I’m surprised the White ranger wasn’t included. There hasn’t been much but depending on the character, white can either represent leadership like Tommy when he’s white Tiger ranger, the white Alien ranger being the leader of the alien rangers, or Udanna being the mentor for the mystic force rangers. Although sometimes white can also be a substitute for pink as most female white rangers in Sentai and Power Rangers has that little bit of pink in the designs for their suits.
white is more like purity for me... like a clean soul and the one who you can trust more. And for those are the example mentioned in the comment 👍👍👍 nice observation
@@johndh2485 Kaito in Zenkaiger comes to mind as there's a special they released that explained this in detail called Zenkai Red: Great Introduction that had him struggling with the fact that he wasn't a red ranger and instead a white one. Tsuruhime aka Ninja White explained to him that the color isn't what makes the ranger, but what they do with their powers that matters. It wasn't just her there though but I won't spoil the rest. The common traits that Kaito and her share is that they have a lot of compassion and love for everyone even for people who aren't really that good. It's a main factor to why Stacey joined them in the end against his father and the Tojitendo. It's also helps that Tsuruhime is the first female sentai leader in a way as Sasuke isn't considered the Kakuranger's leader but more of a second in command/big brother character.
Honestly I find it weird that green doesn't show up in all of them. But I imagine they might want to use green screens for some scenes and having a Green Ranger would make everything harder.
I think white represents purity and redemption like with Tommy. Trent, also like Tommy, started out evil but joined the team later on. To the other Jungle fury rangers, Dominic wasn’t serious enough about his role in the team but he convinced them enough. I’m not too sure about white with Alyssa and Udonna though.
Alyssa is like the glue of the group, as she kept everything together. she represented hospitality and kindness and pure intentions and innocence. she was the holy angel of the group in my opinion. (as u can tell my favorite from WF)
The original colors of the Power Rangers were based on the natural light colors generated by the sun. They are the visible light in the electromagnetic spectrum. The rainbow shows the six natural light colors. Invisible light, like ultraviolet light, is also represented as the color Black. Black is also all of those colors combined. All of the other colors are just variations of the six natural light colors. White is not a natural light color. White has nothing to do with purity. It actually literally means nothing, scientifically speaking. But a dictionary producer & individuals can make it mean whatever they want it to mean.
As a Ziggy stan I feel like I have to say he’s more than just comedic value. He definitely fits into your original description of a green ranger, as he had to grow and constantly prove himself worthy of being a power Ranger
A quick note about the color red in Japanese culture, because Power Rangers is adapted from the Super Sentai series, red is the color that drives away evil. Gaijin Goombah has a whole video where he talks about this and other things related to the character he's talking about; he's an excellent resource when it comes to Japanese culture and history. And on the subject of the color blue, dark blue, as close to midnight blue as possible, is more accurate to shinobi than the stereotypical black, but there are some caveats to this rule; Gaijin Goombah goes to the particulars of this in his series Which Ninja? for some of the characters he discusses in the series.
My favorite color is definitely violet/purple. Big reason as to why RJ is my favorite ranger so far. In color theory, violet can mean royalty and wisdom, but it can also symbolize corruption when paired with black. In this case, it's a corruption that can be purified, as opposed to black's "lost cause". Violet is still a color of the rainbow, while black isn't, so that's kinda where that idea comes from. So, characters that sport black and violet are often used with a character who is corrupted/evil/ill/etc, but can be redeemed or healed. This is why many villains-turned-hero, and lone wolves sport violet and black color schemes. What unused color do I want to see in Power Rangers? I'd say bronze or copper. Brown is kinda boring to look at, but make it shiny and now it's another precious metal. Just a note to add, black rangers tend to be the lancer of the group. Red is the leader, and they come in many different types. The black ranger is often used to be their foil and will also be varied in order to reflect on the team's red. This is most notable in RPM with Scott and Dillon's rivalry. However, it's not always antagonistic. Look at Jason and Zack; Jason was focused and serious, while Zack was outgoing and affable. Sometimes, this role falls to blue when no black ranger is present, such as in Jungle Fury where Casey is inexperienced and unsure of himself, while Theo is talented, and cocky.
@@bleppyboo5969 Well, more like black is the corruption, and violet is the sliver of hope that it can be purified. But yes, that is exactly the kind of thing I was referring to. Koragg was corrupted and wore violet. Once he was redeemed, he wore crimson. Same thing with RJ, our first violet ranger. He was having issues with his wolf spirit going haywire, and making peace with it allowed him to fix them. That, and he's the mentor, so... purple wisdom!
Your description for purple, makes me think more about how it would have been nice to see Karone(Astronema) be the purple ranger during the In Space season.
*Red* is the Colour that represents *Bravery* and *Justice,* Key Traits of a PR Team Leader. It also embodies the *Element of Fire.* Red Rangers have the essential role of keeping their team In-Synch, as the most common tactic Villains use is to _seperate a Leader from their Team,_ and tear those teammates apart as tensions flare without them. They will also have to handle any *Personal Issues with Relatives or Colleagues* if they have any, as those things _usually find a way_ of directing them towards *the Fate of a Ranger.* *Blue* is the Colour that represents *Wisdom and/or Intelligence,* and Cool-headedness in the heat of Battle. It can also embody the *Elements of Water or Ice.* When embodying *Intelligence,* a Blue Ranger will often have less Physical Fighting skill, and will need to rely upon *Strategy, Weaponry* and _sometimes even Luck_ to keep up with the rest of the Team. Whereas those embodying *Calmness* must learn to use that trait _in a Strategic Matter_ to excel in their field, and use *Wisdom* to avoid disaster... Blue also has a variant in *Cyan or Aqua,* which can fill the same roles in a Feminine position or, _when embodying Ice,_ can represent a *Cold, Steadfast Demeanour* or _Self-Justified Distancing_ from the Team. *Yellow* is the Colour that represents *Solidarity,* and a *Finely-Honed Body or Mind.* It also often embodies the *Element of Earth.* They will often be able to _hold a Team together_ in dire straits, but can sometimes be *Tempermental when under Stress.* *Green* represents *Potential,* and the *Element of Nature.* Rangers given this Colour require *Personal Growth,* and are usually _pushed harder than the rest of the Team_ - this will benefit them greatly, *if they can endure.* While often strong or skilled in their own right, _with the right guidance_ they can reach *Grand New Heights.* It's no surprise that this member _is often targeted by Evil Forces,_ as they are *vulnerable to Corruption* early in their Training, and can be a *Villain's Strongest Weapon,* or their *Worst Nightmare,* depending upon _who they swear allegiance to..._ *Black* represents *Resourcefulness,* and can display numerous Strengths and Talents when necessary, and can occasionally embody the *Element of Earth.* It also represents *a Troubled Soul* that needs to be _steered in the Right Direction._ Black is commonly associated with *Darkness,* and the Skills they have often come from _a shady past_ - this past is something they *will need to face and overcome* to reach their full potential. *Pink* is the Colour that represents *Dexterity and Passion,* and is the Embodiment of the *Element of Air.* Mostly reserved for *Female Team Members,* as Males are usually _unable to stand being seen_ in this Colour regularly. Pink Rangers are often _highly agile,_ and show exceptional skill in *Targeting.* Commonly stereotyped as _the most Feminine Team Member,_ Pink Rangers *may either Embrace this* or have to *find their own Path to Individuality* as part of their progress. *The Specialist Colours* are what I'd call the following, as they are almost always used for *Sixth and Extra Rangers,* and are not represented in the *Hierarchy of the Morphin' Masters.* *Gold* embodies the *Element of Lightning,* and often represents _a Rich or Noble Theme._ *Silver* often represents *Speed,* and the _Theme of Technology._ These two Colours are *Stronger when on their own, or Versatile when paired together* - Teams usually contain _One Variant or the Other._ Gold Rangers usually have powers *tied to the Past* - Silver Rangers, *to the Future.* When as a Pair, their *Teamwork and Synchronicity* is vital to _their effectiveness in Battle._ *White* is Strongest when embodying the *Element of Light,* but can also play a lesser role with the *Element of Ice or Air.* If embodying Light, is often the only time a Red Ranger can _be outranked_ as Team Leader. These Rangers have an *Indomitable Will,* and innate *Resilience against Evil Forces.* Few and far between because they _are considered Overpowered with few Flaws,_ and are thus used in this role *Very Rarely.* In Lesser Roles, they can be used as Primary Team Members in similar standing to a Pink Ranger, or as Powerful, though sometimes unreliable *Extra Rangers.* Not very Common in either case... *Purple, Violet or Indigo* are used very rarely, as the Colour is _heavily_ associated with *Evil Powers in Western Media* - even more than the colour *Black,* thanks to Politically Correct Society! When used, often represents _Themes of Regality or Mentorship._ Similar to Black, usually has to overcome *some Darkness from their Past* before they can Awaken their Full Powers. *Other Colours* are too few and far between to bear any Specific colour traits consistently, so that'll have to do...
When you mentioned "passion" for the color red that reminded me that I notice this one thing about the psycho rangers a few months back and would love to share it! the psycho's (the seven that we know) are almost identical to the seven deadly sins. Pink: Gluttony. at least when she acquires the savage sword that gets stronger with every blow. Yellow: Sloth. She is mostly seen slithering back behind the scenes and let her team do most of the work, she even tricked pink into capturing Ashley. Blue: Greed. As seen wanting to take on all 'blue' rangers for himself. Black: Pride. He's the most loyal of the five, even holding back red when he surprised attacked the rangers. Red: Lust. while obviously not in a you-know-what sense, lust does also mean "desire". Red desired Andros destruction so badly even his own fellow psycho's told him "dude chill!", he even attacked those who got in his way. Silver: Wrath. even though fake, this one desired the destruction of all the power rangers "once and for all", regardless of color. Green: Envy. Trek was born a psycho ranger out of jealousy of his team mate.
Finding your color would be a matter of your personality. Red: A Stoic, Passionate, Hot Headed, Friendly, Courageous, or Aloof Leader. Black: A Cool, Laid Back, Can be Serious, Or can be a Goof, Againat the Grain or Objective Thinker, or Loner, or Mysterious. Blue: Disciplinarian, Intellectual or the Smart One Most of the time, Can be the Calm Level Headed one. The Opposite end of the Spectrum can Be Naive but Observant, and can be Stubborn. Yellow: The one that sees the best in everyone. Optimistic the one that can be the most Emotionally Intelligent. Often times prefers to support others more than be in the spotlight. Strength, Support, Resilience. Pink: Also can be Emotionally Intelligent, Mostly a Critical Thinker like Blue but more on the emotional side. Almost always the Heart of the Group the Healer, The Nurse, the one that can be a sister either big or little. Empathy Can stands up for their beliefs and dreams and the one's of others. White can also take this role like Green and Black being interchangeable unless they are on the same team. White: As stated before can be a Leader, Purity, The Heart of The Group. Embraces change. Green: Can be a Wild Card, One who goes against the Grain, Rebellious, Challenges the leader or works with them the best, Sensible, and Understanding, But can also be Aloof, Earthy and Aware of other things everyone misses(Observant), The opposite end of the spectrum The Kid, The Goof Ball, The Slacker, when there's a choice between A and B they look for C, the one that has something to Prove. Growth. Purple: Simple most of the time the Wise, Older, Experienced, Mentor Type takes this role, it CAN be Royalty but it all fits and alongside previously stated. Someone who is Older and leads with expirence but allows Red to Lead the Charge through actions. Can be a Confidant or an Advisor. Recently in Super Sentai I've noticed alot of enemies are Purple. Often times they oppose the main team but then can join them later. Gold: Can be interchangeable with the 6th Ranger archetype. But in modern times they are Flashy, full of Bravado, Courage, Honor, the Heroic type. Mysterious until they join the team. Silver: Also interchangeable with 6th but usually they take on everyone's burdens, Heavy Hearted but Hidden, Usually have a major Secret and can also be aloof and team player later. When they join they usually have the most baggage, Their strong suit is basically an older brother figure at times or a Work Horse who goes above and beyond for their Goals. Goal Oriented and can be carefree later one. Orange: Not much about this one but ill just go off of what was said can be Passionate but not as Hot Headed as Red. Can be Competitive and a Rival, a Dreamer and Idealist. The rest I have not seen as much like Gray, Cyan, Crimson and Navy. Alt colors kinda come in interchangeably.
Yeah... the blue rangers basically being the 2nd leader of the group is consistent between both Super Sentai and Power Rangers. And actually one of the most recent Blue Rangers in Super Sentai, Saru Brother from DonBrothers, fits the calm and collected motif(dude constantly says Haikus and rarely ever gets money due to it being a corrupting force).
Love the video. Although sad on the fact there wasn’t much mention of mystic force. Vida was definitely a great tomboy example of a pink Ranger. She was a fairy but a sassy one and that became a huge part of her personality. And then there’s the rare white ranger. From mystic force.
Something I really love about green rangers, is just how bombastic/unique their fighting styles tend to be. They're the ones usually having the "icepick" hold on swords, the ones that have a goofy fighting style(shout-out Doc from Gokaigers😆), and or the ones generally doing the most acrobatics out of the group
I'm not sure how you would mention black representing the wild card and not mention Zack and his break dance style of combat that was distinct from the other rangers.
Orange is my personal favourite colour, and I would love it if we could get an official Orange Ranger one day, as part of the main team too. Also, a personal thing, but I would really enjoy it if we could get a female Red Ranger one day. I know Samurai had Lauren, but she was only present for 5 episodes, and I felt they didn't do enough with her character. We've kind of had female team leaders before, Jen from Time Force, so I just think it would cool, unique and fun if the leader and red ranger for a whole series could be a girl. There's lots of potential the writers could explore with it.
Yeah, color theory's pretty cool. Still, I'd like to see more underutilized colors in PR (and Sentai). It's kinda sad we didn't get a brown/bronze Void Knight for Dino Fury when Ryusolger only used that suit for like 1-3 episodes, plus we really need some more official orange and purple rangers in PR (here's hoping some Kyuranger suits get used because Sasori Orange and Ryu Commander's suits are awesome).
Kids dont buy BRONZE toys. they want 'gold' And lets not even joke brown lmao. That willl never be a PR color. They haven't even adapted any of the real orange rangers.
@@shawnnbits You’d be surprised. As a child I always wanted a brown ranger. When I saw Shinkenger and Mr. Brown became an honorary Shinken Brown I was really happy for him. It’s not just PR either, I really liked Stone Bionicle characters who happen to be brown. Pohatu of the Toa Mata, Nuva and Phantoka being one of my favorites for his personality so I was disappointed when his Phantoka upgrade made him orange. One of my favorite Dot Hack characters is Tsukasa and his character model in the series uses a Wavemaster class in the brown color palette. I tend to prefer bronze over gold and silver anyway and there’s so much potential for brown superhero colors and it’s much more interesting than the typical white and black.
If we're talking yellow rangers we have to talk about Tanya. To me, she's an amazing representative of what a yellow ranger is, someone who's always there to help others and has lots of inner strength and bravery. To be able to give up life as you knew it not for yourself but for the sake of others and quickly acclimate to your new environment takes so much strength and courage. Even though she stumbled a bit in the beginning because she was still new, once she got adjusted and hit her stride she became an amazing ranger. She's definitely #1 on my list of yellows.
I can’t lie, I always wanted Zordon to give Tommy a cool personality intro like how he did with the other Rangers in the first episode. Jason- Bold and powerful Zack- Clever and Brave Kimberly- Graceful and smart Billy- Patient and wise Trini- Fearless and Agile Tommy- Growth and potential
What about White? alternate shades of red of blue are kind of similar to their main counterparts. Both the Goruiger and Houou Soldier’s powers are ancient and were sealed for a long time-so there’s that
@@hiEste legit got me on the edge of my seat since the finale, it’s good to know I can talk to you bout PR and the boys, don’t see much of that often. lol
Crimson and navy likely represent the same as the red and blue rangers respectively with the black ranger's attribute of being mysterious mixed in with that.
Odd there was no mention of white. There was a rainbow ranger of sorts in the second Sentai series named Big One. The first use of the 6th ranger trope even though that series only started with four rangers and Big One joining about halfway through the series as the 5th.
The colors representation in super sentai/power rangers. ❤️Red: Bold and passionate. Sometimes hotheaded, but still has the potential of leadership. 💙Blue: Usually the calm one of the great. They are either the serious or intelligent type. 💛Yellow: Often the lovable and energetic ones. If they’re male then they are laid back or muscle of the team. If they’re female then they’re the “little sister”, or feminine tomboy. The most compassionate in either gender 💚Green: The wild card of the group, but usually labeled the comic relief. This not always the case. They take certain mixed qualities of blue and yellow. 🩷Pink: Often the “big sister” of the team. Like red but more concerned about others. Usually the girly girl but know when to be tough. Sometimes a feminine tomboy as well. 🖤Black: A wild card as well. Usually the “bad boy”/“loner” of the team. But they have a soft side underneath the rough edges. 🤍White: The most pure and innocent one. Sometimes the replacement for pink. The most noble warrior. Abare Killer(white dino ranger) is slightly opposite but redeemed himself. 🌟Gold & 🩶Silver: Both standout the most in the team. Silver being a bit more livelier than gold. Both having their own way to shine. Other colors tend to mix like green but still have their own personality. 💜🧡
I think the differences in the characterization of Blue in PR and SS is mainly cultural. Blue, in both, are meant to be calm and smart, which in America are more likely to be associated with nerdiness, whereas Japanese culture might associate that with cool-ness and seriousness (think Light from Death Note vs Light from the netflix remake)
This is true. I used to make my own Rangers as a kid. I looked into Dinosaurs when PR came out and made my own Orange Ranger. We for sure need more. I get hype seeing them.
As for colors I’d like represented, orange is severely underrated. The primary and their secondary colors have been represented in someway. Green being pretty common and Purple while still rare, still got some representation. To this day, we have yet to see an orange ranger in the main line up or even as the 6th ranger slot. One color I’d really love to see but doubt will happen due to how rare or unknown this color would be, beige. Or even salmon. It’s a very nice under appreciated color.
@@StarZendonna1687 🎯EXACTLY💯 I remember when she popped up as the Pink ranger when they did the power shift in Turbo - that was a big deal for PR lovers
I kinda thought that the color variety with the Power rangers was significant in a different way also. Where each segment of the Grid was split among the rangers. Because the full force of the grid is likely to be too much for one person to carry alone. So the Power needs to be tied to a range of the spectrum to ensure that the power isn't too overwhelming for the person taking the power. It also puts a significance for when they typically receive their powers too, most often as teenagers. Young enough that the power can be fully integrated in their bodies, while also old enough to handle the fight they have to engage in. Most older rangers tend to have had their powers already for a good amount of time already, as their bodies are already well adjusted to the power. I don't think there's been a ranger yet, who has taken the full power the grid at once, and I can't imagine there would be one like that could unless they were very special.
Colour truly is a massive part in Power Rangers heck the leadership in Wild Force went to Cole from Taylor just because he was red well the mentor in that season wasnt a great mentor. Rip Jason David Frank💚⚪🔴⚫
The original blue ranger was a geek but still quietly served as a decision maker for the team ......I think quite a few follow on series have tried to capture this and just get geek right
I would posit that Dino Charge Graphite, being a color related to a common mineral ending up with a literal prince would be more related humility. The Prince had to really learn how to be a noble hero before the Energem bonded with him
For me sure rangers colors are: 🔴 Is leader 🟦 Is smart 💛 Is tomboy for both ganders 💗 Is love and fully hearthstone w/💕 ♣️ Is can becomes aloneness Wolf ☘️ Is are nature and plant life
My favorite pink is Vida from mystic force. She literally hated pink. And “girly stuff”. But learned to like pink even adding the color to her hair streak. Then her whole hair
the thing about the blue ranger to me is that its kinda a leader lancer relationship with red being kinda a narrative foil for each other (jungle fury and SPD had rookie Reds and Blues that where more experienced, mmpr had a smarter blue for a brawnyer red etc.)
Brown Rangers in Super Sentai are essentially just throwaway Rangers. They are Rangers that aren't truly a part of the main team and usually are just the color used by those who want to be part of the team, but they can't be a part of the team because they don't have the same ability to become said Rangers. Shinken Brown(I believe used by a man by the name of brown) and Ryusoul Brown(once jokingly referred to as being Ryusoul Rust due to being used by a very old dude who wasn't at all fit for combat and I prefer that name for him) are two very good examples of this. Orange Rangers... I haven't exactly seen enough series to know what their role are. The most I've seen of them is Toq-6gou(rokugou I believe is what is said in the show) who was basically just an extra Ranger that just so happened to land in the hands of a person who decided to change sides. Toqger despite being a poorly selling show in Japan actually had a somewhat good, but childish story. There was also Battle Cossack (I believe that they were called?) However I haven't watched the series that they belonged to in order to know what they were like.
RIP JDF, BEST POWER RANGER EVER Talking about colours, my favourite colour is purple and I'd love to see more purple rangers. About suits in general, I recently finished Zyuohger and the suit for zyuo the world is really awesome.
it took me a minute to register the "rest in peace" message... then I googled it... I have no words... he came to my city several years ago, and right about now I'm really regretting the fact that I passed up the opportunity to meet him... a lot
Red is the stoic leader but sometimes has a zany fireball type a personality Blue is the second in command usually loyal to red and can either be male or female Green or black is sometimes comedic and sometimes wants to be better than red. yellow again either male or female is usually the tomboy or the strong personality. And pink or white is the princess type
Blue isn't always Second In Command but it usually goes to the smart one of the group, the naive one or the one with the stick up their butts. Black is comedic when the environment affects them like Delgado he was funny due to the fact that he was gentle giant and most came from his interactions with other people and how can be soft spoken. Zack was just a party dude and cool but there was things that would throw off the cool. And lastly Dillions interactions with Ziggy are the only comedy parts. But when it's Green and it goes to the Youngest in the group like Ziggy, Trip, Riley, and currently Izzy. But Black usually goes to the laid back or cool guy. Green can be the kid trying to prove themselves, the sensible one like Zander or in other instances a lone wolf.
My favorite color is Red and the major factor of it is because of Power Rangers, specifically Wild Force, because it was the very first Power Ranger series I have watched when I was a kid.
In Technicality, The Solaris Knight is like The Same Case as The Gold Zeo Ranger... The Base of The Solaris Knight's Armor is Mostly Dark Blue With Gold Armor Kinda Like on How Zeo Gold is Mostly a Black Ranger With Golden Armor
The power rings from DC, infinity stones from Marvel, lightsabers from Star Wars, and uniforms in Star Trek all come in different colors and represent different stuff as well man colors r expressive
when it comes to Dino Charge (or at least Kyoryuger), the reason there's no Yellow Ranger that was given was because of Yellow being associated to female Rangers in past years up to that point, & dinosaurs being something that needed a more masculine team
In Power rangers Ninja storm Hunter and Blake was the first Navy and Crimson ever in a ranger show plus their helmets are similar to Beetle borg suits from that show🪲🪲.

My guess is to why the Rangers were the same color clothing as their Ranger uniforms because it sort of a way to activating a Ranger’s Morphin sequence. It’s sort of like a number combination or a right key to a car, they just need to match in order for the whole thing to work. As for rangers like Mike wearing blue instead of Black, which is the color of the Magna Defender, Ryan wearing black instead of Silver, color of the Titanium Ranger, Eric wearing blue instead of red, color of the Quantum Ranger and Heckyll wearing black instead of Navy, color of the Talon Ranger. Mike can wear black sometimes like whenever he works out. Ryan’s team uniform has a silver badge on the jacket. Eric wears a red hat while wearing his Silver Guardians Uniform. Heckyll has some blue highlights and has some hints of purple as well. As for gold rangers like Daggeron, Antonio, Sir Ivan, Levi, Nate and Aiyon wearing either white, tan or brown, there are some gold or yellowish highlights on their clothing. As for Tarrick wearing Black instead of Purple, the color of Void Knight, there are some purple highlights on his clothing and sometimes purple is a substitute glowing color for black.
wow it's really interesting when Este explains things about Power Rangers that no one thought of doing before. It really helps you understand the show better. Btw my favorite color is black 👍
what to add: a) breaking the mold of girly-girl Pink rangers would for sure be Vida from Mystic Force and Rose from Operation Overdrive (Shelby wouldn't even have crossed my mind, compared to Jen, Vida and Rose) b) RPM Gold and Silver were siblings (twins actually), not besties also, c) Crimson and Navy from Ninja Storm could actually be seen as slightly darker or more intense counterparts to their respective "lighter" color rangers (Red and Blue). We all know that between Hunter and Blake it was Hunter who charged in head-first and Blake tried to reason with his brother. But they had some darker, more mysteriuos undertones, too, like their ranger colors would suggest.
Forgetting for a second that Justin was a kid: He was quite literally a genius, and was usually the one to suss out that Divatox was up to some shenanigans. His social ineptitude came from being a kid, rather than being a nerd. Justin was actually a pretty solid Blue in most ways except being "second in command." But he was generally a serious character that dealt with serious subjects. At the time, he was the first Ranger dealing with familial issues - you know. Dead mom, and a dad that literally let him live in an orphanage the majority of his screen time and the _years_ prior. Lol.
Fun fact: Emily from Samurai is actually a little sister, she has an older sister who was originally going to be the yellow ranger. The older sister got ill making her unfit to be the yellow ranger thus making Emily the new yellow ranger.
Wolf ranger in jungle was the first purple rangers in the shows but it would to see more colorful rangers in future like a Indigo blue one like my phone🧊🧊.

Tommy is also a symbol of such a thing, as he was evil when Rita controlled him to be the evil Green Ranger, and he re-emerged as the White Ranger in Mighty Morphin'.
Is it to much to ask for a male pink ranger and a female red ranger. orange as well as white or a multicolored one like rainbow or blue-green or red-white-blue

I feel like Trini was a perfect example for the yellow Ranger tbh I always felt her warmth and happiness
She was great, sad she is gone
R i p thuy tran
she was meek, strength under control. beautiful and brave, she showed me at least you could be rough and tough with the boys and still be feminine
Blue
I think why Red, Blue and Yellow appear in every series is because (in art) they are primary colours
Honestly I find it weird that green doesn't show up in all of them.
But I imagine they might want to use green screens for some scenes and having a Green Ranger would make everything harder.
@@ReiCaixaactually red and blue are a must-have colours
I want you to do the purple, white, Orange, brown Rangers
Black and Violet meaning corruption that can be purified? Reminds me of Koragg from Mystic Force
RJ is definitely one of my favorite rangers ever
Your description for purple, makes me think more about how it would have been nice to see Karone(Astronema) be the purple ranger during the In Space season.
I think brown, maroon, or Turquoise could work.
*Red* is the Colour that represents *Bravery* and *Justice,* Key Traits of a PR Team Leader. It also embodies the *Element of Fire.*
Red Rangers have the essential role of keeping their team In-Synch, as the most common tactic Villains use is to _seperate a Leader from their Team,_ and tear those teammates apart as tensions flare without them. They will also have to handle any *Personal Issues with Relatives or Colleagues* if they have any, as those things _usually find a way_ of directing them towards *the Fate of a Ranger.*
*Blue* is the Colour that represents *Wisdom and/or Intelligence,* and Cool-headedness in the heat of Battle. It can also embody the *Elements of Water or Ice.*
When embodying *Intelligence,* a Blue Ranger will often have less Physical Fighting skill, and will need to rely upon *Strategy, Weaponry* and _sometimes even Luck_ to keep up with the rest of the Team.
*Yellow* is the Colour that represents *Solidarity,* and a *Finely-Honed Body or Mind.* It also often embodies the *Element of Earth.* They will often be able to _hold a Team together_ in dire straits, but can sometimes be *Tempermental when under Stress.*
*Green* represents *Potential,* and the *Element of Nature.* Rangers given this Colour require *Personal Growth,* and are usually _pushed harder than the rest of the Team_ - this will benefit them greatly, *if they can endure.*
While often strong or skilled in their own right, _with the right guidance_ they can reach *Grand New Heights.* It's no surprise that this member _is often targeted by Evil Forces,_ as they are *vulnerable to Corruption* early in their Training, and can be a *Villain's Strongest Weapon,* or their *Worst Nightmare,* depending upon _who they swear allegiance to..._
*Black* represents *Resourcefulness,* and can display numerous Strengths and Talents when necessary, and can occasionally embody the *Element of Earth.*
It also represents *a Troubled Soul* that needs to be _steered in the Right Direction._ Black is commonly associated with *Darkness,* and the Skills they have often come from _a shady past_ - this past is something they *will need to face and overcome* to reach their full potential.
*The Specialist Colours* are what I'd call the following, as they are almost always used for *Sixth and Extra Rangers,* and are not represented in the *Hierarchy of the Morphin' Masters.*
*Gold* embodies the *Element of Lightning,* and often represents _a Rich or Noble Theme._
*Silver* often represents *Speed,* and the _Theme of Technology._
These two Colours are *Stronger when on their own, or Versatile when paired together* - Teams usually contain _One Variant or the Other._ Gold Rangers usually have powers *tied to the Past* - Silver Rangers, *to the Future.* When as a Pair, their *Teamwork and Synchronicity* is vital to _their effectiveness in Battle._
*White* is Strongest when embodying the *Element of Light,* but can also play a lesser role with the *Element of Ice or Air.*
If embodying Light, is often the only time a Red Ranger can _be outranked_ as Team Leader. These Rangers have an *Indomitable Will,* and innate *Resilience against Evil Forces.* Few and far between because they _are considered Overpowered with few Flaws,_ and are thus used in this role *Very Rarely.*
In Lesser Roles, they can be used as Primary Team Members in similar standing to a Pink Ranger, or as Powerful, though sometimes unreliable *Extra Rangers.* Not very Common in either case...
I’m mildly infuriated that Zane got left out for silver rangers

I thought he was the white ninja from Ninjago
i totally agree i thought he would have been the first one mentioned
This moment deserves more likes.
Also, I now realize I'm probably a green ranger so thanks for that. 🫶
Yeah... the blue rangers basically being the 2nd leader of the group is consistent between both Super Sentai and Power Rangers. And actually one of the most recent Blue Rangers in Super Sentai, Saru Brother from DonBrothers, fits the calm and collected motif(dude constantly says Haikus and rarely ever gets money due to it being a corrupting force).
Rest in Power to the greatest Ranger of them all, once a Ranger always a Ranger! 💚🤍❤️♥️🖤
Basically:
⛑Red: The Leader
📘Blue: The Brains
😁Yellow: The Smile
🧌Green/Black: The Muscle
💖Pink: The Sweetheart
🕊6th Color: The Redeemed/Savior
Orange is my personal favourite colour, and I would love it if we could get an official Orange Ranger one day, as part of the main team too. Also, a personal thing, but I would really enjoy it if we could get a female Red Ranger one day. I know Samurai had Lauren, but she was only present for 5 episodes, and I felt they didn't do enough with her character. We've kind of had female team leaders before, Jen from Time Force, so I just think it would cool, unique and fun if the leader and red ranger for a whole series could be a girl. There's lots of potential the writers could explore with it.
ToQger has an orange ranger called ToQ7 who's the sixth of that team.
@@Ziko577 oh that's pretty neat. always was a little disappointed they didn't adapt that Sentai for PR
A female red ranger would be cool yeah, I'm also hoping for a female sixth ranger that doesn't come with a male ranger like they did in RPM
@@dutchguy977Super Samari kind of had one in Lauren
Jason- Bold and powerful
Zack- Clever and Brave
Kimberly- Graceful and smart
Billy- Patient and wise
Trini- Fearless and Agile
Tommy- Growth and potential
Tommy-Headstrong and passionate, there you go
What about White? alternate shades of red of blue are kind of similar to their main counterparts. Both the Goruiger and Houou Soldier’s powers are ancient and were sealed for a long time-so there’s that
@@Justhere377 Tommy was a leader who became a father and Udonna is a mentor that had son who became the leader. Both actors have now passed on now

The most compassionate in either gender
💚Green: The wild card of the group, but usually labeled the comic relief.
I need more orange rangers, there's so little of em
This is true. I used to make my own Rangers as a kid. I looked into Dinosaurs when PR came out and made my own Orange Ranger. We for sure need more. I get hype seeing them.
There's Sasori Orange from Kyuranger and Zyouh Bird from Zhyouhger.

The beige ranger would be the team accountant or administrator. The officious one that makes sure everyone has signed their waivers.

That phrase makes no sense white is a colour too and lets say it isnt then neither is black
I'd go for platinum being the colour of a full grid ranger given it's a lustrous metallic white colour.
Colour truly is a massive part in Power Rangers heck the leadership in Wild Force went to Cole from Taylor just because he was red well the mentor in that season wasnt a great mentor. Rip Jason David Frank💚⚪🔴⚫
Very interesting he didn’t use Billy as the original blue ranger nerd.
The original blue ranger was a geek but still quietly served as a decision maker for the team ......I think quite a few follow on series have tried to capture this and just get geek right
I would posit that Dino Charge Graphite, being a color related to a common mineral ending up with a literal prince would be more related humility. The Prince had to really learn how to be a noble hero before the Energem bonded with him
Isn’t it kind of ironic that even though gold rangers represent rarity, they were used a lot in the samurai two Dino charge and ninja steel seasons.
Awesome video 👍 Este thanks for another ranger update and each ranger color is different just like a rainbow but I still like it E-Squad

There should be more Purple Power Rangers 🟣🟣🟣
Yes in fact Rj is the first purple ranger in Power rangers with a Violet Wolf color🐺🐺.
"I'M SCOTTISH" Flynn has got to be my favorite blue ranger. Loved every second when he was on screen

it took me a minute to register the "rest in peace" message... then I googled it...
Green can be the kid trying to prove themselves, the sensible one like Zander or in other instances a lone wolf.
why u spoiling the video 😭
Pink and or White can be the heart of the group i wouldn't say princess but the one that is the most empathetic and caring of the group.

when it comes to Dino Charge (or at least Kyoryuger), the reason there's no Yellow Ranger that was given was because of Yellow being associated to female Rangers in past years up to that point, & dinosaurs being something that needed a more masculine team

I've followed este since the beginning... E Squad baby ... in my opinion Este has always been very respectful when it comes to bad news In the community.. I have alot of respect for him not dropping videos just for the clicks he will cover it on his own time plus .. he is a die hard fan just like most of us so of course he us feeling it just as hard as most of us
thanks for understanding
@@hiEste of course brother anytime we all need to support each other when something like this happens ... RIP 🙏 JDF now you can be the white range and a send to heaven to look over all of us ... May the power protect you
Zack had an un orthodox fighting style and was a bit of a wild card
Hip-hop Kido!!
4:04 "I'M SCOTTISH"😂😂
That HAS to be the best line of all rpm 😂😂
what to add: a) breaking the mold of girly-girl Pink rangers would for sure be Vida from Mystic Force and Rose from Operation Overdrive (Shelby wouldn't even have crossed my mind, compared to Jen, Vida and Rose)
b) RPM Gold and Silver were siblings (twins actually), not besties
also, c) Crimson and Navy from Ninja Storm could actually be seen as slightly darker or more intense counterparts to their respective "lighter" color rangers (Red and Blue).
Blue has always represented, in my opinion, bravery like red, but also means supportive and calm, collected and knowledgeable. It also means handsome!
Crimson=mixture of red & black
Bavy=mixture of blue & black
My Brother, You're takin' tha Hippie theme to a whole other Level.
Rj as the violet ranger was pefect omg david letour made rj such a cool and laid backass and i swear his character had a stash a weed hidden in his chair that why he would have a fit if someone sat in it cause he didnt want them messing it up and was probaly saving some for dom and some after his work in jungle karma pizza lol
One of my favorite characters from Jungle he has Spin fury and Wolf beam that cuts up monsters like Swiss cheese plus his costume is very Spiderman like🕸️🕸️.
Yup plus im sorry but he is a weedhead like shaggy was in scooby doo which is funny lol
@@Naruto0s44 I don't know about he looks kinda like a cool chill guy like the ones who surfs on the Waves with cool surf boards to do dangerous stunts⛱️⛱️.
In Star Wars, a white lightsaber symbolizes a previously corrupted soul returning to the light.
Trent is all I have to say about that.
Tommy is also a symbol of such a thing, as he was evil when Rita controlled him to be the evil Green Ranger, and he re-emerged as the White Ranger in Mighty Morphin'.
the editing in this video made me laugh so hard this was such a treat to watch
I think Dustin from ninja storm is a noteworthy yellow ranger bring the heart of the season and really embodies the points you brought up
Rip Jason David Frank 💚🤍❤️❤️🖤
Is it to much to ask for a male pink ranger and a female red ranger. orange as well as white or a multicolored one like rainbow or blue-green or red-white-blue
Red and blue are among my favorite Power Ranger colors.
Surprised when you talked about blue rangers being serious you didn’t bring up Kevin from Samurai. He was extremely serious to the point of being severely uptight.
