In general, people tells me I am smart guy. I really like talking about science and curious facts and I always shows a really logical way of seeing things. But I never really felt like a smart person. I see how everyone is so skillful in dealing with life but I am just not able to do the same as the rest. If it is true that I am smart, I think this video could reflect exactly what I struggle and how your own "rational" or "intellectual" world view makes it harder to connect with people, be successful in basic things, etc.
As a creative and intelligent person, I’m inclined to say it depends on your environment. Ultimately, most thing do. If you’re treated very well due to your creativity and intelligence, it might ultimately set you up for failure, and too much neglect can leave you a bipolar schizophrenic mess, so as is the case with all things, balance is key. Now, you can recover in later life from either extreme in your youth but this will ultimately depend on your answer to a simple thing: am I or are others responsible for my inner self? If you’re capable of detach and take responsibility for yourself, you may rise but if you keep on blaming others, you either end up committing edicius⬅️ or becoming a destroyer, punishing self and others until you eventually die a lonely and sad death. Ultimately, the human condition is tough for everyone.
This is something that drives me crazy because I do feel like I see the world in layers and I try to see the connective tissue between all things and I feel like most people don't do that. And I come across more as being a wacko or even unintelligent when I'm saying something that is hard for other people to wrap their minds around. My biggest problem is is I don't always know if I'm actually right with my complex thinking which makes me unsure which makes me sound unconfident which makes people doubt what I say even more lol.
