I saw a smile of achievement and joy in completing something she knows is genuinely difficult. Doing any of of those with that level of accuracy is excellent, doing them all in succession is splendid, but doing them all on camera? Masterful.
From an amateur violinist standpoint i cant believe what i see and hear. Looks like a miracle xddd. Very inspiring though for sure! go back practicing my scales now. Everyone have a great day
To a layman she's a godess walking amongst humans. The fact that there may be slight imperfections just makes it more believable, genuine. I wish there was versions of these for 1st-2nd year beginners and later, there are many books and scores but it's never clear what should you play at a certain level that is not too easy, not too hard.
Fiddle Time Scales is great for beginner players as it teaches the scales for the first couple of exams plus pieces in the same key to help understand finger placements and give a good understanding of different keys and why scales are important. Makes learning scales interesting too. My students love the book.
Wow fantastic technique. Loving the different bowings and rhythms near the end. Will use some of those with my students. Makes scales so much more interesting and enjoyable. 👍
This was great! I've just started and can't even contemplate how long it is going to take me to nail each of those finger placements perfectly. I struggle just finding the 2nd and 3rd finger positions on the A.
The scales at the beginning & arpeggios moving from major to minor are very much like the Taffanel Gaubert 17 daily exercises I used to do. Every day I played that book for seven years whilst at music college.
Thank you for providing so systematic videos. I am watching it with my kids . We use the video as another teaching video in addition to our own weekly violin lesson . My kids are dreaming to be a violinist and I could not afford another lesson each week. Your video has been of great help ! We are watching one or two weeks a week. My kids are 7 and 6 years old. I will see how long it will take for them to be able to play this Russian scale routine. I want to send you postcard when my kids could do this !😍😍Thanks a lot 💕💕
Excellent. Love this channel with Miss B and her students. I've just started playing violin.. but I know that when the doors to the other levels open, each time there will be a beautiful surprise as the playing gets purer, more refined and more emotional.
Beautiful, well done👏 It's similar in Romania or eastern Europe.I remember before going to college,I used to practice 4 h a day only scales and 4 h concertos. A bit of time off in between🥴 The best time of my life as a violonist. Thank you for your videos 🤗
Thank you for posting this! I’ve been an evangelist of the scale system by Elisabeta Gilels for many years. I first heard about it in the mid 1970s from Leonid Kogan, who just happened to be Prof. Gilels’ husband! I much prefer it over the more popular Flesch scale system.
OK, so now I want to hear G major scale in double stop harmonics: thirds and sixths!🤣 But seriously, this his is just meticulously perfect. Thank you! We are looking a a concertmaster of a major orchestra or soloist of the future, I am sure.
Very inspiring! Tomorrow I'll play along with this fantastic student. I'll have to slow it down and take my time to get the routine, but I'm so sure it'll be super worth it! I've been neglecting scales lately. Shame on me.😔
Felicidades.
as Sam has said, the Carl Flesch has a similar sequence of arpeggios, their logic is to make every arpeggio that has the note of the scale you are currently studying (e.g.: G major scale, the arpeggios that have the G note on their triads are G major, G minor(G on the tonic), Eb major, E minor( G on the third), C major, C minor(G on the fifth) ) , and finish with the diminished and dominant seventh arpeggios, the other warmups are pretty self explanatory, G major in 4 octaves, in thirds, etc.
Also Good is: OTAKAR ŠEVČÍK „Meisterwerke für Violine“ „Schule der Violintechnik“ op. 1 Heft III It incloudes all possibilities of how a scale can be played with many options on the fingering and bowing. It‘s very difficult at the begining but if you practise this 1 hour per day for 1 month your shifts will be very good and your basic intonation will be better aswell. But ofcourse the Carl Flesh scale system is also very good. Practise both and you will be as good as LingLing :)
Desde Argentina , que maravilloso ver ese don recibido por DIOS ,tan excelentemente trabajado , sea para gloria del ETERNO PADRE , y para el bien de las almas !!!
I really like the progression used for playing the scales. I'm kind of surprised you don't go around the whole circle of 4ths, and that thirds, 6ths, Octaves and 10ths aren't covered in the same manner, Going from the Dom7 arpeggio into a 4 Octave scale in Ab, the arpeggios:AbMaj,Abm,DMaj,Ebm,BMaj,Bm,AbDim7,AbDom7:etc.
This is the way it is asked to be presented in technical exams in many Russian schools. This is a four-octave scale, too, and there are not as many of those on the violin.

Not only she nailed the left hand passage but her sound production in high positions is absolutely amazing as well!!!
Ikr!!!!!
You know you're hearing a good musician when you're on the edge of your seat listening to scales.
I like how you have 69 comments
Exactly
Jascha Heifetz would have been seriously impressed by this effort. A compliment doesn't get better than that.
Wow. Julia Bushkova.... She was my teacher at Interlochen Arts Camp in 1996
She smiles at the end, as if it was just a walk in the park.

I really enjoy the harmonic progression of the arpeggios.
I loved the different bowing all demonstrated after each other so I heard the difference immediately.

Lovely scale performance! I, too, was on the edge of my seat. Thank you for this valuable demo!

Great stuff! Wonderful playing, shows mere mortals how it's meant to be done!
Just splendid. She was right. What a treat!
Love the smile at the end :)
With artistry like that, who needs anything more than scales and arpeggios?!
Oh, my goodness. This was just stunning! Love this technique!! Very impressive!
Astounding! How many years did he take to reach this standard?
We start scales early and continue with them. This girl has been playing similar routines for 5-6 years, something like that.
@@ViolinClassUSA Invaluable!!
I'm an adult beginner and I've learnt so much from your channel, thank you for your generosity!

Congrats to you Julia 🙏

Glad to hear that
Just absolutely fantastic, where can we find information on learning theses scales and how to practice them. Thank you both
i just know how to play first scale, feels bad. I wish i could watch some tutorial.
I don’t think it’s exactly the same, but the Carl Flesch scale system has a similar sequence of arpeggios, and also includes thirds, octaves etc.

well, I’m very much jealous. I wish I had a teacher who would practice with me these, instead of doing everything to late already on college
