Carmina Burana 'O Fortuna' by Carl Orff is among the best of classical pieces after all. Although the new 'O Fortuna' isn't a bad candidate by all mean, it just got overwhelmed by the original piece.
The old o fortuna gave a sense of epic proportions, where an actual god was about to bring about divine punishment to your enemies. Along with the terror to us players when fighting the crazed or maniac cats. The new one gives us a feeling of being blessed by our god. Something like we're in the presence of the "Divine One".

BC's old O'fortuna was nearly similar to the original O'fortuna but the BC version was way more epicer. But unfortunately it was chance at version 10.7 probably because of the copyright, the new version of BC O'fortuna's note was chance the note but can know some note similar to the original O'fortuna. And the new BC O'fortuna theme was used the same instruments and theme from the Big Bang Theme (aka Cat God boss fight theme). BTW, Ponos probably did O'fortuna theme in the game before it get copyright because of O'ForTuna, get it 😅? And I like both of the theme and it's epic 😁 but sad 😔 because the old BC O'fortuna replaced, ouch
Also yeah, both are pretty epic af! But imo (in my opinion) the old one is a tad bit better. (Then again this could be because I've gotten use to hearing it, since I've started playing bc till i decided to beat the crap of bun bun 😅)

The old music had this overbearing, intense feeling that felt super epic and fear inducing especially when facing off against an enemy that seems unbeatable when you first play like Manic Titan Cat, the new music really give off the feeling of impending doom and a buildup of a real challenge, truly epic OST. Gonna miss the old one

Yeah the reason was copyright, someone on Regit’s video about the 10.7 update said that the copyright where is was written (Europe I believe[?]) has a law where the copyright, for whatever material, retains for 75 years after the creator passes. O fortuna was written in 1937 and the creator passed long after that, so it’s most likely we’ll never hear that music in battle cats again Honestly just go read the guy’s comment I think he explained it better lol

I like it, but I mostly like the implications in that Ponos, who's still updating and keeping up with this game after what.. 7ish years now going on 8, they decided to freshen this up because the old one is quite literally a watered down MIDI version very-often-used medieval piece of music. Previous one will always have a soft spot in my heart, and i think they should make space for both pieces of music new and old, but I'm content with the innovation too.

Old is better, but the new one fits more in some scenarios having an otherworldly vibe, or more powerful enemies, like just picture facing off agains a corrupt 70ft cat, throwing punches, the second theme seems more plausible for that, but then facing off against something huge, but slaw, or something similar the old version makes more sense so to me, they are both good, I wish they would just have both, crazed cats would have the new ones, and other stages, like cyclones would have the old.
