While I don't disagree that there is an element of Adam failing his duty towards Eve, I can't find in either Scripture or Tradition that sin entered the world through anything but disobedience - Eve's and Adam's both. Eve didn't disobey because Adam "failed to protect her", she disobeyed through her own free will, right?
I know this is a thing that men do. And it’s inspiring, but I struggle with this with my man. He’s the consummate gentleman protector, but I love him so much I don’t want him putting himself in harm’s way. I would rather die than see him get hurt because he was protecting me. I don’t let him lift heavy things for me (unless he puts his hands on his hips sighs and rolls his eyes) because he’s so precious you take care of the precious things in your life.❤
