I feel so sad to see people saying they are waiting for season two in comments that are six years old now. In 2020, I can sadly say it will never get a season two.
Heard that so many Kyo-Ani staff who worked on this anime died in that awful incident...such a wonderful anime..i hope they get the strength to make a second season with remaining 2 volume .
Even if they could I think they can't. With the remaining 2 volumes we could easily have at least 12-13 episodes but I've read the light novel and volume 6 didn't even seem like a proper ending for me at least. If the anime is going to end like it is now in the light novel it's going to hurt me. Volume 6's ending wasn't really like an ending more of, it was a sign of a continuation and if the animation stops their then the ending of the anime wouldn't make much sense. So I think if they are going to animate it then they'd have to wait for a volume 7.

If you dont know she is also ritsu's VA. Everytime I see ritsu doing the sweet kinda mocking voice that she does on K-on it's pretty much just Chitanda 🤣.
now that i've learned that chitanda's seiyuu is the same as ritsu's, I can't take chitanda seriously anymore all I hear is when ricchan is doing her fake voice in k-on.
I doubt these VAs would still be for the job once there will be a Hyouka S2 (since the 7th volume is now being written by the author), and given the tragic incident in 2019. This might also be the reason why KyoAni will not animate the upcoming Shoushimin anime this July 2024.
I'm really curious about how they decide the way she should sing without listening the song (I mean when they write the song it is only on paper which clearly doesn't have any audio, yet they seem to know how the song should be sung how?????)
Hyouka season 2 is fairly possible since any studio could just take up the job of animating it and the author is a slow writer, probably because he wants to make it perfect as possible
