a female fronted metal band that broke million record sales. Mid to late 80s. She started an all female rock festival in Osaka to get more women into the genre. Think it went on for several years before stopping. This entire generation was influenced by it. Can't remember any names.
Now that's how you make a metal song in the age of IG and Twitter, where being a mediocre or untalented other unskilled doesn't matter as long as you are viral.

I recommend the Hammer of Wrath Live!! Which was taken from Knockin on Heavens Gate!! This is just a small sample of this incredible band. I would expect nothing less of coarse. From a band born of former Destrose members. Captain Mina and her crew of shipwrecked misfits. Have given us so many great bands over the years. Lovebites is certainly among the best to come off their tail. Along with Nemophila more recently which is also great. Destrose has long since disbanded now but Mina's legacy along with her current band Fate Gear is still going strong. Great reaction here is all I'm saying! 🤘🔥🎸

It sounds like you are singing completely in English to the Japanese senses, whose English ability is low on average, but it seems to be difficult for people overseas to hear you!
Other bands often interweave Japanese lyrics in order to preserve a Japanese flavor, but LOVEBITES is unique in that all lyrics are basically in English.

Midori and Miyako are one of the best lead guitar duo’s in Metal music today.
Pigeon holing a band in a particular genre and classifying it as J-rock to my mind is a lack of understanding of what they hear. Yes, Lovebites have taken an earlier genre from the New Wave of British heavy metal ( NWoBHM) and put their own spin on it. However, this upsurge in metal from Japan is not a new concept. The same thing happened in the UK at the start of 80's with bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, etc. Lovebites are the epitome of that era. Vocally screaming style metal is not my thing, but I make exceptions for two Ukrainian bands, Jinjer and Ignea! Lovebites are in my mind the Holy Grail of speed/power metal. No other band comes close at the moment! If you are looking for anime, try " Winds of Transylvania " MV as it is used for the anime vampire series " Vlad blood". Great reaction 🤟😎

I hope you check out Aldious, they are original founders of the modern all Female Japanese metal bands.
And in Japan are the second most popular Female metal band after Show Ya which came out in the 1980s.
Aldious started in 2008 and had a few excellent singers.
They have absolutely no bad songs.
I recommend checking out Suicide live for a very bass guitar heavy metal song.

The lovely Miho Rosana, the former bass guitarist who was in the band at this time, often does have two colors in her hair, one for the top layers and one for the underneath. I can't speak for her color(s) in this video, but on her Instagram she'll often post clear shots of both colors. It's always professionally done.

Japanese is fun, so please indulge me in this long-winded comment regarding the band HANABIE. Their name is actually written as 花冷え, and pronounced as はなびえ. Because most people outside of Japan cannot read Japanese, scholars long ago created a system for using Roman characters to write Japanese words. In this system, each vowels represent exactly one sound, and there are no silent vowels. (If you ever studied Spanish, the vowel sounds are almost the same.) Thus, はなびえis written with Roman characters as HANABIE. If you have the decoder ring, you understand that “HANABIE” represents はなびえ, which is pronounced as
“Ha-Na-Bi-Eh” (“a” as in “mama”, “i” as in “pizza”, and “e” as in “pet”).
About the culture of female JRock bands. Saw a short documentary of a female fronted metal band that broke million record sales. Mid to late 80s. She started an all female rock festival in Osaka to get more women into the genre. Think it went on for several years before stopping. This entire generation was influenced by it. Can't remember any names.
Now that's how you make a metal song in the age of IG and Twitter, where being a mediocre or untalented other unskilled doesn't matter as long as you are viral.
If you're doing more, try the live. Less synth and they're still as good technically. And the singer has the audience in her hands.

There’s more to Japanese culture than Anime. Japan was exporting J-Pop existed long, long before K-Pop was a thing outside of Korea.
A nicer group of human beings you couldn’t wish to meet. They treat their fans with respect and are genuinely grateful for their support. When the bassist seen here left, the four remaining members during a forced period of inactivity, sent a signed card to every member of the Japanese fan club. The message? Thank you for supporting us. Class. Absolute class.

From a band born of former Destrose members. Captain Mina and her crew of shipwrecked misfits. Have given us so many great bands over the years.
Lovebites is certainly among the best to come off their tail. Along with Nemophila more recently which is also great.
Destrose has long since disbanded now but Mina's legacy along with her current band Fate Gear is still going strong. Great reaction here is all I'm saying! 🤘🔥🎸

This band LIVE is even better (IMHO) and you really experience that insane talent totally. They are on the move coming to the US 9/8/2024 to ProgPower and likely have other venues planned. I am sure they will make the European Summer festival circuit (Wacken, Bloodstock, etc.) next year also so you should have a shot a a LIVE venue performance.

In generaI, l like the dual guitar solo interplay sections of the live videos impressive. Some of the live videos have subtitles. She also might like the drum solo on the live "Freedom" by Band-Maid.
