LVE this. My mother made her own in a blender, she would have LOVED the stick. Less to clean up. less to pry out of the blender. My hubby just helped make this, I had to show him instructions as I am disabled right now and can't walk around and gather ingredients. He was so -pleased,

Perfect! This is the real mayonnaise, with only these ingredients (no mustard, no pepper!) just like my mother taught me (she makes it with a fork and a flat dish only, no blender). I suggest to avoid the vinegar and stick to a little lemon juice instead.
Since the chefs were using 1 egg yolk to 1 cup of oil I changed mine to the way she made hers with 1 egg to 3/4 oil (avocado in this try). It came out perfect for my first time. I like a salad dressing compared to mayo so am experimenting adding sugar. Currently grainy...maybe simple syrup a small amount add in. Not sure yet.

west coaster not necessarily using NO mayonnaise could just reduce the amount of it (and it is cheaper to do so). Just a more efficient way of doing it.

I usually make two eggs and add a teaspoon of Russian mustard. I choose a neutral oil because sunflower or olive oil gives a bitter aftertaste. I choose corn or mustard seed oil. Mayonnaise can be made as thick as you like. Paradoxically, the more oil you add, the thicker the mayonnaise will be.
Every video I saw asked for yolk (no white) and wanted the oil added later, very slowly. Carefully. For some reason. Here it's whole egg, everything together from the start, bam. If I learned something about cooking is "learn the procedure but basically do whatever the heck you want", I guess. If this works I'll be MORE than happy. lol
Can the raw egg in the mayo be cooked after the completion of the mayonnaise sauce? Like putting it in the steam oven to make sure that the raw ingredients such as the eggs are cooked before serving it?
Its the Eve of our Passover Holiday. All mayonnaise on the shelves is gone, This recipe worked perfectly, the only thing was that the hand mixer got very hot, maybe because I doubled the ingredients. Thank you very much

oh my god, I cant believe it worked. This is the first time I tried something on youtube and it worked 100% just like the video. I notice that the mayonnaise I made turned out to be runny. So I put more oil, and it fcking worked. it became thicker as I put a little bit more oil. just like store bought mayo. I use a normal blender and palm oil, omg, I cant believe it worked.

Its because the blender was at bottom and egg ,and oil at top its like the oil was added slowly by not moving the blender till it stats to thicken
