Italians have won the EPL titles in the PL era more than any other nationality. English love to downplay Italian accomplishments in football and Italian football in general for some reason.
I'm not really sure why we ever went away from the uefa cup and cup winner's cup. Both names are also far superior to the current iteration. In any case, Gasperini did a sterling job

no, "Dea" (Goddess) is what fans also call Atalanta, a Greek mythological character who was actually a nymph. And "mio Dio" is an ancient saying in Italy.

Wow. football “experts” that have never seen Leverkusen or Atalanta. Very apt to what it means to have a job now. If u don’t understand how good Atalanta are, you should not speak.
I had a shock when I saw Michael Cox but he's excellent for audio but it feels weird watching him (which isn't alot as he's barely on TFS unfortunately)
The spend of Atalanta is at par with the 18th team in EPL. Talk about overperforming. High time epl fans stop calling serie a farmers club and look in the mirror.
EPL fans are too focused on price tags.. A player that is wiling to play for a bottom 5 team will play like a bottom 5 player... Ambition, coaching and focus is what defines a player. Lookman, De Roon were seen as not good enough because they played for relegation teams in EPL.. they are now europa lge champions and will play in UCL
Yeah lol, in Italy Gasperini is surely respected by pundits and fans alike for his work as a manager, but he's known to be very argumentative. As a personality, he's disliked by most football fans.
@@TomAlTass no. He's been involved in arguments with fans, journalists, fellow managers etc. He's often booed in stadiums. So yes, he's disliked by most football fans.
Leverkusen caught the Bundesliga by surprise in their superb run that papered over the cracks of having to come back from 2 goals so many times. All the hype surrounding Alonso was exposed by Gasperini's Atalanta who were far better prepared and totally surprised Bayer. I reckon that Alonso will regret not going to Liverpool because I can see Leverkusen being found out next year, failing to win anything.
If Xabi is as smart as we all think he is. He already knows what the issue is. They are very slow building out from the back sometimes. He got his selection wrong, no striker, no Kossounou, no Andrich. Xhaxa had no protection trying to dictate the tempo. The board offer him support in the window, so I think he will address the problems. They won't win as much, but they will do well.
Again , another plead to keep the show going and inform how can we support the pod directly

This pod is so great, why so little views,
Prob cos most people still only listen to the podcast
Yes, why so Little views?
If atalanta dont end top 4, 9 serie a teams will be in europe
Best footy pod in town. BAR NONE.
Great quiz too. Fiendish
Oh mia Dea is a play of words ‘cause in Italy we say oh mio dio (oh my god) and dea (goddess) is the feminine of god. Good title actually
The best football podcast ever!
Great pod, thoroughly deserved win for Atalanta
Great podcast
"Oh mia dea" Is a play of words for Italian " o mio dio" = oh my god
Tom Williams’ Chelsea Wolves answer - worthy of winning any quiz ! Such a good show!

It’s so weird the gap a team seems to have between going invincible and losing 1 game

I thought producer Charlie was Morten Gamst Pedersen for a second there 😅

Lookman helped me get RB leipzig winning the UCL on fifa 😂
The fact that a football “expert” said “cuddly Gasparini” just quit and let someone who knows things speak
