Hello, my dear viewers! In this video, I want to talk to you not about the distant past, but about the near future. We rarely explore the newest and latest collections from fashion houses here, but if you enjoy this video and show your support with a like, I’ll continue this series on 2025 collections. Next up would be a discussion about Valentino😉 I’m looking forward to your comments and hope this topic will be just as interesting to you as the previous ones. If not, feel free to share any opinion you have-I’m always curious, and it’s your feedback that shapes this channel. Hugs to all, Valeria.❤
I actually like what Anthony Vaccarello is doing at YSL. I love how he’s preserving iconic looks and style codes and ethos from an iconic designer and previous creative directors (Tom Ford, Stefano Pilati, Hedi Slimane) and just modernizing it for the current style. In a way, Anthony Vaccarello’s work is kinda like what Karl Lagerfeld did at Chanel when he first came in. Karl took iconic pieces from Coco Chanel and changed the fit and how it’s worn to make it more youthful and less matronly. I personally prefer what Anthony Vaccarello is doing by preserving a consistent YSL look… compared to somone like Demna at Balenciaga or Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior where their designs barely resemble the iconic designers’ style.
This collection is beautiful. Unfortunately, the accessories line for the purses is taken on by too basic a customer right now to be appealing. And my guess is most of those customers would hate this collection.
Yes, I probably agree with you more than I disagree, and, in general, this is the very question for the designer. They are excellent at going through archives, but how truly necessary is it today? And how many times can the same thing be used in fashion? That’s the question….
This is also my observation. Anthony Vaccarello seems to be bringing back the prestige of classic Yves Saint Laurent style codes but most of the regular YSL customers are the ones just obsessed with their basic YSL logo bags and wallets who completely don’t care or would never invest in quality clothes like the impeccable tailored suits and coats Anthony is actually bringing. It feels like such a weird disconnect. YSL’s fashion shows and clothes are attended and worn by the most stylish people, while the people who buys their bags are very basic people who like to wear skinny jeans or yoga pants, like suburban mom fashion.
Yves Saint Laurent started as a couture house in 1961 and released haute couture collections for many years. These collections included iconic designs like the Le Smoking tuxedo. However, in 2002, the brand stopped making couture when Yves Saint Laurent retired. Since then, the brand has focused only on ready-to-wear collections, which is what they release today.
That’s an interesting opinion, and I even partially agree with it, but I still believe that any item is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. We ourselves create this concept of luxury by buying bags like Hermès for €10,000. At the same time, I personally own a lot of luxury items, and most of them are indeed of very high quality. So, it’s a debatable question, but thank you for your opinion-it was very interesting!
You know what, business à bag at 10 000dolars NEVER get on m'y monde, i had à bag wittch is vers good qualité for à résonable price, i trust enough myself,

It's not couture.

Fake AI awful voice over that can't pronounce words or names! ..get a real narrator perhaps
You are mistaken, but thank you for watching anyway.
Luxe IS FAKE
