I got it on my 13” MBP Late 2016 A1706. Apple kept it for a month and later said I’ll need to replace it for about $600 1.5 years back. I didn’t get it changed and just connected an external monitor with it.
same mine has been hooked to a monitor and working fine for the last 6 years. Sometimes I wish the screen would just pop back on and start working one day hahahaha
My MacBook Pro from 2017 has that issue. My parents (who they had the Mac at the time) took it to Apple one time and they didn’t bother to fix it… trying it again at a different establishment.
It is unfortunate especially considering they've been aware of this issue as it's happened since 2017 models. There was a repair program for that where they covered the cost of that specific repair. The length of those cables need to be extended.
Me too! It started out the vertical lines appeared but would go away after a few minutes. Now I can only open mine (2019 MacBook Pro 13”) only about a quarter of the way open. Not really enough to do anything so I bought a monitor and hook up to that. I can’t afford a new macbook or new screen
@@calciumcarbonate9877The repair program is a disgrace and a full load of spit in everyone’s face not having a 13 inch model. Rarely have i seen more disrespectful shit, only acknowledging the people with smaller screens as they are far cheaper to interchange. Its crazy how multi billion dollar companies are allowed to behave these days. Got the flexgate this morning outta thin air
from my non-pro perspective, it semes it has something to do with the opening of the lid/screen, personaly i would try to see if the screen cable inside is broken or only half conectet. then i would plug the cable back in or bye a new cable, and last bun not least, bye a new screen😞
Same problem with my Mac just right now just mint gap and the problem is same plz any advice me help to out of this problem o don’t understand is that display damage issue ?? Plz help me
I‘m so lost…. I have the exact same issue since today. Have the macbook for 2 years now and suddenly this occured. Is there any cheaper solution than changing the whole screen? 😭😭😭 i already cried that i didn‘t get the m1 one and went for that shiny strip of nonsense instead.

Not worth it. More than 1k bucks can get proper windows laptop and won't have flickering problem. I have both Windows laptop and MacBook pro. The Windows has no trouble for years and MacBook Pro already has screen problem after 3 months of using 😅
Call for class action everyone and this will be fix for sure. Mine is the same way too
What is the call for class action how to fix this?
class action lawsuite, basically he 's asking to file a case against apple.
That’s is LCD FLEXGATE PRBLEM and It’s hard to replace the flex gate cable , better solution is to replace the screen .
Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try before buying a new screen.
Mine as well just started doing this with no issues prior, can’t we sue them for this?

I’m having this same issue on my 2019 MacBook Pro base model. It’s a shame that a 3 year old laptop can do this, and Apple can get away with it.
