@@kristopherwilson506 as a ref, I’m glad I didn’t have to make a call like that especially at this level where a finals match is on the line. I can see the logic though with the boot in and that’s why I’m saying maybe it’s a takedown but hardly would call that position definitive “control”. I would think they probably should have called it out of bounds and let the match continue. Really sucks for Melvin, especially when he had that TD on the edge in the 3rd that wasn’t called.
Melvin got screwed with out a doubt those referees deserve the worst. Literally how did they call Melvin’s takedown out of bounce in the 3rd when he had control, behind Denny and his leg was in the circle. However Dennys takedown in OT had literally no control and they were completely out of the circle. These referees make forest gump look like a genius.
If you watch they both went completely out for Melvin's "takedown, and he put his foot back in to make it look that way, but for Denny he had his leg in with his hand still in, so that counts as control and one point of contact big man
They called Melvin’s takedown a fail in the third, but gave the takedown to Denny with the same scenario. Doesn’t make sense. If anything, that means Melvin’s takedown attempt was a takedown because he at least had control unlike Miller. Make it make sense.
Forget the takedown, bring back this commentator. We need more of him
I watched it multiple times in Slo Mo. There WAS No control for the overtime takedown,, they were out of bounds
Thanks Flo Wrestling!
That's a tough call that could have gone either way. I guess they awarded control because he threw the boot in?
Seems like it, but that’s the wrong call. A boot in by itself is not a takedown.

Neither wrestler was in bounds during the OT “takedown”. TRASH CALL

That wasn't a close call, it was a bad call. There was never any control, in or out of bounds
There’s no doubt that was not a takedown. Reaction time is a thing. Plus both wrestlers were out of bounds before Denny was fully around.
Do you only have to keep one limb/a hand in nowadays?? JUST WONDERING
yes rules were changed so as long as any body part is in the circle it is in bounds

Not true, read my reply to top comment, and rewatch again
Nonsense upon stilts. Nothing close about it. Miller got screwed.
TRASH CALL
🙄No control. No TD. Simple.
