Wish Jerry would release some new material. It's been 35 years & about time the world had a dose of Dammers lyrical wit and Yamaha organ inflicted upon it.
This is one of the best 5 minute interview I've ever watched. Back when interviews were relaxed and spontaneous. Jerry Dammers and Andy Partridge. Two absolute legends actually talking with one another, learning and having fun. Genius.

Jerry was a handsome young man ❤ shame he was part of the firm to destroy Britain by promoting Multi culturalism, funny how many in the music industry have parents who where in positions of power, makes you wonder 🤔🤔
I think this comment demonstrates exactly why his music took the direction it did, like it or not the undercurrent of xenophobia insinuated in your post is the diametrical opposite of all he believes in.
@@billybop65 Jerry has free will to believe what he wants, as I do. Look at the state of Britain, multi culturalism does not work, labelling me xenophobic is ridiculous
@@princebuster93 as the grandson of an immigrant I beg to differ, your right, free will is a right and you can believe what you want but I happen to disagree with you.

What about Spatial AKA Orchestra?
Two great songwriters. Their music continues to inspire our band.

Are you joking? Jerry looks like he hates every minute of it. He is not having fun!
andy patridge - the king of *ALL* nerds. Dammers is a top top lad.
Dammers, a true legend and Andy-12345!-Partridge yeahh
Holy shit! Is the Andy Partridge interviewing Jerry Dammers?!
This album was as good as the others! Highly underrated!
Not quite as good as More Specials maybe but, yep, a great and ridiculously underrated LP.
@@diskochimp The Specials was the best though. Without a doubt.
What I like is the most original song ever …fantastic
Wow. Andy Partridge, Jerry Dammers and Stuart Adamson
Jerry may have missing teeth but I bet he was attractive to women. He has talent in bucket loads, has a nice nature and isn't bad looking. Cheers.
Ha ha ha. Well. I had a crush on him in 1979 when I was 18.. was obsessed with the specials. Had the posters albums singles . Still love them now
@@sofiaplatini1148 I'm not surprised.
are you a dentist?

Jerry is a Ska music God bless him too.Do you think so too ❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊
Jerry looks ahead of his time here with the way his hair is cut and looks like it's gelled he could be from the mid 90s rather than 1984.
Andy Partridge is in fact related to Alan Partridge.
What an odd interview between two musical icons (in my world at least).
Strange that Dammers chose the Shane MacGowan look, which was never a look that really worked for MacGowan
When did Partridge become a TV presenter?
What was the album?
what's the background song?
girlfriend
Big Country 'Wonderland'
Sheila E - Glamourous Life
Could do without it.
What did he play with the specials ?
He played the keyboard. He was the brains behind the Specials and owned 2 tone records.
Emmanuel C. You can find out more with a Google search. Hope that helps.
He was The Specials.
Is Jerry a hockey player? It looks like he lost some chicklets.
