This week, we talk about an unknown team of Power Rangers, and they are the Prism Rangers (the Power Rangers version of CChoushinsei Flashman). They were attacked by a young Astronema who wanted to know Zordon's location. While some members managed to escape, the fate of the team is unknown!
This isn't the first time you've seen them though. Their Ranger Powers have been preserved within the Morphin Grid until Gosei later extracted the Ranger Powers from the Grid and made Legendary Ranger Keys for the Super Megaforce Rangers.
Today, we talk about their origin story, history, their weapons, zords, and ultimately, their downfall.

@@hiEste that’s actually a pretty decent theory! Because the team probably wasn’t dead broken most likely or they did die and she pulled some magic to bring them back under her control.
Thats a good idea, considering the psycho suits do have that similar visor and style to the prism suits, just in a darker form
but id also like to expand the prism team and have those suits be the second version suits, the V2's
V1 being Bioman's suits, even the mecha as they are extremely similar in style

Edit: i Made a Mistake Psycho Grenn killed the Super Sonic Rangers befor he bacme Psycho green but Astronema later reprograms the Psycho rangers to be good and they turn unto Psycho Green

Would love to see the Prism Rangers get their own comic run. I think it would be neat to see where they came from and how they got their powers.

@@AkodoNoEyes Those we’re the Supersonic Rangers. We get small portion of them in Power Rangers Unlimited: Heir to Darkness. But beyond just watching Astronema slaughter them, we don’t get an idea of what they were as a team or their backstory.
Gosi said Prism hasn't been used on Earth before, which is true, it happened again with Chi Rangers.
Personally, I think Prism Rangers are best used as an Alien Ranger team, since Earth helms tend to be a similar shape, which would be a good way to identify Ranger Teams of different planets.
We don't have many Alien Ranger Teams, so allowing Prism to be a solar system were seven planets hold one Prism Power Temple could work, meaning the Prism Morphers can return to a safe location, similar to the Ninja Steel Stars returning to the Ninja Nexus Prism.
Where as for Chi Rangers Billy could return to Earth to help Tommy excavate a secret Ranger Temple thought lost and stay long enough to create modern Morphers and Zords after the the ancient Morphers choose their users (the suits being similar to what the modern suits would look like, bit with out the zord design features), as the chi usage is too much for the new rangers right now. (We just change the modern suits to change the buckles and remove any reference to Thunder Zords)
maybe change them to legendary guardian animals of various lores
Then later in season 2 after the season 1 finale where the modern Morphers are destroyed, the Rangers learn to use the ancient Morphers without draining too much of their chi, they get Zord features from what's called Bond Spirit animals that become their Zords and power ups, which is different to Jungle Fury Spirits, as the Ranger isn't born with the spirits, they came back to help their human, but the summoning is similar to Jungle Fury.

@@thelonelywriter9309 Why not call them the Mighty Morphin' Thunder Rangers. I know that Ninja Storm had their own Thunder Rangers. But Mighty Morphin' and S.P.D. both had their own Omega Rangers. Plus Turbo, Wild Force and S.P.D. all had their own Shadow Rangers. So Why not name this team the Mighty Morphin' Thunder Rangers, after the Thunder Zords.

The show doesn't have the Omega Ranger Team of Zordon, yet.
Chi Rangers makes them stand out, gives them a chance, especially when we have three different suits for them (Blank Ancient Chi Suits/Modern Chi Suits/Spirit Ancient Chi Suits) it also helps talk about the Ranger lore as well.
Meaning we can have Billy, an Alpha Bot and Tommy in Season 1 but their roles are tech, knowledge and mentorship, preparing the new Rangers for their final battle that they won't engage in.
Meaning when the Chi power grid links are destroyed by a new enemy, taking the other team hostage, Billy sends an S.O.S out into space, Andros comes, Tommy, Billy and Chi Red venture to Eltar to find the Zordon Vault, unlocking a Ranger team that was created and not in the Sentai, a team Zordon thought too powerful when the Grid produced the Morphers, but as Billy explains:
"The Grid doesn't randomly make Rangers, it detects frequencies and matches the evil frequency with a good frequency it has. Creating balance in the universe. Meaning this teams frequency is more powerful than anything before it and maybe after it, as the villain is more powerful than past enemies, the only Rangers than could be equal to it is the Zeo Rangers, as their powers actually increase over time."
My theory is that the prism rangers were the original protectors of the super zeo zords but in ancient times of triforia explaining how zeo gold had the zords and why there was no ranger team on his home-world. Unlike the alien, space, & lost galaxy rangers.

Zeo Crystals at 100% of their power: Kiramager
If Hasbro wants so, they can match all these sentai in kiramager adaptation.
so fun fact in my fan fick at one point things get so bad tommy uses the full zeo cryatal to turn into Zeo Ranger 15, Black, cause 1+2+3+4+5 = 15, with a explosion as his visor....it nearly kills him

That actually works really well in my opinion, especially because the Zeo Crystal gets more powerful over time. Though I've always imagined that the Turbo/Carranger powers are also connected to the Zeo Crystal because it's not like the rangers just lose the Zeo Crystal in the Turbo Movie, they just change the costumes, zords and weapons so they can survive longer against Divatox and Malagore.
Hope we get more info on the Prism Rangers such as their identities, their powers, etc.
BTW, On the Battle for the Grid Twitter page, it’s officially confirmed that a trailer for Season 4 is set to drop this upcoming Tuesday.

Choushinsei Flashman is easily the best pre zyuranger sentai season and it’s one of the most darkest and emotional

I find it interesting that the people write/make the comics saw the pure WTF stuff of Super Megaforce bringing in Sentai Only teams, and actually ran with it. That’s the sign of a good writer in a long running franchise. Taking something that may have been seen as TERRIBLE in one part of the series, and making something good with it. In this case, actually giving real, PR versions of some very old Sentai teams with an actual place in the Universe instead of, “Here’s random new powers that are cool and we’re never gonna explain them!”
I doubt this will ever extend outside of comics, so I hope we get more info on some other teams that SMF botched and they can play into the Lore.
Example;One personal head canon of mine is that, due to MM White Ranger constantly being shown with the Dairanger suits and their similarities(because they were originally from the same show in Japan), that whatever to their PR equivalents, whether they be dead, missing, whatever, Zordon could have used their powers to help create the OG White Ranger powers.

I am currently working on a fanfic reboot of Super Megaforce. My version of the Prism Rangers is that they originated from the Lost Galaxy and were created via genocide by the Reconstructive Experiment Empire Mess.

Although the Flashman / Prism ranger suit came from the 80's it has not aged at all in my opinion, I would love to see it streamlined and slicker but 35 years later it still looks modern and nice

I think best to make a comic is to make it about time force and have the prism rangers and make them separate in different ranger times, then blue got teleported to the time of the prism rangers so blue goes up upon the Prism Rangers Morphers and bones. Then he brings them with him but he didn't know green and pink have left age's ago. So while hes stumbling he see's a Flash of green. and since he didn't know green wasn't there he thinks its time force green so he try's to catch up. Then he see's the green prism ranger, but he quickly vanishes into the darkness and was not seen again for the rest of the comic. Then he finds a portal for a way back home, But he doesn't see pinks corpse right beside it.
Hey I remember seeing them in Super Megaforce. Such a shame we only saw the green and pink rangers

After rewatching Super Megaforce, it is the same Sentai that the White Ranger came from in which Gotse says it’s a power never seen on earth before.

I don't have a fan made prism ranger origin story. But I am writing a fan made Megaforce Origin Story that revolves around the son of Zordon (to replace Gosei) finding the power keys and locking them away until the child of legend (Born on the day Zordon Died) is old enough to find and wield them for himself having been kidnapped and raised by a band of Alien Pirates. Kind of like Star Lord but power ranger style.
To me having other people or teams using other teams powers of dead rangers is okay a little bit it reminds me of when Karnoe used Kendrix powers before she came back to life and Mike using the Magna Defender's powers in lost Galaxy🙂
Maybe in the Dino thunder episode, all the symbols in the trash pile are all dead teams, while the symbols not thrown away are all teams still alive and out there, and Boom Comics is using this to establish the placement of these missing teams in the PR multiverse

There's a simple explanation for that
The Flashmen that are killed, i imagined theyre decoys. The Yellow Ranger's missing snd the real Flashmen are lookin 4 her. The decoys were made of pure prisms from their galaxy. ...in my Toqger adaption this'll be explained as that. Yellow Flash's counterpart in my story is the Toqger's mentor

The main reason why Flashman is probably in Korean Power Rangers games has too do with the fact that Flashman was huge for kids in korea in the 80/90s. It was probably the only Super Sentai that was FULLY dubbed to Korean at the time.
And I was fully aware and watched them (flashman epi) two years before immigrating to the USA and it was another year or so after coming to America did Power Rangers debut on Fox Kids.
So yeah kind of sucks to see them disrespected like that in US Media as I find them as a team probably just as good as MMPR. Not only that unlike the MMPR team who always won vs their monster of the week with almost no issues besides when fighting vs the green ranger and near the end when Goldair and his zord kicked their butt, in Flashman almost every fight was ... drag out knock down bare knuckle bar fight.
You can find the EPI on RUclips with subs, I highly recommend fans of Power Rangers to watch it.
And the most awesome thing about it now is they can't use footage quality as a reason not to do anything anymore is because they can do anything they want to now to the footage they can make it look HD they can change the graphics so we got plenty of power ranger teams to go back to
I actually have a idea but it’ll be short and talk about the Characters and Things like that
Red (Chase) - Chase will be like that Confident and Brave type of Red Ranger and Cares for his team and is the Little Brother of Prism Pink
Blue (James)- James would be like a Clumsy and Kindhearted Ranger but even when he is Acting all nice he wouldn’t let the Monsters take him for a Joke and he would destroy them
Yellow (Charlie)- Charlie would be like a Sassy and Confident and would also wouldn’t really take her Job as serious as the others but she still would care to take care of the Team
Green (Kai)- Kai is like Sky he thinks that he should of been the Red Ranger and would have a Rivalry with Chase but he would take his Job more serious and want to destroy Astromina (Or whoever) for Destroying/Killing his Family
Pink (Erika)- Erika would kinda be a Careful Older Sister to her and Chase and would treat the other like her Siblings. But like James even tho she is Nice she doesn’t like being taken as a Joke

I know this is off topic but I like to think the books and the tv show are in the same continuity but with a lot of retcons. Like zedd being eltarian then human or there being some modern tech in 1993 and 94.
Not to mention the female from the 90’s power rangers film that gave ninja powers to the rangers.

I didn't know the comics were trying to No-Prize Saban's lazy editing. It would be better if they had explained it in the show, the part most people know, but that's probably too much to ask for a company that couldn't be bothered to cut Sentai teams that weren't adapted in USA
Another mysterious Power Rangers team explained. The prism rangers history is flawed. Hopefully that the comics explain their powers, origins, and show their identities. Sentai teams mentioned that were in past power rangers seasons hopefully that they get adopted into live action shows possiblity.
I hope Saban does the rangers they showed in Supermega force. Just kinda gets the costumes and all of that and record it themselves y'know?
I don't know if they were all destroyed I think that Prism Pink was the only one who Astronema killed so maybe they could get a new Prism Pink etc. I honestly have a theory that Prism Pink was resurrected later to become Psycho Pink.
So that means all Sentai logo appear in Dino thunder is already become Power Rangers on comic books.

It's really weird, in Latin America our first look to the "5 colors group with robots" was Liveman, and then we saw Flashman (even if Flashman is older). When I first saw Power Ranger, it felt like a cheap knock off. The stories in the super sentai are always better than the power rangers one.
I thought the story of the extra power keys we see was they were these secret rangers teams that were active during or in-between certain series and the we never saw them before was because they were like the black-ops units but for power rangers

Fan theory: the prism ranger is the predecessor/origin of zeo rangers..
It sort of Evolution Morphing..
Prior to the attack of the young Andromeda they know they can't win this battle does they put there faith to the future ranger but the problem the prism crystal is very unique and they might be the last prism ranger, with Zordon guidance they seek a crystal that's have same wavelength too pass there power and that is the Zeo crystal.
That's explain why a young Andromeda can defeat the team because they are weaken passing there power to the zeo crystals
Well prism and other unexplained powers coming from other planets makes sense that sorta lazy
I think the prism rangers in show made the zeo crystal with Prism green having fist attacks like Adam(Zeo Green) and Prism Pink does kick attack like Tanya (Zeo Yellow)

i think the prism rangers that survived are the team that should have became space ranger team it makes sense since the only three team members left on that team was the green yellow and red ranger
if the red ranger stayed as the red space ranger and the yellow ranger had died and the green ranger was close to death making him the 6th ranger due too four other rangers already being picked time line wise it makes sense
remember in space first episode said that the red ranger himself was hiding but that's my theory

I have a question... In the beginning of the Power Rangers Movie didn't Dolcia say that there was a team of Rangers who had successfully locked Ivan Ooze away? I'd like to know what Power Ranger team did that. Could this be the team or no?
It could be the Aquitar Rangers or a previous generation of that team, since the Ninja Zords are aligned with the Sacred Animals of Phaedos, which could imply that some form of the Aquitar Rangers, if they even exist in the 1995 Movie Universe, could have landed on Phaedos and became the first to acquire the Great Power, which allowed them to seal away Ivan Ooze.
