For anyone who thinks they have been ripped off in a (big budget) purchase, if the retailer is not willing to work with you, dispute the purchase through your credit card. They will investigate, suspend your responsibility for the purchase until the outcome. It’s often a matter of having people whose sole focus is dealing with these situations so you can go back to your life
We have been dealing with them for 3 years beginning within 5 wks of delivery.this was after waiting fir back ordered furniture for 6 months. How do you deal with them at this point?
Yep this happened to me and my parents today 😢. They gave us the wrong color couch, and now they are saying that the color that we want “Top Tier” DOESN’T EVEN EXIST! Now we have a EMPTY living room! 😭😭
Yes! Ashley Furniture is horrible! Same issues spent a lot of money on a full bedroom set. 4 out of the 5 pieces were damaged. It took over 6 months and over 5 deliveries not to mention the deliveries they canceled. However still not all fixed. I finally told them not to worry about the last piece because I just wanted them out of my life.
My parents went through this and had banking problems with them too. But my mom is vicious so they walked away with their tails handed to them. You have to be mean girl. Fight tooth and nails and then more.
Omgggggggg I am Soooooo Glad Somebody is speaking up yes simply call your Bank/Credit Card company, for a Stop payment I betcha they star getting THAT SHIT RIGHT.
Wow sorry you are going through this and thank you for letting all of us know! I'm in the middle of looking to furnish an entire townhome. Sofa, dining table, sofa table, beds, etc. I swear I was googling them when I came across your shorts..and I found this! I heard from a few other people a year or two ago that they were awful..I wasn't sure if them, or value city furniture.. Anyway thank you!
☝🏻💁🏻♀️25 years ago we purchased a complete 3 piece sectional sleeper from Bassett and although they sent the wrong configuration, we kept it until the new one was delivered...periodically, every 5-6 years, we have them come service the sectional sleeper restitching as needed, fill the poofs with additional hypoallergenic floor, grease the recliners and sleeper, and polished it up with leather treatment...YAY BASSETT!!! the tags are still on the 2 large pieces😉👍🏻
I purchased the purple mattress ( brand name sold at other places as well) and the Ashley base that goes up & down…..ABSOLUTELY THE BEST EXPERIENCE……HAVE ZERO COMPLAINTS…… NOT ALL ASHLEY’S are terrible
So true. I purchased a sofa and love seat set. Total garbage. Love seat squeaks, cushions sag. Had to put a 2 by 4 board under cushions for support. 14 year old son leaned on arm of love seat. Now it’s squeaking like hell. Furniture is trash. Looks good, but isn’t manufactured well. No more Ashley furniture for me
I worked for a large furniture retailer for 7 years in customer service, we sold and ran 3 Ashley stores in the area. First, Ashley is considered entry level furniture with an expected life of 3-4 years. There is a 1 year warranty on cushion cores and fabric, and only a 3 year warranty on the wood and metal frame since that was our company policy. Second, all of this are issues I heard daily. The crunchy wood was either from the poor build at the factory, or, a delivery person or warehouse worker dropped the seat back and it cracked/broke. It’ll only get worse. Missing parts isn’t uncommon due to companies changing designs and sometimes you get the older design and they don’t make replacement parts for anymore. The missing recliner end isn’t a surprise either. A lot of these sets are designed to be mixed and matched, so you got an incomplete set or the one you were supposed to get had either been damaged prior to delivery, or exchanged with another customers before. Power recliners have issues with motors going out eventually and usb ports are riddled with electrical bugs or missing parts. That frame is made of particle board and the cushions are loose fill and will flatten with time. The leather, if real, is bleached at the factory in order for the dye used can be matched across pieces and are uniform, however the coloring is held in with a thin clearcoat that can and will wear down over time, especially by certain hair products, lotions, and even medications. When the clearcoat wears down, the dye leaches out, slowly turning lighter and lighter which is called bleaching. There is no way to fix this, it is not covered by warranty, and is considered normal wear and tear. Hope some of this helps others with purchases.
Ashley charges my daughter a $40 late fee when she pays on her payment due date. For example her payment is on the 3rd. She pays at 1 PM… late fee because she didn’t pay on the 2nd. Because her account was auto debit for her payment they received almost a thousand more than they should… She tried to call and got nowhere.
We purchased an Ashely kitchen table,I thought that we would clean off the old cracked stain/finish that lasted two months and restrain and epoxy well jokes on me this table was almost two grand and it’s thin decorative plywood glued to a particle board core so sort of like a particle board sandwich what a cheap peace of garbage
Our couch essentially broke on the center of the frame right after a year. Funny part about this? We got the extended warranty. Should have covered everything per the sales rep. Nope, first call, they sent someone out and after inspecting the couch they said it wasn’t broke enough. We had to foot the bill they said to repair it. I called about 5 more times and somehow got a replacement couch but they refused to take the broken one. I’m glad I got a replacement but they should have made everything right to begin with. We still have the broken couch and haven’t tried to move it due to safety issues.
Report them to consumer affairs in Albany and get a local news channel to do an investigation. Bet you can find allot of dissatisfied customers to join with
You are right, I will not buy Ashley Furniture anymore. I bought leather furniture from Ashley and I told the salesman I was allergic to polyester. Not realizing the batting inside is polyester. Now I have to give my furniture away because I can’t sit on it. In the store it’s a big place so I didn’t feel anything but when I got it home in my small space it started affecting me. Their sales people need to be schooled if someone says they are allergic to something but they won’t ever have to worry about me I’m never going there again.
you had that very bad experience with them, I did in my country and I got my money back ASAP Do you have any official authority that can give you back your money in such issues
I just popped into Ashley's after work Friday for the first time. All I need is a night stand. The one I like is $500!!!! Modern looking. Blonde wood. But, I can own it for $12 a month for the next 5 years. Marble top. USB ports. LED lights at the bottom.Quiet drawer close. BUT .... $500 for a NIGHTSTAND? After seeing all these post ... I am going to keep looking.
Really bad service in Fresno. They cancelled delivery with conforming us. And set another date which was not guaranteed. Ashley going to bad service and will lose business
I got a hole in the porch from the delivery people and my home is 12 hours away.... I was doing my kid a favor... So I'm on day 3 of guarding the hole in my kids porch..... Il update the process of the dropped furniture ❤❤❤❤ pray for me.... I have no life because of this hole ... People stagger all over the place just to fall in a hole just like this😮so with only me here .... With my 🪑 guarding the ⛳
Did you order from Ashley’s Furniture or another site? My mom is urging me to order from Ashley Furniture, but I’m wanting to order online from Coleman’s. I’m glad that I saw your video, Thanks!
I got my sofa in yesterday, sat on it 3 hours and had severe back pain, nothing like it was in the store. I know most come with stiff foam until it's broken in, but I can't imagine spending months breaking in this thing. It also has a staple sticking out on the side and the chair isn't level. They told me the best they can do is have a tech come out to try and fix the staple and the chair but I can't return it because exchanges have to be within 3 days of PURCHASE. So now I'm stuck with this horrible stiff couch that I can't return. I mean who has their couch delivered within 3 days of buying it? You should be able to return within 3 DAYS OF DELIVERY!! I really think they do that on purpose.
My grandparents owned a large furniture store in the Appalachian Mountains from the 70's to the early 2000's when their main store and office burned and ultimately ended the business. I'm 31 now in 2024 and still am using furniture that was spared from the fire, stuff that is actual solid wood and made by hand with solid craftmanship. Anything I've bought on my own in the time since has been made either of particle board or has had poor craftmanship and lasted no greater than three years, and even with that longetivity you're talking about stuff falling apart and me just dealing with it before I finally just junk it. Makes no sense how far we've let quality slip in the name of cost-cutting in American industry. Such a thing speaks huge volumes as to why non-domestic products (especially Chinese-made) are so prevalent in the U.S. consumer markets today.
I'm confused if you got it off the showroom you payed for what you got and they don't deliver products from the show room you have to deliver it yourself. You know what you payed for
Someone commented to get your local news to do a story- YES!!! Do that!!! They will investigate and it will open a can of worms for them. I just wanted to recommend their comment so that hopefully you will see all of us mentioning it to you. This is awfullll!!
Girl ok so when I lived in Wisconsin I always had Ashley Furniture and never had a problem but now a few years ago I moved back home to NY I brought a living room sectional when it got there it was making noise every time I sat on it then the ottoman broke it started to rip in different areas so I put in a claim because I got there stupid insurance they told none of the thing’s wrong with the couch is covered I’m like so why did you sell me insurance on a couch that nothing is covered 😮 I brought my kids bunk beds from Bobs discount furniture my son broke rail off I called them and it took me less than 45 mins to put in a claim and they gave me a date for the new bunk beds to arrive said the guys will put them together and take the other ones I will be getting my furniture from them for now on ❤
hi this is wife who bot sleigh bed not the one with drawers but we bot whole set that if we paid cash today we got it for $5k so we did guys come set up and hand me a marker. Had no idea id have to marker the whole set w/in few months. Their brown coating goes by by. nope never again.
I'm online trying to see how to put one of these together. They have these stupid metal rails on the side that don't interlock. I agree they suck and will never buy from them again. Fuck em
Cheap people take free delivery and no install and end up like that if u spent good money pay for full installation so you end up like that I know for sure
@gigi_unbreakablebt I know this review is very old, but seriously thank for this. My parents have 2 17 year old Ashley sofas in our front room, and now, they are no good. the loveseat is fine. but the bigger leather couch. the cushions are sagging. I slept on the big couch for a year and a half so I can give up my bed for my awesome step-grandmother who is amazing. Don't know where my folks got their 12 year old recliner, pretty sure at ashley furniture and not la-z-boy. that chair sucks too. Now when you sit in it, it clunks. chair doesn't lean back when you sit in it. is it comfy? yeah. another complaint about the chair, tears in the leather. the edge of the seat where the back of your legs are placed over, there are major tears in the leather due to my 2 family puppies that jump up on the chair. i don't sit in that chair. i use to back in 2012. but not any more. it's called, grandpa's chair, cause my step-grandfather, use to sit in that chair when he'd come stay with my folks and me. i use to have a beautiful blue soft la-z-boy recliner, and oh my goodness, i loved it. it was passed down from my grandma, to her son, in 2012. but 8 years later in 2020 during covid, my uncle threw it away in the dumpster cause his neece and nephews on his wife's side of the family broke my precious blue recliner. planning on getting a la-z-boy. i asked my biological father to help me get one, and he's going to help me get one. my family's getting ashley furniture soon this year. my step-dad and mom. i'm kinda not interested in ashley. an ashley opened up in my town a few months ago. um, no thank you. but yeah, back to the big couch my folks have, the cushions sag so bad. it squeaks when you sit on it. and my god, my family's leather recliner, the 13 year old beat-up leather recliner that's now ripped up on the cushion of the chair, it squeaks too. i'm definitely getting a la-z-boy. found some that are old school. None of this new school power recliners. old school, i'm talkin' about the manual recliners. my step-grandma and step-grandpa got 2 la-z-boy leather recliners from la-z-boy in my old hometown 11 and a half years ago. i went into la-z-boy in that city with my family to help them buy them. my step-grandma brought hers to her new home last year while her husband's stayed behind at her old house since he accidentally wore it out. leather in both recliners is super thin. but my step-grandma's? i love her chair. comfortable every time i go to her place. i hate sectionals too. hard to get out of them. i gotta to crawl on all fours to crawl over the automan to get off them. ug. i hate them. but yeah, i'm getting my own la-z-boy chair like my old one. a blue recliner with nice padded arms, a plush seat, a rocking recliner with that beautiful soft blue chenille fabric. pretty sure what i'm talking about. found one i love. seriously get a la-z-boy. my step-grandmother's chair is in good shape til this day. i sit in her chair and it feels like she just bought it yesterday. i mean, my family got it for her yesterday. even though that chair and my step-grandpa's la-z-boy were bought back in 2012. hell of a lot better than my mother's ratty old leather recliner that's just terrible. "son go sit on grandpa's chair," my mother says to me as i sit at the kitchen island. "Hell no," is what i want to say. when i get my chair, i'm putting the bitch in my room. she's going to sit next to my queen size bed. and when I want to rock in that chair and feel the chenille fabric touching my skin, as i sit on that couch, i will. family i live with will be jealous but i don't care. i don't, care!!! christmas present i will ask from my father this year, to hlep me get a recliner. la-z-boy. no ashley recliner. nope. a la-z-boy. same exact size of chair like my old blue one that i miss so much. same material. soft blue chenille fabric, and old school classic la-z-boy look. hope this helps to anyone that wants a recliner like the one i'm looking for too.
Ashley furniture have terrible selection, ikea quality and everything is overpriced....mattresses cost twice as they should. I can see same items to choose from like 5 or more years ago, for same or higher price
They show something for a price, so you assume that's what you're paying for that exact item. Nope, it's double that price. WTF?! Nah fam, I be making my own damn furniture!
Not always the case. I have friends who bought a 5k sectional from them and I see the condition of it after a month of use the puffy seats are all saggy and it looks really bad. Now it is almost a year old and I can't in good conscious by from Ashley because where ever they are getting this furniture made is not quality, and 5k is a lot of money for a sofa. The material just doesn't sit right on the sofas. looks terrible. Now on the other hand my mother in law has two love seats from Ashley's different material but still suffers from bulging of fabric in the seat cushions. She is super happy and loves them, I still thinks it should be unacceptable to sell people these pieces. It's really unfortunate that today furniture is made so poorly. But you are absolutely right some people be looking for handouts.
She said Ashly Furniture is TRASH from her soul 😂😂😂💯💯 She said they don’t belong in business! Wow I can feel she telling nothing but the truth. STOP BUYING FURNITURE FROM ASHELY people. No more supporting this company. They are overpriced as well! So many sites online where you can find the same furniture that Ashely sells for 30-40% cheaper.

But then they'll just want to use "wear n tear" as an excuse for everything!
Yep this happened to me and my parents today 😢. They gave us the wrong color couch, and now they are saying that the color that we want “Top Tier” DOESN’T EVEN EXIST! Now we have a EMPTY living room! 😭😭
Oh btw, loved how your fur baby realized you were upset and went over to comfort you. Too cute🥰
I used to work for Ashley Furniture, terrible place to work. They really did have cheap products and screwed customers and workers too
Yes! Ashley Furniture is horrible! Same issues spent a lot of money on a full bedroom set. 4 out of the 5 pieces were damaged. They will not stop payment
So sorry you all had to go through this. Prayers for a good outcome. PS. Ikea furniture would have been way better than this junk !!
Can confirm. Everything we bought from Ashley has been falling apart after
a couple months. Unreal
These words she speaks are true.I'm dealing with them right now and everything she is saying is the absolute truth. Do not buy from Ashley.
Your dog is trying to comfort you. Sorry this happened to you😢
☝🏻💁🏻♀️25 years ago we purchased a complete 3 piece sectional sleeper from Bassett and although they sent the wrong configuration, we kept it until the new one was delivered...periodically, every 5-6 years, we have them come service the sectional sleeper restitching as needed, fill the poofs with additional hypoallergenic floor, grease the recliners and sleeper, and polished it up with leather treatment...YAY BASSETT!!! the tags are still on the 2 large pieces😉👍🏻

Yeah, helps me to realize to go to American Home furniture where I'm going to pay more but I'll definitely find higher end quality.
If they deliver part of what you paid for, make them take it all back, don’t sign the delivery papers.
Getting that “lil sister that don’t take no $h*t” vibe & loving it!
Thanks Gabby 😆🤣
We purchased an Ashely kitchen table,I thought that we would clean off the old cracked stain/finish that lasted two months and restrain and epoxy well jokes on me this table was almost two grand and it’s thin decorative plywood glued to a particle board core so sort of like a particle board sandwich what a cheap peace of garbage

EVERYONE I know who has purchased something from them regrets their purchase
OMGOODNESS! That's fu*@ed up! So what are they gonna do to fix all this?!
Thanks for the warning! I've been looking for new furniture and won't be going there.
Sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing. You're review helps a lot of people.
$10,000 is wild….
Bought the same couch. All the same issues. Customer service was trash and so is the couch.
Agree I am going through that right now
I watched this too late… I’m experiencing this b.S now
glad i watched it. getting a nice recliner in the near future, think i'll spend an extra couple hundred for a la-z-boy.
you had that very bad experience with them, I did in my country and I got my money back ASAP
Do you have any official authority that can give you back your money in such issues
How is it that this company hasn’t been sued? All these deceptive games they play and still you have to pay for garbage
Oh wow I just had Ashley furniture in my cart but not anymore. I never like them and I almost settled but not now
Really bad service in Fresno. They cancelled delivery with conforming us. And set another date which was not guaranteed. Ashley going to bad service and will lose business
I have had a horrible experience with Ashley too. I will never buy anything from them.
I got a hole in the porch from the delivery people and my home is 12 hours away.... I was doing my kid a favor... So I'm on day 3 of guarding the hole in my kids porch..... Did you order from Ashley’s Furniture or another site? My mom is urging me to order from Ashley Furniture, but I’m wanting to order online from Coleman’s. I’m glad that I saw your video, Thanks!
Coleman's might be better.

Agreed. I had a similar experience in CA. Not a good company.
Nebraska Furniture Mart is a good furniture store with my experience.
That’s BS!!! That’s so sad!
I'm going through a similar situation right now.
I'm confused if you got it off the showroom you payed for what you got and they don't deliver products from the show room you have to deliver it yourself. You know what you payed for
Right. As-is.
Someone commented to get your local news to do a story- YES!!! Do that!!! They will investigate and it will open a can of worms for them. I just wanted to recommend their comment so that hopefully you will see all of us mentioning it to you. This is awfullll!!
I have had nothing but an amazing experience with Ashley.
She looks 18 but talks and speaks like a 30 year old woman ?? i don't get it
I'm going through the same thing with them
I work for this company and i can confirm this true
Girl ok so when I lived in Wisconsin I always had Ashley Furniture and never had a problem but now a few years ago I moved back home to NY I brought a living room sectional when it got there it was making noise every time I sat on it then the ottoman broke it started to rip in different areas so I put in a claim because I got there stupid insurance they told none of the thing’s wrong with the couch is covered I’m like so why did you sell me insurance on a couch that nothing is covered 😮 I brought my kids bunk beds from Bobs discount furniture my son broke rail off I called them and it took me less than 45 mins to put in a claim and they gave me a date for the new bunk beds to arrive said the guys will put them together and take the other ones I will be getting my furniture from them for now on ❤
If anything this is an issue with the furniture store, not the company
There are diffrent lvls of ashley they hot the cheap and the ok but if u want real quality a sectional alone will. Cost around 10k
hi this is wife who bot sleigh bed not the one with drawers but we bot whole set that if we paid cash today we got it for $5k so we did guys come set up and hand me a marker. Had no idea id have to marker the whole set w/in few months. Their brown coating goes by by. nope never again.

What size is the cup ?.
YOUBARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!!! THEY SHOULDN'T BE IN BUSSINESS ITS THE WORST COMPANY EVER.
Haverty’s or rooms to go. If the furniture is not heavy don’t buy!
Never get a garantía is lies than a técnico arrive to the house for fix the furniture.
Cheap people take free delivery and no install and end up like that if u spent good money pay for full installation so you end up like that I know for sure
Thanks You saved me $10,000.00
@gigi_unbreakablebt I know this review is very old, but seriously thank for this.
Looks 15 talks like she's 45.
They show something for a price, so you assume that's what you're paying for that exact item. Nope, it's double that price. WTF?! Nah fam, I be making my own damn furniture!
No s on the Ashley 1 and two why did you not try to contact people further up the chain ? They came out and fixed it and not good enough? 😂
Hilarious, one tiny piece of wood and you're looking for freebies by complaining.
@@djeffery7142 the problem is buying squishy sectionals. buy firmer furniture.
Thanks
Sue them
I'm still trying to figure out what you spent $10,000.00 on. Exaggerate much?
You bought an ugly couch that's what happens
witch ashley home store in USA
That's grating.
"Karen,party of one"....
Nice East Coast +!++!€$
Won’t ever consider them regardless. Their radio commercials supporting gay couples , their terrible furniture . But that Boston accent is kinda hot
Two guys railing each other is way hotter
TRASHLEY furniture!
