Wow! This is exactily what I needed. Returning to violin after many years off and this was one of my favorites. I would have had to give up until I found your youtube. Now with your help, I can play this again! 😄
You make a mistake in bar 98. It is e-sharp the whole bar through in the score. You play e-sharp only on the first note, and then e-natural on the other e’s. And thank you for your video’s. They are a great help.
Your recording proves that this prelude is an extremely difficult composition for intonation. Your intonation is not good. I myself am a violin amateur, and I was able to approach good intonation of this composition only after I became familiar with the principles of Pythagorean tuning. This composition is the direct apotheosis of Pythagorean tuning. Unless you are a violin genius (you are not), you have no chance to play this composition cleanly without knowing the principles of Pythagorean tuning. But be careful, the final 2 bars in double touches must be played mostly not in the Pythagorean, but in the just intonation. For example: The tone g-sharp in this two bars has to be touchet at three different places on the E string, and the listener will feel that he is hearing the same g-sharp over and over again.
