I was thinking, if you switch the order of the panels it can be read, "will I ever dance with you again? Only in my dreams." As opposed to , "only in my dreams will I ever dance with you again" and I don't know which is more angsty.

Shoto Todoroki is indeed a complex hero-in-trainning. Growing up in a broken home with little to no experience with love, compassion or empathy, all that change after his time in U.A. Him exploring love would probably the most life-changing thing that ever happen. That last comic also served as a sad reality that nothing last forever. My apologies in advance for being a bummer on that last sentence.
If they do end up together and Momo died, you can expect Todoroki to scorch the earth and freeze enemies to death. Extreme emotions are natural fuels for a quirk like that so either he's gonna burn someone to ashes or freeze them and shatter them to pieces.
