Thank G-D I don't have any of these mistakes in my shot I used to dip my shoulder but I worked on it everyday for a couple months and now I don't dip my shoulder thank you Ryan
@@antoniopusateri I wish. Most of them are 40 minutes out and a lot of fitness gyms don't have courts near me. I used to be able to hoop at a local college but graduated a long time ago.
Hey, I cant pronate my forearm past 50 degrees and so it makes it hard to get my fingers in the right position to shoot. How do I get good at shooting with this impairment or am I just screwed??
Do you have any tips for helping prevent feet colliding at the top of the shot? Wanting to help some of my players with it but can’t find anything on yt
Coach, my issue is the dip in my shoulder. It isn't as bad as the thing you show here but it just makes my shot feel awkward. The problem came when I started shooting the ball from the right side of my face. I have recorded myself everyday, asked coaches on how to fix it but it just won't go away.
coach please help. i’ve come off a knee injury recently and began playing again, but it’s been about 2 months and i’ve recovered-ish. the only issue is i used to be a 3 point shooter and now i don’t even take open shots because ive completely lost the power to shoot a 3. i don’t even remmeber how to get it in from 3 point line because every shot i need to exert so much force now, i don’t know if this is related to an imbalance in my stance cuz of my knee, or ive judt forgotten the mechanics to shooting that far. can you help?
If I am sideways with my feet, like 11ish you mentioned in the video, isn't it better cause your elbow, shoulders will point straight to the rim, as where being squared your elbow isn't straight alined to the rim
It's not about elbow pointing straight at the ring. You want the snap of the wrist to be straight back to front and comfortable. Depending on individual body mechanics results in different elbow positions.
Hi Ryan, i would just like to know if there is any benefit in practicing in a basketball court with a ring that is 12foot in height? and what are the disadvantages? thanks i would really appreciate your expert opinion
There’s really no advantage. Maybe you could develop arc but other than that no, not really. You will have different mechanics than shooting on regulation rim.
Hi Ryan, my question is, how do you think on being confortable? Kobe bryant that copied all mj moves coudn't copy his set point because it didnt felt right to him, tell me what you think on that.
Coach, i shoot getting really down on my knees, like a squat, This makes me really slow and i don't know how to shoot over defenders, Is This an error? Should i correct that or i have Just to become faster?
typicalsteve 86 you shouldn’t squat fully, actually squatting too much even decreases the power of your shot. A quarter ways to a swat is ideal. Plus try lifting your heels up.
I have a problem with jumping to far forward. I’m pretty sure it’s because my hips lunge forward and my feet come with my hips. How do I fix that it’s really annoying. Also, how does it effect my shot? Sorry for commenting so late. Although, I would really appreciate it if you could respond
0:35 Curry also puts the ball a bit up when he is going downwards... Is this really an issue because im kinda doing the same as Curry, bringing the ball up while I am going down a bit.
Hey coach i just want to ask what i need to do to improve my game sometimes in game i have good game but at the next game i have a bad game how can i maintain that every game im in a good game? And also i just want to ask if you know the problem in my game i am a shooter in practice game but when the game starts i am in a bad rythem of shoot why?
When shooting be conscious of your form. When shooting just think: “Are my feet aligned, elbow under ball” I.e. also try recording your jumpsuit in practice and during games. You may notice mistakes.
Not coach but ball spin helps a lot, even when you miss swishing a shot, a ball with good spin has a good chance of bouncing in. It greatly increases the chance of scoring. Looking at the rim wise, lots of players have different opinions on this. I think you should play around a see what your comfortable with.
Are you sure that if I start close with my new form I will gain power because i changed my form because someone claimed the ball wasnt above my head and now I cant shoot for anything and its so depressing
Coach, to become a great shooter does it ONLY take hard work or is it needed to change my form? I’m bricking 15 footers and mid-range a lot and I’m not really including threes in my workout. If I shoot hundreds and hundreds of shots even if I’m missing will I progressively get better or should I change my form for faster results?
Ankl3z so inconsistent form. Try finding what suits you best and remember to keep it the same always. Form workouts would help, there are many good RUclips workouts ya know.
From a guy that’s been in the gym for countless hours and shoots over 40% in game from 3...the most common problem I see ppl make is offhand interference😐
When your feet are aligned to the basket how u said they should be, is it natural to have them then turn to the left? Cause when I shoot my hips turn in midair and then when I land they end up turned
Ryan Razooky Basketball ok cool. And by the way, as soon as I started lining up to the basket I made like every shot during warmups, so thanks for that lol
Ryan Razooky Basketball “as square as possible” makes no sense from a biomechanical perspective. Almost all great shooters turn. Especially when they land.
Tobias Kraft I turn a little bit, and if your right foot is forward if you shoot righty relieves some pressure. My lower body also turns in midair when I shoot, which is just natural
Always glad I can help you guys! Make sure to follow on Instagram / Tik Tok @R2bball
My coach told me to shoot like that 0:30...
Your jumper is textbook! And it’s really impressive how you can shoot well with both hands.

Can u talk about how to raise the set point without having a two motion jump shot
Can u do a shooting form video on a 2-way shot? ( The one MJ or Kobe used)

i have the same thing dont worry its normal
1:46 is how cash nasty used to shoot
My hand is on the side of the ball and I have a palm rotation shot like steph Curry’s shot. I should change it?
Ace Reloads less movement is always better
With a low set point it's hard for me to do fadeaways and turn around jumpers over a defender, what should I do?
Either you can’t shoot those shots or you have to raise it for those shots
Hi Ryan, my question is, how do you think on being confortable? Kobe bryant that copied all mj moves coudn't copy his set point because it didnt felt right to him, tell me what you think on that.

I have some problems with my shot mainly shooting the ball in front of my chin and not extending my shooting arm
Dazzle Lapidario if you know what your issues are then do form shooting daily to fix them
0:35 Curry also puts the ball a bit up when he is going downwards... Is this really an issue because im kinda doing the same as Curry, bringing the ball up while I am going down a bit.
