Dark travel is my favorite. The theme varies so much which makes it feel like more of an adventure. It's nothing compared to never-ending travel which is black screen most of the time. Also the song to dark travel is the best imo also.
Sorry, but i think you didn't even look at Dark Travel, it's VERY original (gameplay and decoration), the gameplay is not the best, but the sync is almost perfect (so why 2/5???) and the ideas are very good, too, originality is at least 4/5, gameplay/sync 5/5 i think, and deco is 5/5, so where's the problem? And for comparison only, why is Dem Travel more original? The gameplay is not original at all, and the decorations are very good, but not soooo original, so that doesn't make sense. Now Neverending Travel... i can't understand again, the gameplay is not more than 3/5, i think it's a 2/5, the originality is a 4/5 the gameplay is not so special, but the ideas with the thunders and the books and all that are very orignial, and there i can also say: Why is Deco only 3/5? The Deco is VERY well made, it's at least a 4.5/5 i would say. Lonely Travel... ok, yeah, it's the most original on... wait, 3/5? WHY? It's the first travel level, uses decorations, gameplay and effects, that were never used before, and you say it's a 3/5? Sorry, that's just dumb.... Melodic Travel, yeah, your point distribution still doesn't make sense, the gameplay and sync is 4/5, that's ok for me, but originality is a 2/5.... doesn't make sense, has very original ideas and decorations, gameplay is original in some parts, too. Deco is very well made, so a 4/5 is good for me, too. conclusion: Im ok with first place, but you should really reorder 2-5, because Dark Travel is much better than lonely Travel, I think Dem Travel should be on 5, Dark Travel at least on 3, and Neverending Travel could be on 2 or 3. And please stop saying that these levels are unoriginal, every of them is at least 3/5, the point distribution on originality doesn't make sense at all.

Also, the plasma effect, while relatively simple, looks super good; that's why it also found its way into Sonic Wave Rebirth.

I think lonley travel is by far the most unique! It has that really cool black and white theme. Also to me it feels like you're going on more of a journey there. In the other travel levels most parts have nothing connecting them.
I think it's extremely stupid how you put dark travel 2/5 for sync and 3/5 for design/deco dude the fucking design is the best out of any level to date and it sure comes away from the shitty generic styles we see these days. gameplay is actually pretty good for a lot of areas but that's your opinion so I won't judge that. I feel like you weren't really paying attention to detail in dark travel. it's by far the most effort put into a level in the game and if you compare it with melodic travel you'd think the two levels are made by the exact same creator. JonathanGD is one of the few extremely unique creators and is by far one of if not the best art creator in the game. If you compare Dark Travel to Dem Travel you can see how much better Dark Travel is. Dem travel was made in mid-late 2.0 where there was lots of things to choose from, Dark Travel began development extremely early in 2.1 and took Jonathan over 2 months to create it. Just saying if you're judging it so harshly when the majority of the games community agrees that it's the best level in the game, you should at least come up with a few good arguments as to why the level is 'bad' instead of just saying "the design is okay". Back to when you gave it 2/5 for sync and gameplay, sync should be a solid 5/5 and gameplay around 3/5, the effort spent gathering information about the level was obviously not very big because almost every single jump syncs with the song, an extremely hard song to do so and the gameplay is actually very fun past the mid-point of the level. Hopefully next time you make a list you can research the levels a bit more before giving your opinion. Written on mobile so hopefully you can see how dedicated I am in writing things xD
