- Hi You Tube Friends, this is my cover of "The Fletcher Memorial Home" SOLO from the Album "The Final Cut" by Pink Floyd. Hope it can help anyone who wants to try it... I fall in love with this solo from the first time I heard it!

One of Gilmour's sweetest solos and definitely my favorite. Nice job!
Nice one. This solo encompasses Gilmour's ability to explore the whole fretboard and deliver that thick soulful tone that's so unmistakably Floydian.

I’ve always loved this solo. Love the attack that Dave gives it... especially when shutting down the notes and sliding down the neck. Most people have not heard it so when you try to share how wondrous it is with others they stare blankly at you.

Fantastic. I am learning this now. The time breaks are not intuitive. You nailed every nuance of this solo to perfection. If Roger Waters want to do a Final Cut tour, you are the man to do the job.

I know the Final Cut is far from one of PF's most popular albums (it's actually my favorite for some reason), but David's solos on that album are just amazing. So heart-wrenching.

SEI LETTERALMENTE IMPRESSIONANTE, non ho mai sentito una riproduzione così fedele di un assolo di Gilmour. Non sono musicista ma ho la fortuna di avere un udito sopraffino e a quanto vedo anche tu perché sei riuscito a notare nell'assolo tutte le sfumature che lo rendono unico.. e riprodurle al 100%. Ciao Maurizio, complimenti, è praticamente uguale anche nel suono. Ma il multieffetto lo usi anche dal vivo? Immagino sia un po' complicato da programmare. E' completamente digitale?
hey man, first i m gilmour fan since i play guitar, confortably numb is probably the most emotional solo ever!! now theres not much to say about your guitar-skills because the fact that you're covering. my advice for you is that i think you could bring more emotions or maybe better more of youre own style to play, mostly it gives a new spirit to it, and i m sure that you gonna have more fun too ;-)
I really appreciate your invitation to write and play my own music, it encourages me to do it!!! ... and I can say that I already have several ideas and some songs ... so now I need 'only' to complete the recordings and publish ... thanks!

Ciao, grazie a te! Il sustain così spinto viene dall'accoppiata Compressore + Muff, il tono è scolpito con l'aiuto dell'equalizzatore!
Ciao, complimenti per l'esecuzione, stavo valutando l'acquisto di un kemper ma ho un dubbio, dopo aver profilato il suono posso aggiungere pedali esterni come muff, chorus ecc come si fa in un ampli normale? Grazie.
Sul Kemper puoi aggiungere pedali esterni come su un ampli reale, sia prima che dopo con la massima flessibilità e risponde alla perfezione! Comunque gli effetti sono di qualità veramente alta, e posso dirti che alla fine non c'è neanche necessità di usare pedali esterni, il Muff e il Chorus ad esempio, che hai citato, nel Kemper sono di qualità eccezionali...
Thanks, the profile of the HiWatt DR103 comes from The Amp Factory site, it is a commercial one, than I tweaked it with effects and equalizations...

Hi, Maurizio70 Gilmour Fan, could you explain a little bit how you actually recorded all this using Kemper, I really wanna know how to do it but have no idea. Much appreciated
+Jie Yuan Hi, once I created the sound (which is probably the most difficult part) the rest is very simple ... to record I connect the output of the Kemper directly to the Sound Card of my PC and I use a Multitrack SW (DAW) to record guitar part over a backing track.

It is the Kemper Profiling Amplifier. Born in 2012 it is the best digital machine available today in my opinion in terms of amp quality

Grazie! Il "multieffetto" lo uso anche in sala prove e dal vivo (anche se dal vivo non ho molte possibilità x mancanza di tempo) e comunque la resa è assolutamente la stessa. Anche se di fatto lo è ... chiamarlo "multieffetto" è sicuramente riduttivo, il Kemper è l'Invezione del secolo x ogni chitarrista, ed è più facile da programmare tra tutte quelle che ho avuto modo di usare/studiare. E' completamente digitale, ma non è distinguibile dal suono degli ampli reali, provare x credere ... :-)))

Del Kemper posso solo che parlarne ancora meglio io... è di un'altro pianeta rispetto al resto disponibile oggi (solo l'AXE gli tiene testa)... e se sei fortunato a trovarlo, usato lo prendi a 1200 €. Che è comunque veramente poco considerando che replica quasi perfettamente anche ampli da 5.000 € ... e puoi provare e trovare all'infinito ogni profilo di ampli che gli altri faranno nel mondo...:-))
