This is more like 5 adorable things Rachel Kim says about foreigners. She's just adorable with a genuine smile.
But it's also very true! I think everything she said is very accurate

@Aljawharah Mustafa Ali Al Saihati// hm, i think that it's very rude asking about part of the body of others when you don't even know the people, but, well, it's very normal a breast be like this, and it depends of a lot of things, it can be in this way just because of the gravity, age, genetics, or other things, who knows.
exactly
It's nice to see a video that's not "what Koreans hate about foreigners""what Koreans find annoying about foreigners" etc. Thanks for the very welcoming video! It's very rare to see!
Honestly, I see more videos of what foreigners hate about Korea.
Nia yes i like it
You know most of westerner are racist, thats why they mostly are hater. Not all but most of them. They think they are superior than the others. They also think beautiful asian woman are stupid and naive. Yeah that is most of the time are right. They easily get fool.
does this applies to asian foreigner? or western only?
Nia true
wait you can actually get food delivered to places that arent your home or office like the park? thats so cool
right, that's amazing
lol u can get it delivered pretty much anywhere
aww im so jealous rn
_I thought that was normal?_ (´・_・`)

You are such an intellectual and your English vocabulary is very high quality and extensive. Loved the video!
Exactly she speaks more English than I do
Five attractive and adorable things Rachel Kim does:
1. Introducing her video clearly and communicating well, and in her second language. A lot of RUclips bloggers just ramble and rant for several minutes (in their native languages), but Rachel introduced her topic in a helpful and interesting way.
2. Being open-minded and genuinely interested in other cultures.
3. Being visibly excited while saying the word excitement.
4. Saying 감사합니다 when someone else says 감사합니다. I don't know whether this is typical in Korean or it's unusual that she just thanked someone for thanking her, but something about this is really charming!
5. Illustrating her ideas with cheesy (and cute) skits.
alligator3wastaken I thank someone for thank to me too lol.
alligator3wastaken j
Aw this was such a sweet comment. Rachel is awesome!
I went to a korean restaurant recently and I thanked the staff in korean after taking a photo of me and my family and they also thanked me so I think its normal politeness
Excalibur no,its 감사합니다
I noticed you are very good at expressing yourself and accurately explaining things, which many native English speakers cannot even do themselves! You also seem like a very kind, open-minded person. Great video!
I was thinking the same thing :)
korean people are brought up that way lol
i never knew it required knowledge of english language to express your feelings?

I love how Koreans help foreigners in subway or in the street. They are all so kind... When I was in Seoul, they run to me asking "Do you need help? Can I help you?" and that's great, because I'm a really shy person and I was afraid to ask for help. They make me feel like I was in the right place, everytime. Also I love how they react when I tried to speak korean... It's really difficult to learn it, but they put value in your efforts! So thank you ~ from my heart!

This is LITERALLY the cutest video ever. Number 4 definitely appeals to me, my handwriting in Korean (as well as in English) is awful. It really opened my eyes on just how lovely people can actual be. On YT all people talk about in the negative things about Korean views on foreigners NOW I've found a video I can share with people when they tell me how differently I will be treated because I'm not Korean. Thank you xx
Makeup Your Mind I can only write in Korean (I have a stutter and lisp that gets 10 x worse when I speak another language) so this was cool to hear.
I have a stammer (it doesn't show a lot now I'm older) so I know you pain lol. Have you got any plans on going to Korea? I'm hoping to go next year so I can pick up the language a lot better. I'll probably just have an epic fail lol.
Lol, I've tried writing smaller and it does look better but its never straight lmaoo. I feel like I should just forever type rather than write lol
Makeup Your Mind public executions, being forced to stay in the country, everybody's starving, limited education, be by forced to cry in public or else labour camp, does this sound ok?
You understand my comment was for South Korea. None of what you said sounds ok to me at all. I've protested and signed petitions about the horrible acts Kim Jong-un has done. So please don't try come for me unless I call for you!

I'm sorry about that. I'm not Korean nor have I lived there (I'm planning to teach there once I'm done with school), but I hope you know not all Koreans are like that. I've heard and read stories about some Koreans trying to help foreigners and being patient with them. I'm sorry you had to deal with those bad apples though. I also hope you have improved in your Korean since then (although I get it if you haven't).
So u lived in Korea? How is the school for foreigners ther?

What I love about Koreans is how cute they sound when they speak in English and how respectful they are to people to parents, elders and even strangers.
JAYE you are korean though. 😅
oSporezy Nope.
JAYE most other Asians are respectful to their elders
hahaha respectful dude if you are even a little unattractive they tell you to get plastic surgery if you aren't snow white you're ugly
Katrina Escobanas have you been to korea? if not don't say shit stupid
The one intimidating thing about trying to speak Korean to a native is the moment you do they'll go off really quick in Korean thinking you're fluent lol.
PiroMunkie wow I relate so badly... but then when they see how your smile faded they notice, and in the worst case they don't notice and ask you even more questions with a fast pace in Korean. XD
😂😂
Yeeess so relatable haha I often came across this when I was in Korea! But everyone was pretty nice about it when they realised my Korean was basic AF and someone would even try speaking to me in English even though they themselves struggled :') if can't communicate fluently together may as well struggle together haha
I think this is true for most countries. This situation seems to occur every time I go on a vacation anywhere 😅
I only know how to say "Hello" "Child" and "Milk" in Korean 😂

what a positive sweet video ❤️
You seem so open-minded and kind! I hope that if I ever travel to Korea, I meet people like you.
Yeah it sucks being ignored when you try to speak Korean. Some people won't answer you if you don't pronounce words properly. Where as in America if someone that speaks Spanish for instance tried to speak English we would carry on with the conversation.
Maybe you were so incomprehensible and they figured they had no means of communicating with you xD
But then some jack ass would come in and say "this is america, speak english"
I hate those people!
Missing: Jimin’s well you know I can’t say all for America but I can speak from where I live. No one says that. No one really is the person to say “ this is America, speak English “ because literally half of the people in America speak Spanish
I think it's because they really just didnt understand what they are saying Ive had experience foreigner asked me something in korea but I really didnt understand If we understand most of us wont ignore Actually foreigners trying to speak in our language is better than who come up and speak english
Yeah right that's why y'all are trying to build a wall to not speak with us 😥😭

'Writing is so cute as it looks like a 5 year old wrote it'. Ahhh that is so adorable that is what our writing looks like to you. I live in China. I'm amazed at people's writing in English and the different writing styles as its so alien compared to Hanzi.
I have the same issue: my writing in Korean looks like a second year primary schoolkid - but everyone loves it!
I wonder what would she say about my writing. I'm still learning so I guess it also will look like a 5 years. I clearly notice that I write waaaay faster in other languages, but of course: still learning Korean... At least I can read my own writing... Rachel is so 귀여 😃
Alien lmao 😂 thats cute
Sounds like you appreciate someone who's compassionate... always an attractive characteristic!
You are so thoughtful and articulate in how you express yourself! Good, kindhearted communication is the basis of forever friendships, whether between people of similar backgrounds and languages, or between foreigners. I am sure you will draw many good people to befriend you. : )

sorry to say, they are right. She is very cute and friendly. "poor taste"? No, thinking someone is cute and friendly when they clearly are is not poor taste.
ingenuitised golovin how is an opinion wrong?? you look like an ass
ingenuitised golovin am opinion can’t be wrong because it’s not FACT. ‘fact’ will be wrong if it’s not true. an OPINION, however, differs from a fact because it cannot be RIGHT or WRONG. it varies from every person. you have your opinion, and I have mine. you were rudely saying your opinion, so I was simply calling you out. my opinion isn’t wrong because it CAN’T be wrong OR right. didn’t everyone learn this in primary/elementary school?? or is it just common sense that you don’t have?? either way, my opinion isn’t wrong. it’s my opinion and I have a right to have them, as do you. but I’m calling you out because of how rude you were saying it.
lmao.. god.. handwriting.. that's so me.. "sometimes it looks like something five-year-old kid wrote" I'm dying-
Buriburin I write that in my native lamguage

aelita DUDE NO WAY people don't do that here, I guess it's because there's a risk of not being able to find the person if they aren't in their house but dude that's awesome ;-;
I got kebabs and tacos delivered to the beach a week ago, and it is like 15minutes ago from the place that sells them so yeah, in France you can too
there are places where you can't drink outside?

Wahoo! Nice video! I think its nice when foreigners learn the local language too,
Absolutely! Learning a new language is Tasty! ;D
So, my vocabulary is 300 words now in Korean, but I only remember half (need more practice). Do you feel this will help me make friends in Korea? I've also tried 3 dishes from there.
I have been studying Korean intensively for almost 2 years now, and my vocabulary is 2000+ words, but I still found it difficult to have a conversation with people. My knowledge of vocabulary is pretty generic, but I have learned most words relating to education, so I was able to have conversations about that haha! Still, Korean people generally really appreciate foreigners who speak Korean and it is easier to connect with people too, as they are often very eager to help you with your language learning endeavours ;) (This is my experience from spending 3 weeks in South Korea, other people may find this to be different)
starcrafter13terran Late as all heck but you might have a basic conversation in Korean. Might be helpful, might not. It depends on what you're talking about.
You are so cute! ^^

Thanks for the positive video, I lived in South Korea, China, and Thailand and always try to respect people, their customs and learn basic language skills.(plus I LOVE trying new food!) it makes me sad when Americans don't respect people that visit here who try to use English, or when western people go East and expect everyone to speak English. My time in Korea was magical, I will be back, I found the food amazing, the people polite, the music was great(traditional and new), all I had to do was smile, and I was treated like a guest. :)
I knew a Canadian who taught in Munmak in Gangwando. The first thing he did was tell the children to stop using their English names. His view was no one should change their names because a foreigner was too stupid to learn their real names.
they should go to school to learn english. English is International language though
We need more people like you in Britain. Our culture is dying because so many people don't respect it and the natives don't speak up about it in fear of being called racist. That's why I love watching videos like this; it's how I wish Britain was.
Yup. It's pretty easy to flirt with foreign girls, whoever is foreign to you, so long as you are polite and confident in your niceness.
"me like you, take clothes off NOW!"
how did i do?
More important is that you are HONEST in your "niceness". Too many guys play by "nice" rules just to get girls into bed, but are actually not interested in them as people. Nobody wants to get hit on by someone pretending to be decent.
Serai3 Be careful with going to Japan then. They will manipulate you to get "the task" done. That is all. It's called tatemae たてまえ。
It's basically just them being not themselves but super polite, suggest drinking alcohol with them, until they can pounce on you and go dalls beep. But if you think about it, most guys are this way so. Have fun trying to distinguish what is reality and what is fake :) Glad I'm not a girl.
LOL. Hate to break this to you, but people do that all over. It's called "being polite", and it's certainly not always sincere or honest. I've known people who would knife you in the back but everyone else would never believe it. And clearly you're not a girl, or else you'd know we spend our ENTIRE LIVES trying to figure out if guys are honestly good or duplicitous serial killers. So some Japanese politeness is hardly the challenge you seem to think it is. In fact, I'd find it a blessed respite from the raging assholery that one can find in American guys. At least Japanese culture admits of respect for the other person to the extent of - at the very least - not threatening to kill them if they don't want to suck your dick.
Oh, and the getting drunk gambit wouldn't work, because I don't drink. Hate the stuff, damn it's nasty.
I love how you're focusing on the pros of foreigners, other videos don't usually do that!
That is so sweet. Every Korean person I have met is pleasantly surprised when I greet or thank them in Korean. Even such small gestures as a slight bow or handing and receiving things with two hands, demonstrating an interest in their language and culture, are appreciated.
you're literally so adorable and positive I love it. I fee like (I'm not saying it's true) Koreans are often displayed as close minded or rude or ignorant towards foreigners or that they just don't fit their standards but your outlook on everything is just so sweet. People who notice the small things are always the best. Subscribed btw (:
Great videos! I hope you wont stop

I've read so many bad things about Korea, but i believe they are nice and who goes there should respect their culture. I'm learning korean, hope one day i can go there. ❤ This was a nice video, but as in every country there are good and bad things, such as people thinking, seeing life etc but most of the time they point out the bad ones, which made me sad, and i was thinking that koreans wouldn't like me as a foreigner.
Like you've said, there's good and bad sides to every country. If you go to South Korea, sure the Koreans there might be awkward at first, as they might assume you don't know Korean and it makes it hard for them (and you) to communicate. I think the longer you live in Korea, the likelihood of meeting rude Koreans gets bigger but I can assure you not all Koreans are like that. As South Korea gets more foreigners, the Koreans are getting more and more used to them. The older generation might have a harder time accepting them and you, as they simply saw their own people for a long time. But the younger generation is getting used to them and accepting them. Yes, South Korea does have bad sides but then again, doesn't anything and everyone? I'm not saying that if you go, every Korean will be all fine and dandy but I'm also not saying that every Korean will be hateful. Since you're a foreigner, yeah you're gonna stand out and you might always stand out (assuming you don't look Asian) and that's okay. You (and the Koreans), will get used to it. Or you might just have to.
What-Who could possibly dislike this?
Loved your video!
I'm always stunned when someone from Korea says something in English because their words are short and cute, that's why when someone from Korea makes a grammatical error, I don't care because their adorableness make up for it.
Those litte clips were so adorable

damn how many languages do you want to learn??? But then again, I shouldn't be talking since I want to learn Japanese, Russian, French and Spanish.
Freee27 Freee27 oh no I don't know very many languages, well to me since I feel like many more people are learning more languages that knowing the amount that I know is normal in a way maybe that's just me though, but anyways I do hope to one day know at least 7 languages and be fluent in 5, maybe one day (: and I can't speak about Russian but Japanese, Spanish, and French are lovely languages to learn! Although all languages are great to learn and it's great that you want to learn so many!(: I hope you can achieve that goal, it may be difficult at times (although life in general can be difficult lol) it's worth it when you notice how much progress has been made, best wishes to you!(:

you made me smile today. what a great video. i work in Korea town in Los Angeles and the older korean woman smile when i greet them in Korean. most are shocked but are happy to see me every month.
I have had experience with the hand writing one. I worked with a middle aged Korean woman for many years (I am in the US) and I figured I should take advantage of it and learn some Korean. While walking and talking I asked her a Korean pronunciation question, and she was trying to explain it. I wrote down the Korean phase quickly from memory and asked her if it was correct. Her jaw dropped and she was shocked that I could write anything. Putting in the effort to bridge the east-west gap goes along way and it is really appreciated.
I'm half-Korean, and I'm Rachel too! :)

I love her charisma! It's overflowing.
These are my same exact thoughts on when foreigners come to America! The only thing is there are some sloppy handwriting from native speakers so usually when someone foreign isn't familiar with writing english and doesnt write so well its fine because we deal with that from our natives too 😂 im pretty sure ive seen foreigners write better than some actually
I'm planning to live in South Korea for a year, and if I LOVE LOVE it, I might live there for more years😊
오 ~ 션 나왔다! ㅋㅋㅋ 동영상 잘 봤습니다!
Dude - I'm seeing you everywhere lately 👌
미국친구 Michin Alex omfg i love how your channel name is a play on words
haiiithereee30
Can you explain, please? :)
미국친구 = American Friend (due to migook meaning 'America' and chingu meaning 'friend')
'미친' is shortening Migook and Chingu by having the first syllables provide informal context for the word. This is also seen in the more affectionate '남친' aka namchin or boyfriend.
Where the play on words comes in, is the word 미친. It also means crazy/mad/deranged. So, 아랙스은 미친 미친.
Derek Kim
Thank you so much, Derek! 😊

Learning what I could of the language, unfortunately no I never learned to write, but exploring, seeing the beautiful monuments all over, noticing the differences and similarities, and oh my the detail to everything. So much detail it always had me in awe. I will always remember my time in your country as some of the best times of my life.
I did all 5 of these things when I visited Korea. I'm proud of myself! 😊😁
