All boils down to research and thorough research. Multiple consultations, and always request to see before and after photos of previous patients.

Some of these dentist act like a lot of people just have 50 grand to drop on porcelain veneers. Sometimes people do what they need to do to feel better about who they are. Irritating.

Plus, not everyone wants their teeth shaved! My enamel is worn off and I rather have composite bonding to begin with to protect my teeth until I have to get veneers.

As a dentist I don’t recommend doing things on healthy teeth ! But if you want aesthetic things that’s what you get! The dentist doesn’t come too you to sell you are going to the dentist and you ask for everything to look like Hollywood and want it cheap! Well if you want it cheap that’s what u get!
PS I’m here because a patient of mine wants bonding veneers changed!
I hate this Trent if you ask me! With all types of make my smile perfect!
Go to a damn orthodontist! Spend time ! Do something right ! Stop wanting the fast track in life it only causes trouble!
And trust me I don’t want that money! Because I know it comes with having this patient for his whole life complaining about this decision he made and having this stress in my life which I don’t need !
Love you all treat ur teeth with respect!hehe

@@jemmaworch I haven’t accepted any yet! This one I did because I will repair something already done!
As for now I will never accept shaving healthy teeth! But if I’m economically desperate I will have to reconsider! Mind that I’m not a dentist in USA of England that most of not all of them make big bucks! I’m in Greece
But I was taught never destroy healthy teeth for aesthetics! You do it only when a patients psychology gets greatly damaged from his teeth and never smiles for example!
Look where I’m from it’s illegal to advertise ur dental practice! And almost everyone does it!
Ethically our profession is not doing that great! Unfortunately dentists and doctors put their pocket over a patients health! Look at what plastic surgeons do! So I get it trust me !

This is good advice. I have some gaps and think bonding is the best for me. Braves won’t work as I don’t have enough teeth for my mouth. Also I’m 46 so I terms of how many times they might need to be replaced and the cost is less of an issue compared to say if I was 21. I only need 6 of my top teeth done.

Is there a difference between the composite used for cavity fillings and the one used for aesthetic changes? Because I have two cavity fillings with composite and I have had them for almost 10 years. I'm having biyearly check-ups (like it is recommended in my country for dentist appointments) and they are in a pretty good condition. My dentist back then mentioned hat 10 to 15 years is a normal. I always thought the material used for composite bonding is the same...

Composite preserves tooth structure, non invasive, cab last much longer than 5 years if you look after them welll with hygiene and eating habits. Get composite first, you can completely reverse them and get veneers if you don't like them. They stain and chip easier than porcelain but guess what, so does your natural teeth. I done alot of research on this and lady is literally scaring the money out of your wallet, not one good thing did she mention.
