Did you know where we get the word "Apocalypse" from?
The Book of Revelation, in Greek, is called "The Apocalypse of John."
But the word "Apocalypse" did NOT originally refer to the end of the world.
Apocalypse is a transliteration of Greek meaning "Revelation". A revealing. This vision was revealed to John, and so it was called "Revelation".
But over time, the word "apocalypse" became synonymous with the end of the world, despite the original word not even implying such a thing.

Like one time, we had gotten into South Africa, and I got a very detailed rundown on the wines they do well and the wines they do poorly, and all of this wraps up with, "Anyway, the whole country's gone to shit simce Apartheid ended."
