Thank you so much for this, born in Canterbury, lived my formative years in Sandwich, and currently living on a narrowboat in Oxfordshire i feel my roots have been thoroughly untwisted and debunked to the current understanding of the origins of all this patriotism that we were given ,probably quite innocently, at school...
