Burnout competition is affecting air quality though... You guys have the worst in the world at the moment.. not just cause the fires alone... This is one link from 2000 alot of research has been done... Do the research www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2000/03/000314065455.htm
@@rocsti5402 No mate. It is irrelevant. And the worst air quality in the world is not in Australia. That is a silly assertion. Summer in Australia is hot and dry. That's normal. Bush fires are normal. They are part of the natural cycle of the bush. What is abnormal are all the on-going efforts by misguided city based bureaucrat people working for the government to prevent them from occurring at all, hence allowing the amount of ground litter to accumulate well beyond what it naturally would. Instead of regular small fires consuming the ground litter (which is like solidified petrol) the ground litter builds up until one day the really big fires start. These fires clear the litter all in one go and they are of immense intensity. They are so intense that aerial fire bombers are utterly and completely useless against them. 1 MegaWatt per square metre of bush is the upper limit of a fire which can be fought by humans. The fires in Australia are at minimum an order of magnitude (10x) higher than that. Fires of this intensity are analogous to volcanic eruptions. Just as fire fighters can't fight a volcanic eruption, they are similarly helpless against fires this energetic. Nature has its way. The solution is to do what the Australian Aborigines did for tens of thousands of years. They already worked it all out. You need to clear the ground litter and you do that by allowing nature to have its way. That means lots of regular small burn-offs. Each area needs a fire at least once every three years. The Aborigines used to do it and they used to let the bush burn naturally when nature set it off, but now the government prohibits this. Interesting how the big fires came out of the Federal parklands and reserves....
@@geraldryan7544 its alright your obviously hopeless as individuals and a country.... I wish your plan of burning is all up followed by mass migration all the best of luck in the coming decade. What do you the population of Australia will be like in 2035?
@@rocsti5402 1. Do not lower yourself to ad hominem attack. It demonstrates serious lack of knowledge and a lack of civility. It is beneath you to behave so. 2. The Australian Aborigines understand the bush better than do you. It is their home. It was the home of their ancestors of multiple generations past. The Australian Aborigines developed the approach of routine small controlled bush fires to clear the litter and prevent it building up to dangerous levels. These ancient people know that in order to control nature one must first understand it. They do both. The Australian Aborigines thrived in Australia for a very long time indeed and they are still there to this very day. 3. I do not know what the population of Australia might be in 2035. It isn't relevant to the topic anyway. 4. Note, I am not Australian and do not live there. 5. Australia is a fascinating place. It is very beautiful in many, many areas. The environment is often extremely rugged and can be quite hostile to human life. You need to know what you are doing to survive in the bush or in the outback. Taking a journey through either teaches humility and a respect for the people who live out there. 6. Many wonderful people are in Australia. They possess a brilliant culture and tradition with really interesting history which we can all learn a great deal from. 7. It is recommended you visit Australia and see it for yourself- although recently it is unlikely you'll be allowed to leave wherever it is you reside. That's too bad, for you are missing out on a great experience, a lot of quality learning and meeting some of the best people anywhere. 8. Australia has been known as "The Lucky Country" for an extended period of time. There is a reason for that. It has to do with the people and their attitude to life. Theirs is an example to learn from.

The actual quote was "Win it or bin it." Bin it is an Australian term for throwing something in the trash.
also another rad shirt to make!!!
Yeah I'm a fan of win it or bin it
Did someone say trophy truck?
Checkers or Wreckers

The incar for the tip in for the first burnout had me on edge
Probably because there's a 94% chance he's gonna go ham with the walltaps ;)

It's crazy what they're dealing with in Australia, I hope they can get the fires under control soon. Awesome series of videos guys!
Cleetus, Coop, and James have taught me patience and persistence and to take the bad in stride. Im so glad i found this channel when Leroy still had a body because the journey has had lessons left and right that i didnt even know i needed to know. All the love and support for you guys. All I can say now is thank you for being yourselves and not just a face for youtube. Keep doing what you're doing, let her eat and do it for dale!
not bashing but just fyi, leroy has not had body panels since Cleetus bought it salvaged 👍🤘
Sorry buddy, not trying to argue, but you must be confused with another channel. Leroy has never had a body. Cleetus found him just like this, no body and tail chopped due to a previous wreck. It’s part of why he bought it.
OK, he must know by now that Cleetus never had body panels to begin with, but hey, what a nice comment.

I’m sure Cleetus would like to thank everyone for the love and support that everyone gave from CIT coming in clutch with the shop to use for the motor swap. summernaats for the experience and huge show. All the aussies that helped though out the whole show. It’s awesome seeing the support form the Australians. Much love to y’all for that. Sucks all the damn fires, hopefully they’re over soon. Such a beautiful country, sad to see it burning like that.
All of the amazing support from the locals really made what could have been a really sucky trip, into an amazing experience. Really heartwarming to see all the support given to cleetus throughout the whole trip! I've always loved Australia, but this makes me want to go visit more than ever!

The idea of air quality affecting a burnout competition 😂
Everybodys a winner...
@@rocsti5402
Poor guys down under, hope they get everything handled.
Yeah I just looked it up...fml I had no idea how bad the fires were.
well, if I were an Aussie, I'd be out in the bush with a shovel, or rake, or pee, or SOMETHING.
