Testing Blue Clay To See If It Has Gold!

  • We dig test holes to try and locate more gold bearing blue clay. We also test existing holes and look at the gold under a microscope, after we pan gold and concentrates from the clay. This blue clay has free mill gold, high grade gold vanadium and titanium values. Some copper and various gemstones like tourmaline, quartz crystals, malachite, metallic crystals and much more. The gold deposit is measured at 50m x 50m wide and we believe it may be a siliceous cap to a Volcanic massive sulfide deposit or similar type deposit below. Either way there are gold values and we are happy with finding gold!

Perhaps early on, at some point, there was much more blue clay than what you see here...water has carved this area to the levels we see now...leaving a lot of the blue clay up higher and little at the current water level ...(I'll wait for more of the video...)...amazing.....insanely...
    what am I missing here?

This was a really good quality video in all aspects
I have been able to use much of what you have shown in all these video's to become a much more efficent and effective gold miner ... testing procedures , equiptment , recognition of gold geology ... I am finding ultra fine gold placers everywhere ( ancient streambeds ) in really good quantities
    ( Paying quantities )
I am hoping someday to use some of what I have learned about metalic ores
Right now ... wrestling with melting and smelting ...
    Always remember ...
    Test , test , test ...
    Thank You !
And ... Gold to Ya !

Uh oh. Hopefully not enough people will watch this, else my secret stash could be compromised. LOL. My wife and I dig up buckets of blue clay from one of our rivers and I process it to pull out gold and garnets.--It's not worth it for most people, but I'm obsessive compulsive at times. Occasionally enough, diamonds can be found, but I've not ever found one of value.--mainly microscopic, so they are good for the micrograph images I take. I'm just planning on using the diamonds for grinding and cutting purposes because that's really all they are good for outside of neat pictures. We are saving up the clay for pottery and other craft purposes.

Any silver in it? I only ask because I remember a story of miners I believe here in California Motherload that talked about the Damn Blue Clay Stuff. Made panning gold difficult because of its density but someone had it tested and it turned out to be a lot of silver. He tried to Keep it a secret but that lasted about two days.

I like this blue clay. How did it form. How did it stay like that for 1000s or millions of years. It could have been an incredible trap for minerals, not allowing anything to go through it. The blue comes from the minerals concentrated in it. I think you should investigate the geologic origins of it and obviously get it tested by depth. Maybe the bottom is the sweet spot, maybe just underneath the bottom, maybe right at the top.

Wow! That clay looks almost like quicksand 😳
Depending on the density of that clay is the gold isolated to the top layer of clay or is it pretty consistent throughout? Have you found the bottom of the clay layer? Lastly, would you consider selling a 2 or 3 lb bag of that clay?
Outstanding videos gentlemen, Thank you 👍

Evenly spread. From what we can tell. Some areas we hit a hard rusted fine cement gravel layer below this one we tested from we got 5.5' down and still pure blue clay. Same with another hole we tested 30 feet away. Generally volcanic massive sulfide deposits have a siliceous cap on top and this may be what it is or it may just be some odd deposit. Either way just the clay at 50m x 50m at an average of 1 meter deep is a lot of material and it has an average of 1-2oz/ton gold.

We have lots of blue clay in the creek bank. We have discovered the blue clay seems to be wherever quartz has came up through the host rock. The host rick is silvery and very flaky and shiny. The blue clay will be on both sides of the quartz intrusion, making us think the quartz actually dissolved the host rock and created blue clay. What do you think.?
