- Wildfires in New Mexico forced thousands to evacuate an entire town. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham declared a state of emergency and said she is deploying “every available resource” to control the situation.

Us in Roswell are doing our best to help out all evacuees. My church home, Church on the Move is one of many places offering refuge to people who have been forced from their home. We have accommodations in the main sanctuary as well as clothes, shoes, toiletries, blanket, pillows, food, and water. Was there serving today and was able to help out. It is so sad seeing so many people displaced from their homes but we are continuing to pray for New Mexico and are doing our best to provide exceptional hospitality and support to all evacuees out of the Ruidoso area.

The immigrants coming into this country have nothing to do with these fires. Forest fires have been happening in New Mexico for decades, centuries even. But I get some people like to use immigrants as a scapegoat for the country's problems?!?!
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 I live here, the poorest state in the country, yet they can always come up with more millions for illegals, protected illegals criminalize us at will, and citizens suffer. They let murderers go rather then chance deportation. These are facts, stop making excuses for evil.

Ask the mayor where the tax money went, it sure didn't go to RFD.
So you think just because the FD didn't get much money that explains why this fire is threatening the town of Ruidoso? 🙄 Extreme weather conditions make fighting fires extremely difficult to fight regardless how much funding is available.
And the fires that happen in New Mexico or any state are not fought by the local town that is threatened by fire. Depending on how bad the fire is resources and fire fighters can be brought in from other states. Unfortunately that will be harder now as several states in the west have major fires burning.
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 I grew up here, these fires this weather, bad but nothing new, the RFD DEALT WITH IT. I was there Monday morning I LISTEN TO THE LOCALS, what I did not see was the coordinated response necessary.

Calif spent all their money on the homless. Over $25B so far. No money for wildfire fighting.
California has the most advanced fire fighting force in the US which is necessary because it has weather conditions that make for the worst fires!
