I can't say enough good about this recording. The arrangement is outstanding. Sarah's lush, airy voice is perfect in so many ways. Hermine's improvisation is amazing. The musicianship is top notch.

My God, we have touched Beauty and Grace in epitomy. This is surely one of the most beautiful renditions around (that's not knocking the others). The symbiosis between these wonderful talented musicians is nothing less than breathtaking, because it's all so natural. Sarah's voice- angelic, and Hermine's spellbinding harmonica must have Toots, RIP, smiling warmly from above. I could simply draw my last breath after listening to this. These beautiful souls have measured me that the world is not yet doomed; there are divine young souls out there, making this world, still, a beautiful place. God bless. I'm just wondering if Sarah is not the daughter of a certain Doug MacKenzie who had a fantastic RUclips channel. I bought his piano method book. Excellent musician with phenomenal musical ideas.
Love the French accents…tres bien! Also, hats off to the harmonica and whistling performance in the true spirit of toots! Your voice reminds me of Karrin Allyson with a French accent, so beautiful!

A top quality performance in every way, and Hermine's chromatic harmonica solo is one of the best I've ever heard! My only mild disappointment came from hearing an incredible jazz waltz like Bluesette played in Common instead of 3/4 time. An interesting twist on the original version to say the least, but as someone who's never heard a waltz (classical or jazz) he didn't like, I'd prefer hearing a song written in common time transitioned into 3/4 time... rather than the other way around. The world could use more waltzes to enjoy. 🙂
