Something I've found very useful with the Warqueen is the S2D reaction to heal 3w *before* damage is allocated it can help a lot to keep her alive to pop the attack aura in later turns. Also the S2D ability to boost her own strength means she can throw down with high toughness stuff if you really need to clear something t5/6 or higher (stormcast) off an objective
Do you think it's good for the game that a fighter like the Fomoroid Crusher is available to everyone so every faction is playable, or that it's bad because it's so omnipresent and reduces variety?
I'm in two minds about allies like the Fomoroid and other big smashy fighters. On the one hand, they do reduce variety in lists because most of the time you can just go chaff+FOMO and have a very well functioning list. On the other hand, it does allow basically any warband to work as the 'base' whilst still being competitively viable due to the several tactical holes that the FOMO fills. I think that it might be a necessary evil at this point where if you got rid of it, the amount of different chaos warbands you see would go down (because people would gravitate to those warbands that have the answers internally, and there aren't alot). Though I would definitely like to see those types of fighters go up in points due to their effect on pushing out midrange fighters.
Slakeslash is flat out better imo; Trades in 3 wounds and a point of range for an extra crit at a 30 point discount. Using blessings you can make Slakeslash substantially better than the Slakehorn with a bonus point of strength or an attack for the same price.
The Slaughterborn with Great Axe is an absolute beast in combat. He has enough basic damage to make good use out of Display of Brutality though I would say that *all* he brings to the table is damage numbers so isn't as flashy as some of the other options. Personally I would buff him with +1 base damage giving a 5/5/3/5 damage profile which is outright scary.
Thanks for a very good and short overview!
Glad you enjoyed it!

How about... Double Warqueen?

Especially with the new stuff coming out making avoiding same model syndrome easier

Yes. But it’s a bandaid as well.
I thought the Trueblood wasn't the only net ally Chaos could have - or did they change the Centurion Marshal?
Technically yes, but noone is taking the Centaurian at 295 just for the net XD
How does Slakeslash fare against Slaangor Slake Horn? I see him as a worthy discount (195 vs 225 points) with still solid stats.

Slakehorn better ally. Slakelsash better in faction, but you can take both and bless for strength to shred
What do you think of a Slaughterborn ally?

Yeah he’s a decently priced beat stick I do enjoy him
