Thank you for pointing out when spoilers where about to be spilled because I then was able to pause it, look at your time stamp list and jump to the next bit! I think I may go out to get a copy of this game tomorrow to play with my friend in Arizona (I am in Wisconsin). I think I will just need to send her a board and one set of the polynomial tiles, right?
Thank you! I don't think it would work unless she has her own copy - you constantly update the board with stickers and alterations, get new tiles, etc, and some depends on who wins and loses so it would be near impossible to predict what she would need to play properly, and you'd have to spoil everything to figure it out.

One of us draws the cards and holds them up to the webcamera ... and at the end (as you kindly pointed out) we both have the secret envelopes with the stickers etc so we can keep in sync. Thank you again!
Haha exactly - it’s just so addictive! I felt sad it was going so quick whilst simultaneously absolutely buzzing to crack on with the next game! I think we will play through it again with our spare boards 👌🏻
My brother and sister in law and I played this over 8 weeks.. one of the best gaming experience I've ever had!! P.s. kanban was amazing Friday. Thanks so much for helping me learn it

And nope, 2nd.. 190 to 142 to 128 to 81 .. one friend *got it* so early and the guy who got 81 kept setting him up for everything! We were cracking up. But it was a blast! The timing on everything has a unique flow. Felt more like the gallerist than lisboa or on mars
Glad to hear (and see) the recommendation for My City. Although I did skip the spoilers. I have a copy and I'm just waiting for enough vaccine distribution to play it!! Have you tried Cartographers? It's a non-legacy game that plays extremely fast but uses the same idea that everyone draws from the same card. Well, except for the monsters.
Hope you get to play soon! If other people you know have a copy too, it would actually be quite easy to play over zoom or skype. We haven't yet, but thanks for the recommendation. It was also recommended by a close friend! We've actually in the last few days played our first flip/roll and writes, so this might have to be next on the list...
Really interesting review! A lot of the things you highlighted as negatives for you were what made me & my partner love this game; round about chapter 5 onwards where you have these competing objectives opens up this whole lovely decision space- should I be working towards the 'mini-games', or focusing on the main scoring? It adds a nice level of more complex thinking to the otherwise very straightforward tile-laying! Same with the episode where the playing area is reduced; now you *really* have to think about where each tile is going to go, and what tiles are left in the deck, and quite how much tactical passing you can get away with. Great game- thanks for the review.

I think the thing for us was that we really enjoyed the different mechanics and ways to score that were revealed each chapter but it’s just that the game seemed to punish you a bit for going down the new scoring routes as whoever just stuck to the core scoring always seemed to come out on top - rather than any dislike of the actual ways to score, if that makes sense! But maybe it was just coincidence in our campaign. Thanks for watching - happy you also enjoyed playing My City as it’s brilliant!

@@LenLindsay The best part if you both have your own copy, you can play through again since you've only used the components for 1 player!
It is such a great game. We also played it within about a week because we just couldn't stop!!

Just finished chapter 8 I beat the Mrs 50 - 49. It was very close. What a great game.
