Best advice I can give for eating at home…make a double batch so you always have a night off from cooking. If you don’t eat it all, pop it in the freezer in individual containers for quick heat up meals. Changes the game🥰🥰🥰
That's exactly what I do. I cook on Sunday , Tuesday, and Thursday. That made a huge difference in my life, giving me more time with family, and other things. I don't have to be rushing home every night to cook dinner. Cooking 3 times out of 7 became a game changer for me

YES!!! I spend a day making either freezer meals for the oven or for plopping in the crockpot. I also make breakfast burritos & sandwiches for the freezer, I just set one in the fridge at night & BOOM there's ready-made breakfast 🥰🥰 such a game changer for sure ❤

The rest won't even be able to sell at all until the prices drop super low and the government will buy everything up dirt cheap and bulldoze it over to make way for their pet project Smart City 2028, with s@t@nic themed Olympic games performances to boot 😢

In my opinion if you want to grow your main channel two videos per month is not enough. Having a weekly presence in YT, even if it with a shorter video might help you reach further viewers. Just a thought. Hope it helps! 💫

Well duh.... she had to start a family. It was now - or never! She's not young. She is approaching 40! It's a miracle she even had a baby as our fertility slows down after 30. She should hurry up and get another baby, before the window completely shuts. She can build houses well until her menopause years but baby making time is very short

@@ThePlantageNot and fertility goes down after 40, Macenna has few years till then. And giving 2 births less than a year apart is a huge challenge for the body. It is wise to wait another 6-12 months to let the body recover and then keep on going if she still wants it

I don't know why, but watching your cottage videos from 3 and 2 years ago has helped me with my mental health. It's a huge distraction that I need. Ive been subscribed to you for a long time from all your old diys, but I’d pick and choose which of your new uploads I would watch. The videos that made me become a full on fan who never missed a single upload of yours was when you started going to flea markets and estate sales to find vintage items for the cottage. I fell in love with antique oil paintings and brass items because of you and I haven’t missed a single upload from you since, including your main channel.
Had a thought, perhaps you could screen in the side porch at the cottage to minimize the bug bite problem, then in the future you could actually enjoy some outdoor space in Texas and Cade and Kinsley could play there in the future.
It’s going to be a great year for everyone! Out with the old and in with the new. Texas is a great place to raise kids.

I have loved your channel for years now and never miss a video 💕 I’ve been wanting to suggest this for a while but I feel like as an ode to the origins of this channel we deserve a instructional laundry video from Romeo!
In regard to your renovation channel: I know you didn’t ask for opinions, but I just thought I’d mention that even if you did go back to posting renovation videos once a week, I would still find the content exciting even if the project wasn’t completely finished. In the past it seems like there would be multi part renovation videos (maybe I’m remembering incorrectly?) but I enjoyed that too. Then perhaps there wouldn’t be as big of a pressure to hurry and finish the project for the video scheduling sake and we could see the progress on the project, the ups and downs more in real time. For example, the current deck project could be broken down into, sanding and staining as part 1 and styling and unboxing furniture as part 2. I’d be totally down for that, plus it keeps people engaged and anticipating the next video. But maybe that’s more work for you? I definitely understand the importance of work/life balance. I’m just happy we get content at all 😊 I’ve been watching for years and I love both channels so much! ❤

I started watching toward the end of the cottage (I have gone back to watch them all). I can’t begin to express how much joy you bring into my life. When we had our first child, a daughter, we started our own construction business and I wore all of the hats tied to the office. We worked out of our home until the kids girl & boy, Atlas & Kyle) started high school. The reason I covered my back story is that I too raised children working from home.
I applaud the points you made today. 1. Take care of yourself first. Physical, mental and spiritual. 5If you fall, the domino effect tips every other part of your life. Your marriage, your children, your business, your other relationships. 2. As much as you can, have a separated space for working. It’s hard to separate work from life in the same space. It has been different types of spaces in different homes but I place I had to move to and put my work hat on there. Of course it is different than working out of the office. Maybe you are sick, maybe your child is, maybe your child has sports, music, school event. Then the space doesn’t change but your schedule can flex to a different time period.
3. Setting a “Open & Closed” time. It is easy to keep working when something needs to be done or not working at all! Only letting your immediate family change it. Friends or business associates think, “You are home all the time” so it doesn’t matter. It does. Business must happen during business time. People coming over must be in personal time. Set boundaries for yourself and others and stick to it. 4. Schedule time for your husband! With children added into the mix, it’s easy to say, “We work from home so we’re always together. Not good enough. You both need to have time apart from children, home, work to have your relationship. If right now, that can only happen once a month, schedule it and stick with it. If your marriage falls apart or is taken for granted, EVERYTHING crashes. I’ve seen it happen to so many business marriage/partnerships. 5. Spend one on one time with each child. Now, that is easier than it will be when they are in school, activities and have their own friends. Openly share your hopes, dreams, how you plan or think things through, even difficulties with each other. If you treat them with respect and are open with them, then when they need it, you want them to come to YOU for advice or to talk things through. You need to start young, not when you feel there is a problem.

I started watching whilst you were at the cottage, i was telling my daughter in law about someone i was watching on RUclips and she said oh you'd love xo maCenna,fast forward to you announcing your pregnancy, there we were all teary eyed,when my son said laughing, are you two crying at some stranger on RUclips? In tandem we both said No ,its maCenna ,shes pregnant and we're over the moon, you've become part of the family ,so from our family to yours wishing you every success for 2025 ❤
I too felt like Macenna was part of the family and was just as moved when she announced the pregnancy. It's amazing how that happens!

When I set my yearly goals I add them to my first Saturday of every month. It helps me remember, reflect, and adjust if priorities change or I have new goals. ❤ I’m so excited for the Cottage Days I hope Texas doesn’t get another ice storm in February if you fly in before spring.
