    I love your reviews, very detailed!! bottom line, for entry level DD wheel around the $400-$500...for PS5 you would recommend PXN v12 Lite ? I'm hesitant because it's a Chinese brand where in the past my experience with Chinese product support was very bad\difficult.

    • @JoeyBagZ
      @JoeyBagZ  2 месяца назад +1

      PS5 and direct drive is a difficult position. Your only 2 “affordable” options are PXN and Fanatec. Fanatec is about $700 just for the GT DD pro 5nm bundle which is a good bundle but pricey. The PXN v12ddl isn’t a bad option as long as you know the issue up front. Yes it’s a Chinese brand, but they are very responsive either through Instagram or their discord. Also on ps5 on GT7 I got disconnects of the wheel base from the console, I would have to unplug and replug the dongle. For me it was intermittent during gameplay, but I also don’t play a lot of GT7. It never happened to me while playing Assetto Corsa competizione, but that’s also a title I didn’t play often. For me since I mainly race on PC having the console compatibility was something I wanted as to not have multiple setup if I wanted to play on my Xbox or ps5. I love my PXN base and wheel, but I will not gloss over the issues that would be disingenuous. On Pc it’s great (the software sucks lol) but the hardware is good. If you are on pa5 only then you need to be away of the disconnect issue, Fanatec has its own list of issues, mainly company wise, hardware wise it’s been great, I have it and use it when I can. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask.

      @@JoeyBagZ Thanks Joey. per your recommendation, I did check with Microcenter about the PXN DDS 10NM and they said this product is discontinued. Checking on their website you can still find one in-stock at 2 of their branches (really cheap $127), but they're in different states and no shipping. So I guess I'll go for the DDL 6NM.
      If I'm a beginner adult, and most likely my teenage kids will use it as well, is it worth the extra $$, or G923 and T300RS will provide similar experience?

      @@boso74 it’s definitely going to be a better experience with a direct drive unit than some of the other gear driven and belt driven units. If this is going to be strictly used on a console like a PlayStation or Xbox I would highly recommend getting it through Amazon. Try it out, if the issues like the disconnecting from the console are a big issue return it, if it’s going to be mainly used on PC then I think you will enjoy it.

      To me yes they do. But what I am going to do to get a more definitive answer is I will use the moza ES wheel on the PXN base. Doing this I will know if the lightness of the moza ES wheel is contributing to the snappiness and sharp feeling and of the weight of the wheel and PXN button box contribute to not as sharp feeling of the PXN wheel base.

    • @JoeyBagZ
      @JoeyBagZ  11 месяцев назад +3

      So I used the ES wheel with the formula plate on the PXN base. And I was correct. The smaller lighter wheel does make my PXN feel snappier and sharper. The heavier wheel I am using do dampen some of the FFb. I will weigh the wheel later and let you know.

    Hi Joey. I'm currently using the T300 and i only play one racing game and it's GT7 in VR on the PS5. I'm thinking of buying the PXN after watching your video but what i wanted to know is how good is the FF? Is the torque good enough? I wonder will it be better than the T300. For me the FF of the T300 is good enough for me. The other thing is how reliable is the connection to the PS5? Does it disconnect regularly as I play a lot of online daily races on GT7 and that will be a deal breaker for me. One last thing is how bad is the oscillation and can it be tuned down? Regarding the setting and since i only play GT7, will the the setting stay after turning off or it need to be set every time when i want to play?

    • @JoeyBagZ
      @JoeyBagZ  5 месяцев назад

      I love my PXN base and wheel because it gives me the flexibility of using it on my ps5 and Xbox. I do not rely on it solely for my ps5. As I have mentioned in other videos, the is a issue that happens when using the PXN on ps5 using the n5 adaptor where every so often it disconnects and you have to unplug the n5 dongle and plug it back in. I have had that happen mod race, now for me it isn’t an issue as I do not race seriously in gt7. My main racing is done in PC. So if you are considering the PXN as your main wheel for console, I would rethink it. Unfortunately there is no real inexpensive solution for a direct drive setup on ps5, options like the Logitech G pro are expensive ($800) and don’t include pedals so that’s more money spent. The fanatec GT DD Pro is probably the least expensive unit but it’s $700 and right now Fanatec has its own issues with inconsistent shipping. Another option is using devices like the drive in and ras1ution 2, but they have their own issues and added cost of $100-$120 added onto the price of whatever direct drive bundle you pick. Don’t get me wrong I love my pxn and on PC it’s 100% reliable for me (where I do 99.9% of my sim driving) but on ps 5 it is not as reliable, and unfortunately the disconnect issue isn’t predictable, it’s random, so as long as you know that from the beginning then you can understand that there’s always some trade offs. Watch as many reviews as you can and use that to then make your educated decision.

    • @kevinlei1969
      @kevinlei1969 5 месяцев назад

      @@JoeyBagZ Thank you for your quick response. So the random disconnect is kind of deal breaker for me. I understand that the V12 use the dongle that plug in to the base controller port. Have you try plugging a PS5 controller instead of the N5 dongle? Would that work and if it does, would it eliminate the random disconnection problem?

      That’s a rather narrow way to see things. Consoles just for shear numbers beat out gaming PC’s. Those children are the ones playing all those games and a lot of the new ones like Forza 2023 and EA WRC 2023 are catered to those console players with controllers. Those are the consumers that pay the bills. Sim racing while becoming more popular is still a niche market. A smart company notices this and offers their product to an adjacent market, console gamers. Fanatec has done it for quite some time. While they are on the upper price point those serious simcade users ( Forza and GT I can’t really call a true sim) use those products. So yea console compatibility is a big thing.

You obviously don’t know of what you speak of. I make the short coming very clear in my video. I have all this hardware and use it. My reviews are of actual real works testing. The eas1ution is not a good option, the dongle from PxN actually works better and gives you better force feed back but you would know that if you actually had any of those hardware and used it. I actually have a GT dd pro the PlayStation compatible version on its way. Then all 3 will be out head to head. So you can take your negativity elsewhere. If you do t like my video by all means stop watching. But do not make false claims. The PXN dongle works. The ras1ution also works on PlayStation but not on Xbox because Microsoft blocked unlicensed 3rd party hardware. So the ras1ution shouldn’t be in any conversation anymore.

People have troubles with connecting to ps5 with n5 dongle a lot. It’s not a native compatibility so idk how you’re saying it’s still better than raslution. So then you mention Xbox. Xbox compatibility isn’t really a problem coz moza and fanatec bases are all Xbox compatible as long as you have a wheel. Most people end up getting McLaren gt3 wheel from fanatec which is Xbox compatible by default. And mozas cheapest wheel is Xbox compatible natively. No dongle bs. It’s like you’ve convinced yourself that this is the only bubble you and your channel can exist in current market. The prices would’ve been ok if moza fanatec and cammus didn’t turn the dd world upside down in the last year. And pxn didn’t keep up with those prices. Leaving you and your angles redundant. Grow tf up, you know you’re falsely advertising when you say it’s the best cheapest console compatible wheel. That’s why I keep mentioning raslution since you are going that route. If you have ever watched any reputable reviewer most of them never recommend pxn over other wheels coz the price difference is not enough pxn is too expensive. If pxn was 20-30% cheaper than an actual reputable brand it would make sense. You came off pathetic in your response telling me I’m the one making false claims lol and sure good luck to you with the gt dd pro I’m sure you’ll find ways to say pxn v12 ddl is better than a 8nm load cell fanatec product 😂 it’s almost pathetic. But anyways you gotta make content for your income and this is the route you chose so Godspeed. But the flip side is ppl who understand less will take your word for it and spend same amount of money on an unreliable company and objectively inferior product (torque and pedals wise).
