Geoff's personal channel is not full a cappella. He's said that whether he wants to arrange something as a cappella, it goes to VoicePlay. If he wants to add additional music/sound, he keeps it on his personal channel. He played harmonica on Folsom Prison Blues. I really enjoy the extra music - he keeps so spare and beautiful. I agree - I LOVE his tenor.

As others have said, Geoff's solo channel isn't a cappella. All of his songs have included instrumental accompaniment, usually fairly light, but Geoff reserves his a cappella arrangements for VoicePlay.
The extremely low note that you were going on about fairly early is not Geoff's voice, it is something else - I don't know exactly what he used to generate that note. Geoff provides an instrumental track of his music for his Patrons, and that extremely low note is included on the instrumental track, so it's not vocal.
FYI: Geoff just released the third song in his dwarven songs from The Hobbit and LotR, Song of Durin. There is a surprise waiting for you in that song, and you will be able to hear a lot more of his higher register in that one - it's a beautiful arrangement and performance, and well worth reacting to!

Geoff says he keeps his Acapella for VoicePlay. In his videos he plays piano, guitar and harmonica. He also uses plugins.

Definitely Not just A Cappella with Jeff. Check out his channel, it will be an awakening so to speak. Nice reaction.

Geoff's harmonies are phenomenal, I love the crunch chords he adds. He will always pay homage to the original but will never make a copycat version. He has said, Why do something that someone else has already done? He plays the piano and harmonica, he knows a few chords on the guitar, but not well enough to play it. All of his instrumentals are written by him and played on a keyboard using I forget what program. If you check the credits in the description you will find that very rarely is anyone else is involved unless he needs lighting, steadicam or makeup. Layne, Voiceplay's beatboxer, did the camera work in this one and Eli, Voiceplay's tenor, did the lighting.
    Great reaction!

Thanks for this reaction! I'm always here for VoicePlay or Geoff reactions.
Geoff came out with a new one this past Saturday (Sept. 21st) that is epic. VoicePlay is dropping another wonderful Disney villain tune this coming Friday (Sept. 27th).

The deep bass booms in the beginning are electronic sub hits. In his solo work he doesn’t typically do background or foundational bass sounds like he would for VoicePlay.

Geoff singing solo is not acapella. He does instruments and sounds using Native Instruments plugin and a keyboard.
He has a couple of shorts showing how he does it and a screen of the plugin. Especially after he did "Man of Constant Sorrow" when he was asked many times (me included) if he was actually playing the guitar. So he did a short answering that question.
The only time he does acapella is with Voiceplay.
Geoff released his new video last Friday the 20th..... Song of Durin.
The dwarves returned with a friend.
It is absolutely understandably epically beautiful.
Voiceplay will release their new video this Friday the 27th..... Be Prepared.
    Geoff makes an awesome Scar.
    It is really good.

Just Geoff is usually not A Capella. All instruments on his channel are quite often him as well. Sometimes plug-ins through his keyboard. He does also play guitar and harmonica. On his channel, all vocals are him.

I would love to hear you react to Geoff's version of the song Shenandoah. He did the cover for his wife Kathy. It is so beautiful and his range is incredible. I think you'd like it

Any voice you hear on a Geoff solo video is Geoff. The only exception I can think of is Kathy's scream in Monster Mash. He plays piano and uses plug-ins for the other instruments and sounds, as varied as Cosmic Kick drum (Ghost Riders) to a clanking metal gate and shovel hitting sand (I See Fire). Unshaken has over 100 tracks of vocals, music, and sounds. He tends not to sing the bass continuo line, like he does in a VP song, in his solos, and will use a plug-in as needed.

If I may steal a word from another reactor, this song is not only about emotion, it's about the ambience.
Geoff's solo work is not a capella. He also is known to use rather unique instrumentation. For example, this has a helicopter I'm the instrumentation.

Geoff's solo work usually isn't acapella. But he does all the vocals and layers them together.

First time I've heard him sing this, sorry guys not impressed. I think he's sacrificed the song for just doing the real low notes.

Clearly you've never heard the old Diddy about if you have nothing nice to say, just don't say anything. Shame. It's ok to say something negative but generally it's polite only to do so if you point out something nice too.

Geoff has a way of reaching deep down into your soul like no one else can. It's not all bass either.
