Word of warning Jim from someone who's had experiences with these things. NEVER get any of these devices if they're sold on Aliexpress. They're pretty much the exact same just in different cases. They have pretty much the exact same structures and issues. The PS1 issues you pointed out are a classic case of this.
So, waking up, going to RUclips, I clicked on the RUclips app on my FireStick, and I'm seeing RUclips recommending this very video. I'm like Super Console X, WTF is this? So clicked on it. And yeah, does sound interesting and all, but kinda have a feeling I'm already in a better position when it comes to ROMs and Emulators myself. 4 10TB External Drives, Retro Style GamePads, and an Alienware PC to run it all. So yeah, probably only thing they could really offer is a nice little cute box and cool looking menu screen. 😉😂🤣 Anyways, did enjoy this video, even decided to subscribe, thank you, and keep up the good work.
Much appreciated. This thing is really only for people who don't have the money and or tech savvy for a setup like yours, but even then I'd still recommend just putting together a raspberry pi or something similar.
I have one of those too. Some games worked fine but I noticed a few didn't load up at all. Just an error screen. I mostly bought mine for all the Street Fighter and beat em up games.
Same, I couldn't recommend buying it because there were a number of games that either didn't work or had significant bugs.

Should be a good gift for someone who isn't tech savvy but wants to play retro games. Just warn them first about those PS1 games lol 🤣
Exactly, it'd be great for someone who might just want to play the SNES games or some arcade games but won't be putting together their own raspberry pi or something similar.
Alot of these pre loaded systems have music and cinematics missing to save on memory space.
I have one of these. It's a good option for those wanting a plug-and-play device for old games, although joystick configurations in Retroarch are definitely not that easy.
Also, for anything above PS1(N64 included), performance and compatibility starts to be problematic.
Anything below that, as far as I've tested, you're good to go.
About the included controllers, I just couldn't stand it. Too cheap. If you're on a budget, Logitech F310 should suit you well.
PS: The games are probably in portuguese because Kinhank copied the image of the system from a Brazilian project and just put their logo on it.
That's entirely possible lol, I feel like these things aren't uniform as I've heard different info regarding the ROMs working or not working correctly on different individual machines.
I agree it's perfect for lazy people or anyone who is not tech savvy but it's easier to play and installed on PC. For me don't need it I have Lemuroid on my android phone to play Handheld games and I have Retroarch to play retro consoles games on my Xbox One.

Great review here mate & I'm wondering if that Super Console X really has a good library of old license Capcom games like The Punisher, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, & others that haven't been released yet because of those BS bloody license issues here!

Ehh, this is a hard pass for me. I know these things aren't gonna be perfect but there were too many issues with it for me to consider thinking about getting something like that. I'm capable of making my own emulation stations anyway so I have no essential need for it but for those who aren't tech savvy, this is not a good starter product especially with how disorganized and badly setup the roms and emulators are. And as you've said, who is gonna play 100,000 roms especially when about half of that is basically shovelware? The only positive is the price and the relatively easy UI to set up something of your own...that's it and even with that going for it, I can save up a couple more bucks to organize something similar with FAR better performance.

You hit the nail on the head, you don't need this if you can find the time to download your own ROMs and emulators.
I have one of those Lol it cant run super mario rpg (snes) well at all but Crazy Taxi Dreamcast works so smoothly on it!!
That's odd, all of the SNES games work just fine on mine. Maybe these things aren't exactly uniform.
Try changing the emulator for this specific game

An underrated arcade gem for sure, Konami was on fire in the mid 90's.
I am the kind of person that falls into the latter category. I really don’t know too much when it comes to tech and emulators and such. So this sounds like something I would be interested in, especially for that price. Is this like one of those plug and play consoles that plug directly into a TV or do I need a PC/ laptop? Did it have a fighting game called ‘Martial Masters’? Thanks for the help.

I think something like this is okay for someone who is interested in retro games but doesn't want to really get involved. I think authentic is the way to go, but that is a deep hole to dive into requiring all kinds of knowledge/research. I think even a PC or Raspberry would be better. Again, you'd have to know a lot of other stuff to have a good time. For a guy that _only_ knows "I wanna play old games" this may be alright. I dunno if that's your audience though. Not your fault, you got paid. Good on ya, man.
Yeah, this isn't for anyone that has the time to assemble their own raspberry pi or something similar. Also, I wasn't paid, but I was allowed to keep the console so that counts as paid promotion to me.

HI ty for the video. Can you help me I wanted to ask a quick question. I just got my unit tonight and hooked up but the controler does not seem to really work right . I figured it would work out of box and I would just have to figure out which button did what. I wanted to ask, Should the controllers work on almost every game or do you have to re-program the buttons for every game or every game maker
You can remap the controller in the system options, but I didn't have any issues with the controller not working. Then again, I only used it for about two hours before switching to my usual PC controller.
wow okay the playstation stuff on this is super weird! between the missing audio/cutscens and the *BRAZILLIAN* versions of the ROMs? I wonder if these can be added to /replaced with the proper versions? (especially in the case of the demo version of sonic adventure 2, like why?!) seems like it's hit or miss with most of the more powerful stuff? guess it really depends on what you're looking for with this thing.
You can delete and download ROMs at you leisure, but if you're going to do that you might as well just take the extra bit of time and assemble your own little emulator box.
This stuff is aggravating because I understand it's not for people like me, but there are SO MANY OPTIONS for playing ROMs that I have trouble figuring out who it is for when it has this many problems. Like, by all accounts, Anbernic (for example) makes a much better version of this that's also portable.

They probably ripped the Wav files from the PS1 ISOs to save space and get all those games on it.
That makes sense. I haven't bothered to examine the files, but needless to say I was disappointed to boot up Tekken 3 and play to dead silence. I let them know about the issue and they gave me some word salad.
I watched another person review and tekken 3 and crash have soundtrack. Maybe the person you bought it from removed it but not the company that created it.

These types of devices are great for those who want 1000's of games in one small package. But for me i'd rather play an N64 game with an N64 controller and a PS1 game with a PS1 controller, and an arcade game in TATE mode. Even the professional builds very rarely if ever get it right all the time. But yeah, most people buying it would be casual goers with games, not serious. For $30, you can't complain really. I'm jealous of how small it is though, its a lot smaller than my humble collection for sure.

I just want all my 80's and 90's games anything after 2000 sucks. I'm a gen X, we had the best games.
You'd probably get a lot of enjoyment out of this thing then, the 8-bit and 16-bit stuff works pretty much without issue, but again you could easily just download all this stuff for free if you really want to play on emulators.

Nope, the N64 games actually run pretty good all things considered.
Emulation is the way to go.
Now I'll be honest with you, Jim. You know this system looks smaller, but it compares to the other retro gaming consoles. I actually never heard about super x console. I mean, what is this cool about super x console, and you know you can play your favorite game on different platforms and different emulators. Such as: atari, nes, snes, playstation, sega, dreamcast, capcom, and more. The super x console is only sold in japan. If the system does sell in Asia, Oceania, Europe, Africa, South America, and North America. Isn't that right, Jim? There's so many games in Super x Console! How can you beat that?!
There are lots of games in it, but a lot of them are unnecessary, and there are more that don't work properly, so I would recommend assembling your own emulation box if at all possible.
@MadPanicGaming Thanks, but we never make our own emulation boxes for play games. We only have 3 systems a nintendo switch and two xbox 360s. The nintendo Switch is for my two brothers, and it comes with blue and red joy con controllers. Also, they had an xbox 360 slim, which is for my two brothers as well. We got it for free. The xbox 360 e model is mine. If you don't know what it is, the xbox 360 e model, Jim? The console is redesigned it is smaller, sleeker, and lighter. In e3, Microsoft announced the brand new xbox 360 console is the e model that was back in summer 2013, before xbox one releases in fall. The e model looks like an xbox one. The xbox 360 e model has the same fan noise as the slim. Both xbox 360 slim and e have the same fan noise and the noise level. Isn't that right, Jim? The xbox 360 e model looks like an xbox one.!
It's not even worth $30... I'll be piss to play the game I want to play and they all have problems.

I was watching anohter vidoe and I rad the comment and hardly anyone could I read that so get get the controllers to work even after re-programming them. The company provided me the video on programmign. but failed to show how to save the programming. After I programed all the buttons , there is an ok option but it does not allow me to press the ok button. I am sending mine back tommorow!
