@@bgable7707Vasoline ( petroleum jelly ) is petroleum based and may not work well applied onto rubber . Oatey and Hercules Duck Butter pipe joint lubricant works well and rubber is not effected .
You can cut off the pinch portion of the clamp with a grinder wheel, then use pliers to open and remove the clamp. Let us know if you have any more questions!
I use the knipex tool to cut through 1 ear, vertically. I try and not bite through the entire fold but rather one side of it. This is a PITA but it works and far better than using a cutting wheel. The copper crimp ring removal tools work great, wish they had one for these style oetikers.

Vasiline, VERY thin layer should work as well.
