Tanay. I miss every aircraft so nice planes that times but nowadays everything changed cant beleve22yeara ago I miss Northwest airlines I like the colour this plane combination red and brown and also old United airlines my childhood times days good memories.
El Hombre Reviewer I miss AeroCalifornia so much. It was the only airline that had a direct flight from LAX to Culiacán. Now, I have to drive down to Tijuana in order to travel to Culiacán and it’s quite an inconvenience.
Remembering it, my mum was a flight attended for LTU and I joined her to LAX in 1998 when I was six years old - I was standing for hours at the hotel window seeing endless lines of SouthWest 737s landing.. 22 years later I flew as a first officer on the 747-8 my first departure out of LAX
Wow I love vintage plane spotting videos, I've NEVER even heard of Airlines like TowerAir AccessAir and a bunch of other airlines that I looked up on Wikipedia and says they all went bankrupt and it was really cool to see old liveries and this truly is a cool Blast from the past that I really enjoyed
sad that in addition to there not being quite the variety of airliners on show nowdays, there seems to be a lot less airlines ( or it seems that way anyway! )
Aircrafts dont need to stop over as much as they used to, The Swiss air Asia in the beginning of the video could have been refuelling. Introduction/Rebirth of the railway in many parts of the world could lead to even less air travel, but ultimately a better connected work.
Fantastic - such great quality indeed. I really liked to see all the Air NZ 747s and all the tri-holers too....great work, thank you for sharing . Would love to see more like this from LAX
Such a great variety of classic airliners and liveries, miss those days so much. 3 NZ 747s? You see that with Qantas, I didn't know NZ had that many flights as well.
Miss those days. I worked as a ramper for westair and would work in La a few times a year. At 0:40 is one of our Brasialias. I miss all those old airlines and equipment. It’s all 737 and 320 now. :-(
The late 90s was the last era to see 1960s and 70s planes still in use. It's good how all the major airlines have updated their fleets; however, it's cool to see old DC-10s with the 3 engines including one built within the tail. It's a design we will likely not ever see again.

I like the Federal Express colors much better here in video vs the current, also I remember Southwest Airlines Silver one which I'm not sure if Southwest Airlines still have Silver One, but I think they still have the Tripple Crown Aeard aircraft. Excellent video.
When TWA became American Airlines back in 2001. I think when USAir became US Airways back in 1998. I also think when America West became US Airways back in 2005. I also think when NWA became Delta back in 2008 and when Continental became United back in 2012.
Wow, so much more airlines and variations of aircraft. Back when Lockheed, McDonnell-Douglas, etc were still in the game. Now it’s literally just airbus and Boeing, and the show is run by the 3 legacy carriers along with southwest, JetBlue, and a few others No wonder we’ve been disregard and jammed into planes like sardines, the industry has turned into a quasi-monopoly.
anyone in 2019 still obsessed with old liveries?
Now 2020, but i still like some.
ArmaniCoat me I’m 2020
Southwestern Airline same
Not just liveries but some of the old airlines as well
Love the liveries, love the diversity of airlines. Long live the Bowling Shoe and the Battleship.
Back when 747's dominated international travel. Miss those days.
Most of those airlines don’t exist anymore 22 years later
John Iii very true sadly
Rip Eastern, PanAm, Northwest, and TWA.
jiaxin sun what about America west or continental
sorry i missed some of the airlines
Vasp, Varig, Tower air
Damn, so many on those doesn't exist anymore...so sad... unfair...
@Dylan The Vintage & Antique Collector! Swiss is still here and it's with Lufthansa.:)
EL AL MD-11 ??? I've never seen or knew about that one. Wow!
It was a wet lease from World Airways
All those beautiful 747s and MD-11s!!!!
Thanks for all the likes!!!!
Gonna be a sad day when the last 747 is retired
Nova yah 😭😭😭😭😭
Tanay. I miss every aircraft so nice planes that times but nowadays everything changed cant beleve22yeara ago I miss Northwest airlines I like the colour this plane combination red and brown and also old United airlines my childhood times days good memories.
Oh my God. Varig Airlines. The brazillians miss a lot this airline companie. Good Times. Vasp too.
That Ilyushin 96 take off was spectacular and the old United 747-200 looked nice.
The good old aerocalifornia dc-9, my favorite aircraft and my childhood airline, both gone to this day
El Hombre Reviewer I miss AeroCalifornia so much. It was the only airline that had a direct flight from LAX to Culiacán. Now, I have to drive down to Tijuana in order to travel to Culiacán and it’s quite an inconvenience.
It was even better 40 years ago!
Dc 8s, 707, 727, 737, 747s, Dc 10s,etc!
All those planes were literally filmed in this video...
5:41 My favourite Aeroflot 🤩🤩😍😍😍, old livery
Это был ил86 или ил96
DHL DC-8 at 5:32. Legendary
What TWO people disliked this!!!??? Great footage from this bygone era. I miss these scenes. Reno Air, Northwest DC-10s, USAir 757s...miss these days!
Cathay Pacific, Air NZ and British Airways had RR powered 747's.
Pcorf Creations now they're all gone, except ba
NZ only had a selected few RR ones on the 744 rest were GE

I think you are right unfortunately
garyj79 it is sad and it’s true you don’t see lots of variety of Airlines now days.
A220?
Edit:Though I do agree there were a lot of classic airliners/aircraft back in the day.
Aircrafts dont need to stop over as much as they used to, The Swiss air Asia in the beginning of the video could have been refuelling. Introduction/Rebirth of the railway in many parts of the world could lead to even less air travel, but ultimately a better connected work.
At least half-way decent ones...
The seamless editing in this video is great - rapid non-stop tarmac and runway traffic -
Good old days or Tri-Jets and 747’s
So many classics! Hard to believe that it was only 16 years ago...
Look at all of that variety! We had so much to choose from back then. Fuel prices and the internet really killed the airline industry.
Fantastic - such great quality indeed. I really liked to see all the Air NZ 747s and all the tri-holers too....great work, thank you for sharing . Would love to see more like this from LAX

Lan Chile! I loved that livery. Good old times.
PanAm??? I thought they went under in 1991 or so. Are all of these clips from 1997?
KBurchfiel This would have been 'Pan Am 2' based in FL. I believe they were born out of Carnival Airlines.
PanAm was re established a lot of times
KBurchfiel I think that that is the pan am that went on a bit longer
2001
It ceased operations on December 4th, 1991

Those Varig 747-300s were stunning.
Northwest from LAX to Narita was one of the best flights I've ever taken.
Man, do I ever miss the 90's...and 80's. :(
Ahhh... the TWA L-1011 what a Classic plane
The late 90s was the last era to see 1960s and 70s planes still in use. It's good how all the major airlines have updated their fleets; however, it's cool to see old DC-10s with the 3 engines including one built within the tail. It's a design we will likely not ever see again.
Patrick Anderson Dassault makes 3 engined business jets.
and now we‘re seeing tha last 1980s/90s planes, for example Fokker, BAe, B747/757/767, A340, MD80, before they‘re all retired and scrapped
Amazing memories. Thank you for sharing.
Coolest thing is that if you can spot the registration number on the fuselage, you can look up the plane and see what it’s up to now
Nostalgia overload!!! Amazing video, thank you.
Oh my God. Varig Airlines. The brazillians miss a lot this airline companie. Good Times.
All of this looks like it was filmed today! That's how good it is!
I enjoyed this video TFS!!! brought back memories .. Tower Air !!! I frequented JFK/LAX .. Pan Am ...TWA...
That North West livery is just amazing, I really miss it!!
Ex Lan chile! 🇨🇱🇨🇱 !! 0:18

Thanks for all of the 747s & MD11s! After 9/11 everything is so restricted now it seems and a lot of Airlines have come and gone.
Geez I feel old...
The first time I flow in a plane was on board a Mexicana 727.
I flew in many Aero California DC-9's and 727's when I was kid in the 90's.
Nostalgia to the face! ATA, America West... And the Aeroflot Ilyushin... Whoa.
Oh my God NWA brings back SO many memories. I was heart-broken when I heard they merged with Delta...
Flew on Tower Air B747 Business Class JFK-LAX in 1997...
LAX is still the Best American Airport For Plane watching and spotting . 👍

VASP E VARIG Brasil era mais forte nessa epoca.
This is spectacular! Very good!
Those trijets are amazing especially in older liveries. Keep up with the older spotting series (: Any chance of posting classics at ORD?
I like the Federal Express colors much better here in video vs the current, also I remember Southwest Airlines Silver one which I'm not sure if Southwest Airlines still have Silver One, but I think they still have the Tripple Crown Aeard aircraft. Excellent video.
Two Brazilian defuncts: Varig and Vasp. Nice to see their planes again!
2:01 Southwest Gold livery.

Min Jou it crashed in the Atlantic
Hey the Egypt Air plane crash was SU-GAP and this video is SU-GAO
Is that the Egyptair 767-300 that went down off Nantucket in 1999? That flight was LAX-JFK-Cairo. I can't make out the registration number.
Fantastic happier times before 9/11. Different world today.
Awesome video!
Loving the 727s
The Tristar 😍 flew with one back in 1994
Was that Corsair an SP?
Felice Graziano
Yes it was! I can’t get over how short they look compared to the regular -200s😂
wow way to many now defunct airlines in this video. so sad.
I couldn't delete this after I posted, but the PanAm in the beginning was an Airbus after all. My bad.
Been there
Seen that
24//7//365x20 years
Aerocalifornia 142 can you maintain 230 knots to the OM?

That DHL, was that a 707?? 🙏🙏❤️❤️
DIdn't AccessAir begun operation in 98-99 before going kaput in 2001?
I remember it only being around in 1997, could be wrong though
Awesome!
